MissCoffee I'm with you on the whole pink/blue thing.
I pretty much don't want to tell anyone I don't know very well the sex since I know they'll buy something pink and I'll bloody hate it... but what can you do though?
I've been everywhere looking for a reasonably priced hooded baby towel that isn't pink or blue- nothing. Going to give up and just buy brightly coloured hand towels from Asda for £3- my mum said she never had a hooded towel for me, and it wasn't really important, so I'm trying to be sensible!
I'm aware I've bought some things which are probably ridiculous, and anyone my parents' age is quietly laughing at me for getting gimmicky things, but oh well. I've tried to restrict it to a minimum!
I am 22 weeks today (or 23 if you believe the NHS) and I've been feeling Peanut move for about 2 weeks or so (coincidentally when MiL left, hmm). My placenta is anterior, so assume either it's moved up, since I'm feeling the kicks in my lower front, or that Peanut kicks like a mule!
EllieMay I find that I feel Peanut first thing in the morning- kicks in the bladder- for a little bit, but mostly I feel them in the evening, and when I go to bed. I think I read somewhere that at this stage they're on a 12-14 hour sleep cycle, so maybe they only wake up occasionally, and if you're moving around, I guess you're less likely to feel it. I get a few movements after eating something, especially if it's been sweet, or I guess strongly flavoured, like salt and vinegar crisps- but like I said, mainly the evenings, which is a shame as SiL was hoping to feel her move, but it was only late afternoon! DH feels her move at night, but only if it's a strong kick, which to be honest feel more like headbutts, lol!
The ladies who leak (or can squirt)- can you tell me if you're on first babies please, or whether you're on #2 or more? Want to know when I can gross DH out by squirting him in the face!
