Hoping to carry on the brilliant thread started by misscoffeenwine which was so popular we got to 1000 posts before starting another - come over and join me...... Promise to think of a more original name for Part 3!

OP posts:

Can we just name new thread
Part 3!! The-knicker-checking-boobs etc
That way we can all find each other?

TinkerMaloo · 14/06/2012 08:29

But maybe include Sept 2012 at the start so new people can spot it more easily?...

TinkerMaloo · 14/06/2012 09:12

ps I really cant be arsed to do anything today! Little miss toddler-from-hell was up most of last night and despite trying to replace sleep with mountains of carbs this morning I feel like poo :(

Dragging myself in the shower better help or I am a lost cause today!

Xx

MrsHelsBels74 · 14/06/2012 11:15

Is anyone else finding routine tasks difficult now? All I've done today is put 2 loads of washing on, hang 1 load on the line, yet I'm out of breath, feeling sick & my back is killing me. Sad
I'm supposed to be packing/clearing out for a move but don't know how the hell I'm going to do it.

cakeladyc · 14/06/2012 11:37

sclayton there is no gap between my bump and 36DD boobs after a meal now!
HelsBels i'm knackered after most things now, i had to sit down after making a cake at the weekend and i was only in the kitchen for 20 mins!

Just feeling really tired today, i keep waking up with awful heartburn but Rennie/Gaviscon isnt making any difference, so pretty much given up with them.
Really feel like i could do with going away for a couple of days, but where and on what money i dont know! Any ideas for a cheapish couple of nights away somewhere quiet over a weekend? We are in Sussex, so somewhere not too far north (no further than Birmingham)

Loup23 · 14/06/2012 12:11

Happy to leave thread with the same name and add Sept 2012 so everyone can find us...

I'm also feeling tired this week, been falling asleep on the train home and really struggling to stay awake in the evenings, not sure why as getting 9 hours sleep a night (apart from the regular pee break at 1 - 2am). Also struggling to remain focused at work and wishing maternity leave was here....

For those still stuck with names, this website was recommended on another thread;

www.namedtogether.co.uk

Not sure how to make it a link but if you paste the site into the internet it gives you a list of 100, 200 or 500 boys and girls names and you and your partner seperately tick the ones you like, it then gives you a list of "agreed" names - think me and DH will still struggle but going to make him do it anyway!

PS sorry to hear about DD tinker having a toddler and being pg must be exhausting!

OP posts:
MrsHelsBels74 · 14/06/2012 12:20

I can concur, having a toddler & being pregnant is exhausting, my son is 28 months old, typical boisterous little boy...& I'm wondering how on earth I'm going to cope with 2 !

TinkerMaloo · 14/06/2012 12:35

I dont do too badly really, most of the time shes quite a good girl and generally she sleeps all night through, so it could be a lot worse!

Im still not sure how its gonna work when the new bundle arrives though, breastfeeding a newborn is pretty full on (but I will not be defeated!) and so is looking after a toddler... if only I could make another me!? Hopefully her big brother will be a tad more helpful than he is at the minute and entertain her for me. Or there is always the peppa pig DVD/Cbeebies... I feel bad about being a lazy parent and letting her watch too much TV, but it didnt hurt her too much in the first few months of this pregnancy when I was beyong useless, so I'm sure it wont kill her during those crucial first few months of her baby brothers newborn phase (fingers crossed)

Xx

Thanks for that link, Loup, looks like it might be useful!

LadyLillyWilliamSnowflake · 14/06/2012 14:05

Envy at those of you who aren't even in Maternity clothes yet, I'm HUGE.

There isn't a gap between boobs and belly at the best of times Blush let alone after a meal.

10mo ds is being really clingy today and isn't happy that my bump is in the way of his cuddles. I really hope he isn't going to start teething while I'm pg, I don't think I could handle that.

I'm so unbelievably tired too, we're currently laying on the sofa, ds is snoozing and I'm trying to stay awake or I'll sleep through the doorbell when the roofer comes bastard leaky roof

LadyLillyWilliamSnowflake · 14/06/2012 14:05

We haven't decided on any names yet, but we don't know what sexes they are so we're arguing about that more than anything

pgreen · 14/06/2012 15:36

I dont know how you guys with little ones already are doing this. I've managed to pull something in my back carrying the dog - post op he can't climb/go down stairs.... Seriously you're outstanding.

Names - ohhh exciting :)

MrsHelsBels74 · 14/06/2012 15:40

I keep being asked if I'm having twins because I'm so massive...I feel like I'm the size of a house. Grin

Definitely only one in there though!

LadyLillyWilliamSnowflake · 14/06/2012 15:55

I don't know how I'm doing either, I feel like a zombie though.

My dh keeps saying that he's going to have to widen the doors Angry Blush, but to be fair to him, I really am massive and uncomfortable

Mikyahrose · 14/06/2012 16:09

I havent been feeling too bad so far. But last night i was shattered. Had a bad back in beed too. :(

And, just missed the last step and ended up in a heap on the floor - laptop and ipad went flying (i was taking them into the other room)

Think bump is ok though, i didnt fall far or into anything. Really twites my ankle though, been sat with it up for an hour - just looked at it and its fat already. Hmpf!

WhereAreMyShoes · 14/06/2012 16:20

I haven't a clue how I've got this far with a 22mo DS.
Luckily DP is a SAHD and is a really good dad, so when I fall through the door and throw chips in the oven they entertain each other.
I'm v uncomfortable atm. SPD is a killer and ruining my sleep. Also, I've clambered aboard the bunged up wagon, which is nice. On top of the thrush, sciatica, slight anemia etc!
Working from home one day a week helps though. especially when I can fall asleep in the spare room at 11am for an hour

I was rubbish with baby names last time and DS wasn't named for 3 days. Even then, DP chose it!
I'll try that website upthread and see if we can match some names between us.
If not, looks like she'll be 'little girl' for a while after she's born!

Oh, and I'm the size of a blimp. Nothing fits, even my fat maternity stuff and I'm for once in my life enjoying rainy days in June. After all, at least now I can blame the weather for my shockingly rubbish hair!! :o

WhereAreMyShoes · 14/06/2012 16:25

Oh no, hope you're alright mikyahrose
I fell the last couple of steps a few weeks ago. DS just laughed but my god did it hurt.
My ankle was sore for ages but I didn't do any injuries to my bump. They're so well padded in there I'm sure your baby is fine. x

meXem · 14/06/2012 16:41

Hi all, I only joined Mumsnet yesterday, so a COMPLETE beginner Blush
I am due mid september with my 1st and do not know anyone who is pregnant and have no idea what to expect!!? I have worked with children for 12 years but never any under the age of 1!! So feeling very lost and just wanted to chat with people who are in a similar boat!!

Mikyahrose · 14/06/2012 16:49

Thanks wherearemyshoes I'm sure bump is fine - i can feel him kicking and wriggling about in there, so not too worried. Not happy with the throbbing fat ankle though.

Hi meXem Welcome. :)

shellybop · 14/06/2012 17:01

I hope you are alright mikyahrose. I keep feeling like i'm going to fall down the stairs one day - i'm so clumsy at the moment.

I'm in the feeling huge camp, and like you mrshels people keep joking about twins (i know there is only 1!) but this morning my midwife said i was bang on the right size, which is reassuring.

shoeprincess2 · 14/06/2012 17:17

Ladies! Hope you are all well. I hope you will join me in a collective whinge about people commenting on the size of our bumps! I'm feeling a bit blue today, as it's my 36th birthday and I feel like c* and look even worse. I put on a nice top today and met some friends for a brew. As I approached our meeting point, my friend shouted "Oh my goodness. Look at the size of you." I said "My bump's not that big". She said "IT IS". Needless to say, i am now at home (even a Clinique counter makeover did little to cheer me up- just made me feel even more frump like) and am eyeing up the box of chocs on the side. Does anyone else just feel like hibernating until the baby is born. I feel like I am some sort of exhibit and i don't like it.

meXem · 14/06/2012 17:31

Happy Birthday shoeprincess2 Thanks
I would LOVE to hibernate! I'm fed up of people who know I'm pregnant telling me I'm huge, yet if I tell people who don't know that I'm pregnant they don't believe me and tell me there must be something wrong as I'm so small! I wld prefer no comment whatsoever!

shoeprincess2 · 14/06/2012 17:35

Thank you meXem- agree totally. I think people say something for the sake of saying it. I would rather no comment as well. I am feeling quite sensitive as it is, so it doesn't help. Then once you have the baby, you are scrutinised for losing the baby weight. Aaaaaarghhhhh. Anyone have a desert island going spare? Just for a bit Smile
