baileys ! stunned for you love! can't imagine how shocked/happy/freaked out you must be!!!!

cazzabazza · 16/03/2012 17:34

Wow baileyslover, congrats on the triplets news!! I can imagine it must have been quite a shock to find out. They are already very special babies and I'm sure you'll be an amazing mummy!

funchum8am · 16/03/2012 17:39

baileys! Triplets eh, you are going to have a fascinating time ahead of you. They'll give you the best care available I'm sure. How helpful is your mum/best friend?!

rightontime · 16/03/2012 17:48

Welcome Baileys but OMG to triplets. You will cope because thats what you will have to do. Don't know about a 3rd boob but a 3rd arm might be useful. FC everything goes smoothly for you.

I had my 2nd scan today, will be 16weeks tomorrow. Little wiggly bean in there. Was kicking its legs and waving its hands all over the place. Grin The only problem is now waiting for the 20week scan which is when things started to go wrong last time so for me this is where the stress begins. If I start to feel huge kicks I might relax a little bit.

Methe I have no idea about anything you were talking about either (sorry) but Mr Afifi sounds great, love his name too!

I am just about getting a bump as opposed to flab. Getting rounder and harder every day. The worst thing is that I am actually trying to hide it as I don't feel very happy/relaxed being pregnant. It is getting more difficult as the whether is getting warmer as I can't wear my baggy jumpers.

Whatever (think it was you) I googled PGP and it sounds exactly like what I get. Its not been too bad this time round but I put that down to not being at work. My last 2 pregnancies it was awful and much worse while sitting down at work. Hope you are not suffering too badly.

My sister is coming over tomorrow. She is 16 weeks today and it will be the first time I have seen her since she has been pregnant so will be good to see how she is getting on and if she has a bump yet or not. I suspect not because she is skinny and it is her first baby so she has all her stomach muscles intact, unlike me lol! Sorry that turned it to a bit of an essay. Blush

Whatevertheweather · 16/03/2012 18:20

Triplets!! Wow what amazing news Bailey Grin Can't imagine what a shock that must have been. Do you have any other dc?

Methe glad you are getting the best care possible.

Rightontime yay for a good 16 week scan. Another hurdle hurdled Smile

baileyslover · 16/03/2012 18:31

Have DS who is just 16mths so he will be 22 months at due date, but would expect them at least 4-6weeks early. Trying to concentrate on the pregnancy for now, and will worry about the logistics at a later dateSmile
Going on holiday tomorrow with all my family, they don't even know I am pregnant so it will be a double whammy when we tell them.

leelteloo · 16/03/2012 18:34

Wow wow wow to triplets Grin I saw an amazing triple buggy the other day, so much to think about! But a wonderful miracle.

leelteloo · 16/03/2012 18:36

Triple wow again to 4 under 2!!!! Xx

Methe · 16/03/2012 18:49

Triplets Shock

Congratulations Congratulations Congratulations!!

JessTT · 16/03/2012 19:02

Wow, Bailey Congratulations! Triplets.....scary but amazing I imagine!

I finally had my 12 week scan (more like 13ish week!) today and was hugely relieved to see one wriggly bubba in there! :-) Was waaaaay more nervous this time round for some reason than with my first....but feel like I can relax now.

xxx

ballroomblitz · 16/03/2012 19:03

Oh my oh my bailey Shock I think I would drop off the bed if they told me triplets. Wonderful - congratulations!!! (and there was us thinking we had got our twins for the thread and that was it)

Haven't the time to read through the thread properly but I see there are some newcomers and scans that have gone well. Brilliant news :)

ladygagoo · 16/03/2012 19:21

Wow bailey congratulations on your triplets!!! and hope you have a lovely holiday. Please make sure your parents are sitting down when you tell them :)

Glad to hear the scans went well Jess and right.

Thank god its Friday, my DP gets up before 6 every morning and I am dying for a lie-in

twizzlestix · 16/03/2012 19:24

Hi guys,

Just touching base. Haven't posted for ages as I ve been really poorly (non-pregnancy related illness) and am only just feeling well enough to look at a screen today. Will catch up with the thread but HUGE congrats to those with good scan news and hopefully there's been no sad news since I've been away but if there has then my comiserations and hugs to those effected.

rightontime · 16/03/2012 21:04

Ladygagoo My DP comes home at 6am every morning and wakes me up. Tonight he goes at gets drunk and comes home at a more reasonable 1am (give or take a couple of hours) and I can get back to sleep at that time so FC we both get a lie in tomorrow.

Whatever Thanks, those hurdles just keep on coming. Having a scan every 4 weeks might sound great but it just means for me that one scan brings a tiny bit of relief but then I have to start worrying straight away about the next one.

Twizzle Hope you feel well again soon. x

Whatevertheweather · 16/03/2012 21:21

I know rightontime same here. I'll have scans every 4 weeks from 20 weeks. Won't believe it until this baby is born screaming. Little hurdles together x

Dunnitt · 17/03/2012 09:47

leet yep headaches off and on, quite sicky migrainy ones. I am oddly happy about them when they happen as should mean hormones are acting as they should.

Baileys OMG that must have been one hell of a shock. Did you not have any idea? You are going to be huge! And you are going to have 4 under 2 yrs old. Sorry I'm not helping am i! But this is a good thing. You will have 3 gorgeous babies.

Update from me. I had dating/Nuchal scan yesterday. Was amazing. I felt more confident than my last 12wk scan which resulted in the MMC, but still there is always that element of doubt. The doc was great she knew how I would be feeling so straight away she turned the sound for the heartbeat on and it came booming out of the speakers. So that was really emotional. That was followed by 40 minutes of checks. I had no idea what they were able to look at. So detailed.

For anyone considering going private for a scan I highly recommend the Fetal Medicine Centre. I had my blood taken for the combination test at 11am then the scan at 11.30, by the end of the scan they had results so I had my Downs risk result there and then. 1 in 6000 for Tricomy 21 and 1 in 10,000 for Tricomy 13/18. So was very pleased.

After 2 years on this journey it was very hard to ever believe that I would ever get to have my very own set of scan shots. Still having to pinch myself.

ballroomblitz · 17/03/2012 11:02

Another one for regular scans from 20 weeks. So far have the 20 week one, 26 and 29wks booked. Don't know what it will be after that yet.

How lovely for you Dunnit. Congratulations on the scan and good nuchal results.

Hope you're feeling better twizzle

Think I'm definately beginning to feel something. Had my feet all tucked up last night when I was sitting on the sofa and could feel the odd movement. Have started to get pregnancy acne on my face. You know it's bad when you're using sudacrem as a night moisturiser. Has taken a lot of redness out of it though.

Not much else to say. St Paddy's over here so the majority of the population will be drunk today Envy. Bring on tomorrow when I can laugh at all the hangovers my friends have.

Hope all you mummys and mummys-to-be have a lovely day tomorrow and are spoiled.

MadMonkeys · 17/03/2012 19:26

Wow Bailey, that's wonderful! What a surprise! Good to hear so much good scan news too, especially York.

leelteloo · 17/03/2012 22:45

Thanks Dunnit, will keep the headaches in my mind as good things from now on. I just got in from my first night out being preg, and I forgot just how very boring it is to watch other people get drunk. Is it very wrong to crave cocktails??? Wink

MissCoffeeNWine · 18/03/2012 08:51

Regular scans throughout here. Although so far they always seem to be a week behind schedule. So far at 7 weeks 10 weeks and 13 weeks, next is at 17 weeks then 21. Nice to be high risk all the way through. I've been referred to the pre term birth clinic now and have a supposedly 'expert' consultant so hopefully can get some answers about this one's chances in a couple of weeks. I'll be asking to go in to the MW clinic frequiently between the 17-21 week scans for doppler and checks. Every week if I can manage it. 17+0 to 21+4 is going to be a long wait having lost DS at 17+3.

lurkingmurking · 18/03/2012 09:01

OMG baileys I would have been freaking out too!! Amazing news though!

Great to hear some more good scan news too!

Thinking of all the ladies who are high risk and going into the scary stage - small steps and we will all be with you.

Happy Mother's Day to everyone too!!

Loup23 · 18/03/2012 09:16

Congrats baileys triplets - wow!! Do you know if any of them are identical? Hope your family take the news well Grin

Happy Mothers Day to all those mummies, this time next year (everything crossed) we'll all be a Mummy! SmileSmile

Rusulka · 18/03/2012 09:17

Weird to think that this time next year I'll have a card (and maybe breakfast in bed if DH has been taking notes!).

Got my appt with the fat controller tomorrow, hope we get to hear Peanut's heartbeat as we haven't heard it yet, and I have no appt with the midwife until I'm 22 weeks. Will be asking for a 20 week scan date.

Typical NHS- a reminder letter and 3 texts for the appt tomorrow, but couldn't bother to send a scan date through. Numpties.

Kazar99 · 18/03/2012 09:18

Hello everyone and Happy Mother's Day. Hope you are all keeping well. Haven't managed to catch up on the whole thread yet.

Had my scan at 13 weeks last week. Twins are still doing well :) didn't bother with the nuchal testing though as not very reliable for more than one! As DH says, we'll take whatever we get :) Great to hear all the good news from others scans and test results. Fingers crossed for all those who are high risk.

Wow, baileys, triplets is amazing. I've had 6 weeks to get used to the idea of twins as I had been bleeding so had early scan but it's still sinking in! Babies 1&2 for me though. People tend to gasp or laugh when we tell them we're having 2.

Into maternity clothes now and have finally told work so don't need to try to hide my bump any more. It was becoming a bit of a challenge!

Ju1es22 · 18/03/2012 12:20
