Hello ladies! I can't wait to see how many No Brooking babies arrive during the course of this thread!! Do you realise we have now filled SEVEN threads (and that's just the graduates!) That's 7000 posts and counting!

Let's all get settled in for some serious No Brooking, we have a lot of painless sneeze births to get through over the next couple of weeks!

My-a.

posting from dh's phone and reception bit slow, so writing little but often in case i lose post.

Once we got started cs incredibly fast. Went in at 12, bean out at 12.23, back in recovery at about 12.40. I had skin to skin in theatre after all, and maia fed a little at 2. She's had a few goes but falls asleep v quickly.

Think will be getting more codeine soon- v little pain, just slight soreness towards right hip.

TheLittleFriend · 09/03/2012 22:08

Congratulations too, I'm so happy for you. Welcome to the world little Maia xxx

hawthers · 09/03/2012 22:08

Congrats too lovely name as well. Hope it was as lovely experience as it could be for you.

Don't be shy about asking for more pain relief in fact make sure you get it before it becomes painful. Oh and one side of my cs hurt a little more than the other. Good luck for your first night with maia - am sure she is mesmerisingly beautiful.

ScreamIfYouWantToGoFaster · 09/03/2012 22:09

Sounds super fast Too, this must be how a sneeze-cs works!

So after the spinal wore off you just move straight to codeine and that's sufficient for no pain? That sounds really good, I thought there might be a morphine stage in the middle and I've heard interesting things about morphine!

Glad you're pain free and snuggled up with a beautiful little lady!

PurpleWithaBlueBun · 09/03/2012 22:26

Too try rubbing Maia's feet to help her feed, but she is bound to be a sleepy little girl atm. So pleased you have no pain and glad your SneezeSection went so well :)

musicalmrs · 09/03/2012 22:40

Congratulations Too! Beautiful name! :) Hope you're enjoying your newborn snuggles :)

Pleased you're in very little pain too - as hawthers says, don't be afraid to ask for more drugs if you need them! Enjoy your first night with your beautiful LO :)

(I am so weepy with all these brookers with babies having all these lovely baby snuggles. I am incredibly happy for you all, but also incredibly jealous - can't wait until it's my turn!)

Wants3 · 09/03/2012 23:12

Same here musical I just want my snuggles but know he is not cooked just yet! are we going to be due in the same week?Congratulations too lovely name and lovely weight! It sounds like you had a positive no brooking birth.
Maybe we will be able to predict the flavour of the ubbs as there seems to be a nice boy girl pattern going so far!
We have friends over for the day tomorrow so I will try and peep in when I can to hear newborn news and see how you are doing purple

jaggythistle · 10/03/2012 05:02

congratulations too!

my phone was struggling and i had to go to bed not knowing about baby Maia, glad to hear she's snuggled in happily. :)

DS was v sleepy the first night after the cs, but i think awake all the second night!

biscuits if you post about DS and his big brother I'll be greeting for sure. for some reason the one thing that makes me super emotional is thinking about my DS with his wee brother/sister. when i read a thread about dc meeting their new siblings i was a blubbering mess Blush

cakes82 · 10/03/2012 06:39

Congratulations Biscuit and Too, lovely names :)

Wishing for the arrival of my LO and I got months until its cooked! (I don't have much patience lol)

Biscuitsandtea · 10/03/2012 07:11

Wowsers - sorry I couldn't post yesterday but once we got in, I just needed to get into bed!

So I read about Too's fantastic fantastic news but had no time to post.

I am so so so pleased to read that news - I can't even really describe it! And such a beautiful beautiful name!

Congratulations to both Too and Mr Too SmileThanks

Jaggy - I absolutely won't mention then that DS1 was just amazing meeting his little brother yesterday Smile. He was super gentle, and just so adorable - and we were hanging around at the hospital for about 3 hours and he was still really good. SmileSmile

We'll see how today goes when he realised he's here to stay Grin

jaggythistle · 10/03/2012 07:38
Grin

thanks biscuits!

oh well, babyjaggy2 could be only 7 weeks away, doesn't sound very long now.. due date from dating scan is 25th April, i noticed the stats thread has 1st may which is what FF told me.

struggling to convince DH that maybe we should get something ready...

right, where's purple for her scheduled sneeze? :)

Biscuitsandtea · 10/03/2012 07:55

Oooh, I've just found another page of posts BlushSmile

purple - I got to 37+2 this time.

I am brooking that things are starting to kick off for you now for your scheduled weekend birth Smile. Fingers crossed everything goes smoothly when your time comes. Certainly all these contractions sound a bit hopeful Smile

Can't remember if I've forgotten to answer any other questions - feel free to ask them again if I have! ConfusedBlush

NinjaChipmunk · 10/03/2012 08:06

Congratulations too and family and a big welcome to little maia. How lovely.
purple how are you this morning. Good luck for a super successful sweep and another sneeze birth.
biscuits glad you're all settling in back home.

justmatureenough2bdad · 10/03/2012 08:20

biscuits .... are you my colleagues sister? :)

GenericDietCola · 10/03/2012 08:32

Oh Too! Wonderful news! I was thinking of you all day yesterday. I love Maia's name too.

NoMaybeAboutIt · 10/03/2012 08:48

Oh Too congratulations, such a beautiful name for your new baby girl. Hope you are feeling as rested as possible today.

Biscuits hope you have a lovely first proper day at home as a family Smile

DreamingOfPeace · 10/03/2012 09:01

Morning all, particularly those with newborns! Hello to the lovely Abbie, Ethan and Maia- babies, this is day, the time you practice being awake, as opposed to night, the time you practice being asleep. Just thought I'd fill you in :-)

DreamingOfPeace · 10/03/2012 09:29

Err, and baby Farley of course :-)

jenfraggle · 10/03/2012 09:51

Congratulations Too. Glad it was just a misunderstanding and not a problem that led to the late update, we were getting a bit worried clearly forgetting the power of no brooking

DH is lighting the fire today so will not be leaving the house ready for Purple to complete this week's hat-trick.

musicalmrs · 10/03/2012 09:56

Such lovely names for all the brooking babies so far (though no Brook/Brooke's yet - hmm!). I hope all the babies - and particularly the newest two editions, Maia and Ethan - had a good night :)

When will the brooking postnatal thread be starting up then, now there's four of you?

Purple, brooking like mad that you get your weekend sneeze birth!

A lovely quiet weekend - got some shopping to do this morning, but I'll mainly be writing music, preparing transfer documents for when I go on maternity leave, and resting!

Also going to be working on the names shortlist this weekend, after being inspired by all the lovely baby names.. :)

pommedechocolat · 10/03/2012 10:25

dream - Abbie hasnt had that memo yet! Dd1 is also getting up at 5.30. We don't do sleep round here anymore (apart from dh who sleeps in the downstairs spare room and is currently having a 'nap' the bastard).

Hope Ethan and Maia are behaving themselves better than my naughty rascals!

purple - good luck with the sweep fingers crossed!

hawthers · 10/03/2012 10:39

dream thought you'd forgotten us!

I'll be sending farley round to explain the deal to the the other brooking babies. He's got the hand of day/night and even went to bed at 8 last night so I actually had an evening but let's ignore the fact that I had to wake him to feed every 3 hours and I got 6 hours sleep in three slots

DreamingOfPeace · 10/03/2012 11:21

Only momentary memory lapse hawthers, sorry... I'm having a bad morning with lots of BH and aches and a return of morning sickness... I really thought I'd done with being sick this pg, clearly not...

ScreamIfYouWantToGoFaster · 10/03/2012 13:44

Morning Afternoon to all the No Brooking babies, mamas and preggos! I have the migraine from HELL today so this will be a super brief post!

Just wanted to check everyone's okay, esp all four babies, recent mamas, and Purple!

Also Dream is there any chance the ramping up of symptoms is a sign of imminent arrival? Obv we're No Brooking for a full ride right through to your cs date, but 34 weeks is still excellent baking time for twins. Plus they are both good weights. Hope you're taking it easy and looking after yourself!

scarletfingernail · 10/03/2012 15:06

justmature are you Too's DH?

I hope all's going well with our newborn brookers?

Was just wondering if there was any news from Purple after her sweep?
