Ooh I go away for a few days and come back to a new thread!

nutella my dh forgot about mothers day too this year and valentines day ...I made him feel suitably bad about it.

And I know what you mean about the list - it seems to me like there are loads of dc2s :)

I'm so sorry to all those ladies with ms, still waiting for mine to kick in. With dd I would only feel better if I ate something crunchy. Or if someone within earshot ate something crunchy Grin

Kyzordz · 19/03/2012 19:45

omgbfp I'm not sure exactly what to put in. I had my implant removed 6 weeks ago today, and the CBD test says 3+, and the first day of my last period was the 26th January. I know you'd normally just go on the first day of your last period but after having the implant in i've no idea if my cycle is normal or not, and if I wen't on 26/01/12 then i'd be about 7 weeks gone, but surely I couldn't be if my implant has only been out for 6 weeks and the CBD test said 2-3 weeks last week and 3+ this week.

Does that make sense? I've no idea how to work it out Confused

Kyzordz · 19/03/2012 19:49

6 weeks ago today being 06/02/2012 if that helps any!

ellesabe · 19/03/2012 19:49

chunkychicken the only time I vomitted with dd was when brushing my teeth too! Weird. I didn't realise that was a common thing!

And I too am napping with dd every afternoon at the moment too. Pyjamas and everything. It's lush! Everyone said pregnancy would be more tiring with a toddler to look after too but so far it's easier than working full-time! I may eat my words...

OMGBFP · 19/03/2012 20:10

Evening all :)

I get you Kyzordz, can see why you are a bit confuddled!

Ellesabe - your OH can't have forgotten Valentine's surely? You perhaps wouldn't be posting in here? Wink

I too was a toothbrush chucker with DC1, very common it seems!

The gummy bear thing seems to be sticking somewhat lol

Kyzordz · 19/03/2012 20:17

Exactly :) I'm hoping the doctors can give me something to go on tomorrow when i've been for my appointment :)

Belgrano · 19/03/2012 20:35

Hi ladies new thread, wow! Lots of us. Checking in and settling down....
Hi to chunky chicken, I remember you and send lots of luck your way this time.
Detective let us know how you get on at hosp.
And my thoughts are going out to all of you who are having to wonder if all is ok or not.

BottleRed76 · 19/03/2012 20:36

Hi Guys!
I'm a late entry for the Nov2012 hatching! 28th November according to online EDD calculators

Got a BFP on Sunday morning. AF due today/tomorrow so very nervous it won't stick! God knows how many times I've been to loo to check...... I am convinced something will go wrong.

I'm 35 and this is our first. TTC for a little while but not very organised about it. Started using a Clear Blue monitor this cycle and we got jackpot!

So far, no symtoms at all - just some twinges in pelvis but not the same as period pains. I'm also cold all the time but that might be completely unrelated.

Booked into docs on Friday to get in the system or whatever it is that they do at the first appointment.

Considering telling my parents after Friday which I know some people frown upon but If something bad were to happen then we'd tell them anyway so they might aswell get the good announcement.

Can anyone recommend a good book for first timers?
I hear Miriam Stoppard books are quite good.

Thechick · 19/03/2012 21:00

BottleRed76 welcome to the list and congratulations. I don't have any real symptoms yet either and I'm just under a week ahead of you, it was the same with my first, no sore boobs, no ms, woohoo!!

Don't worry about what people frown upon. We all have our own lives and and our own reasons for doing things or not doing things. It doesn't really matter what anyone else thinks. I've told my parents and my best friend and my boss and my sister, oh and a random old friend I bumped into on the train and another work colleague and another good friend. It's such good news, I want to share. And if it doesn't work out then those are the people that will be there for me.

thereistheball · 19/03/2012 21:01

I love mini milks Envy

Thechick · 19/03/2012 21:02

I love Hartleys jelly. Any flavour will do.

WaitingForMe · 19/03/2012 21:03

I've been cold BottleRed. I think it's tied to low blood pressure. Treating for low blood pressure (drinking plenty of water and staying active) has helped me. That and my blanket joining us on the sofa every night.

blonderthanred · 19/03/2012 21:03

Hi Bottle, judging from your username we have some things in common.

Congrats on your BFP, I'm fairly clueless too but enjoying the MN pg book and the babycentre phone app.

Kyzordz · 19/03/2012 21:15

bottle congrats :) I had planned to not tell people until I was further along but I decided to tell close family and friends, I just couldn't keep it to myself!

Have just eaten, feel much less sick now! I seem to feel alot more nauseous when i'm hungry for some reason

ellesabe · 19/03/2012 21:36

bottlered and waiting I have also been cold and stupidly hadn't twigged that it was related! I'm usually really warm, especially in bed Grin and dh often refers to me as his personal hot-water bottle! But I have been sooooo freezing and have even resorted to wearing socks in bed. Unheard of!

Stuntnun · 19/03/2012 21:44

Kyzordz after your implant was taken out it could have been anything from two to four weeks before you ovulated so you won't be able to get your exact due date until they scan you. The date from the scan is supposed to be more accurate than from your LMP.

Hellobear for acid reflux try not bending over at the middle because that usually triggers it. I was seriously addicted to Rennies Remegel with DS2.

stabiliser15 · 19/03/2012 22:00

Hello, please can I join in? Had my BFP on Sunday. LMP started on 29/01/12 but tests after 28 and 35 days were negative, so am not sure when my EDD is, apart from November sometime! I am guessing I could be anything between 4 and 7 weeks, seeing GP next week but may have to wait for scan to know for sure.

FreddieMercurysBolero · 20/03/2012 00:13

Hello all! Could somebody please add me to the list?

FreddieMercurysBolero [27] DC2 EDD 11/11/12

nothing much else to add, except that I am HUGE and puffy and have fat hands already and I'm NOT happy about it.

TheDetective · 20/03/2012 00:14

Congraulations - even more newbies!! What a busy bus! And the month isn't through yet!

I'm vomit free at present - got a lovely (!) stemetil injection at just before 7. Urine already showing ketones (screw you GP for not even checking a urine sample!) was showing leuccocytes and blood so been give antibiotics - I'm well aware I don't have a UTI - these are normal things in my urine. I had a cystoscopy and dilated urethra done in 2010 for 14 years of recurrent UTIs. I think it's safe to say, I KNOW when I have one. And I havent had one since the operation. And I don't have one now. Anyway. Been given cyclizine to take on top of stemetil. Told to come back if I start vomiting uncontrollably again.

The doctor who saw me was very pleasant, listened to me, respected that I've been through this before, and asked me what treatment worked for me. All in all I'm very impressed.

I'd of come on here sooner but Dp had run me a bath for when I got in, then he made me some tea, which I had in the bath lol, and I fell asleep straight after. Of course, now I am wide awake and hungry. Hmm

wellieboots · 20/03/2012 02:44

Congrats to newbies! Can't believe were on part 2 already
Glad to see you got some help at hospital detective and felt listened to

So sorry to hear your news booboo, thinking of you - mc is such an incredibly painful and often misunderstood thing to go through, stay close to each other and take it very easy xxx

Any news izzy? Still praying and hoping for you.

ConfusedMumDotCom · 20/03/2012 03:10

Arrrgh. Can't sleep.

goes to get a cup of tea and a Biscuit

Iheartpasties · 20/03/2012 05:19

wow! on our second thread already!!

Lilliana · 20/03/2012 07:42

Wow, I can't keep up with this thread! 'Must do better'

booboo So sorry, take care of yourself and hope that you are being looked after xx

WW thanks so much for the link. Feeling much better about things.

Doc was lovely - after hearing horror stories about how uninterested others were I was expecting the worst! She gave me an internal exam (and told me now I was pg to leave my dignity at the door Grin) said everything felt like it was in the right place and not to worry. however she did stress it was early days and the chance of mc was still quite high.

Had a rubbish nights sleep last night and had a dream about having to restrain a child at school - suddenly realised this was a possibility and I had better tell my HT that I'm pg sooner than I wanted.

Detective so hope you continue feeling better and thanks for your vomit posts, I know they shouldn't but they did make me smile!

Evilwater · 20/03/2012 07:56

Wow look at us! On part 2!
Phoned the doctors, and they just want another sample. I've sorted out my 7 nights yay!!

I'm feeling brighter today, so maybe I can have some breakfast.
EW

DesperateHousewife21 · 20/03/2012 08:17

I'm still obsessing over mc :(

I just wish I knew what was going on in there, statistics for peace of mind: chance of mc at 6 weeks is 15% and at 8 weeks 3% and 12 weeks is just 1% so we all have a v good chance of having lovely babies.

I just SO want a scan just to make sure it's where it should be but I know I have to wait another 6 weeks, that's as long as I've been preg!
