I'm not sure I'm ready to buy nappies yet! Grin But I did buy a very cute snuggle blanket with elephants on it today, a little fleecy body suit with a giraffe on it (Sept = spring in NZ, and still quite chilly) and some cot sheets covered in lions, giraffes and elephants because they were in the sale. Can you see a theme developing? Wink Now DH is getting into the infrastructure purchasing and doing some serious stroller/pram research. Just as well, because there's too much choice for my little brain.

Beeblebear · 06/05/2012 15:48

A high chair Portable, strap to a chair seat An exersaucer that collapses down in size A bouncy chair A baby bath tub A wagon A crib set (even though I have one) winnie the pooh a couple of gro bags and some sleepers A bag full of hard board books A breast feeding pillow ...and a storm trooper hemet with sound effects and voice changer. Lol Top ↑ Reply ↓Pinpzn... Jungle theme perhaps? That is what I am hoping for.

Went out to garage sales yesterday and picked up a ton of stuff!

Beeblebear · 06/05/2012 15:49

Wow that msg got quite jumbled... But you get the idea. Lol

Copy paste does not work well on mobile

Hi all Had quite a busy weekend again,DP been off on the first of many stags this summer,so spent some quality time with family after work yesterday which was lovely,& have been in the garden most of today as it's not been raining. So far out there I have planted some bulbs did bit of weeding mowed the lawn (twice as it was long!) sorted the edging & put some solar lights in we were given when we moved. As a result I'm absoluetly fucked shattered now!!!

Still no movement (I dont think) 17wks today

HeyMicky · 06/05/2012 19:28

Evening, ladies. Been lurking but not posting as there's not much to say. 19+5, still not felt any kicks but I've been listening to the heart n our home doppler. 20 week scan on Wednesday.

Bought travel cot, monitor and playpen; we're inheriting almost everything else. Also played with the breast pump yesterday to make sure it was working and we had all the parts (given to us by a friend) - DH quite freaked out Grin

pinpan · 06/05/2012 21:28

You're pretty close with the jungle theme, Beeblebear! I'm not sure it's quite that organised, and will be more along the lines of "animals and dinosaurs wot I like."

We bought our stroller/pram thing last night - second hand, but almost unused. The auction page sounded like a couple with slightly more money than sense, where she kept deciding they needed something different (and buying new) and he had decided that the old stuff had to be sold. So we've got a Phil & Ted's Smart with a peanut bassinet (not even out of the wrapping). It's pretty flat here and I suddenly got the fear about pushing a giant beast around shops and things, so we'll think about getting something more off-road when the sprog is a bit bigger and we're feeling more adventurous again.

In other news, I got up this morning having spent half the night awake because both my hips hurt like hell, and then burst into tears because I couldn't get the top off a bottle of orange juice. And the effing internet keeps going up and down like a yoyo. Now I'm chanting the mantra, "the world isn't against you, it's just the hormones," over and over again, and trying to believe it. :(

Bubblebell1 · 07/05/2012 08:32

Happy birthday thunder

I couldn't believe it when I woke and the sun was actually shining! Grin

Guccigirl79 · 07/05/2012 12:02

Happy 30th birthday Thunder!! Thanks hope you have a lovely day :)

It's raining again here, had all of 2 dry days!! Not doing much today as I ache all over from gardening yesterday & as a result am absolutely exhausted today & have no energy at all to do any of the housework that awaits me!

GizzyBoo · 07/05/2012 14:59

Happy Birthday Thunder ThanksThanks

Hope you all have a good weekend. I hate Mondays when all the kids go back to school and OH goes back to work...I get lonely Blush
No bank holiday here today!

Yay for tiny kicks Micky Grin

Buggy sounds great Pinpan

I plan to do some shopping in a couple of weeks when we are on the mainland for my 20 weeks scan. Shall have to travel with an empty car lol

I was sat here feeling a bit meh and glum this afternoon and then the midwife just rang. The new GP is learning to scan and she wondered if I would pop down for an extra appointment tomorrow and let him have a go on me..... errrr yeah Grin
So now I feel better as well as getting another peek at the wee button (got a sneaky one at my 15/16 week appointment too) I am hoping to hear the heartbeat for the first time Smile

Funny how quickly my moods change. Hormones eh BlushGrin

Happy birthday for yesterday Thunder

I'm back from Paris. Was lovely, but overdid it a bit. We were there 5 days, took DD to Disney on the Tuesday, rested on the Weds and then went into Paris on the Thurs. Had to make DP sleep on the sofa though as he was ill and snoring so I wasn't getting any sleep. Felt bad about it!

Just under 3 weeks til 20wk scan. Our local hospital doesn't tell us the sex, but luckily my sister works at a private practice where we can find out, so she's going to try and get me in and not have to pay £80 for it. For the past year, I wasn't talking to any of my family (long story), but when they found out I'm PG, they've been doing all they can to make up for things. In some ways I'm kind of glad, though still angry at them for reasons, but I just don't have the strength to be as angry with them IYKWIM.

GizzyBoo · 08/05/2012 14:35

Oh my actual god....I am never going to be able to visit the GP ever again Blush

I think I have mentioned before our new young German GP is rather easy on the eyes. Well he had seriously out done himself today.....striding in wearing jeans and a tight rugby T with a hint of stubble....welcoming grin and all......I was literally drooling Blush

FFS....what am I gonna do now!!!! ShockShock

Oh and pleased you had a good holiday Bear
Take a few days rest now.
Its good to hear family are making an effort but I am sure it will take some time on your part to come to terms with whatever has gone on in the past. Don't rush it for their sake Smile

Ha ha, gizzy. My new chiropracter is like that - smells delicious, too. They make you wear a hospital gown, not regular clothes, so luckily I was wearing nice pants and bra! When he undid my bra to work on my back (usual chiro does this too, nothing dodgy) I nearly wet myself. Blushing hugely when I came our, DH has the hump Grin

Booked another appointment, naturally...

RnB · 08/05/2012 19:14

Hello ladies, welcome to new ladies :)

Had my 20 wk scan today, it was lovely! It was really clear. And we're having a boy :)

MsInterpret · 08/05/2012 20:00

COngrats on the boy RnB. Our scan's on Friday Grin.

Had a lovely weekend here but bloody knackered now and all out of sorts wiht it being Tuesday not Monday!

Love a bit lascivious drooling by proxy gizzy, thanks for that...X

Hi to shopgal and welcome to the forum. Like gizzy said, jump right in - how are you feeling? Do you have other children (also known as DC, for Darling Children)?

Bear1984 · 08/05/2012 20:03

I need a hottie doctor... Envy lol!

Congrats on the boy RnB

Hello shopgal

MakeTeaNotWar · 08/05/2012 20:10

Congrats RnB we're going to have start updating our list with boys and girls! Our 20 week scan in on Thursday and I am sooooooooo nervous as I haven't felt baby move yet so am feeling anxious about it. Lucky it's first thing so I don't have to get through the whole day. No plans to find out the sex though!

Loving the hottie doctor/chiropractor stories!

elvislives2012 · 09/05/2012 07:12

Hi all, still here but lurking. Loving the scan stories, seems like AGES til we have ours! Just wondering if those of you that have felt movement, is this your first baby? It's mine and I'm 17 weeks and can't be sure if what I'm feeling is movement or gas?!
