Hello ladies! I can't wait to see how many No Brooking babies arrive during the course of this thread!! Do you realise we have now filled SEVEN threads (and that's just the graduates!) That's 7000 posts and counting!

Let's all get settled in for some serious No Brooking, we have a lot of painless sneeze births to get through over the next couple of weeks!

Shucks Too, I hope they don't keep us you waiting too much longer.

I couldn't sleep at all last night, I was thinking about Biscuits and wondering how things were going. If I'd bothered checking one last time before I went to bed I'd have known! I still can't believe it happened that quickly!

I'm now coming down with DS's virus and have had to take paracetamol for the first time this pregnancy. I'm feel rotten, I have a terrible chesty cough which hurts my bump every time, I'm full of cold and my head is so foggy. DS is still at home so I'm looking after him too. We're both still in PJs watching Toy Story 2 for the zillionth time. Thank goodness we have a workman free day or I think I would have cried.

scarletfingernail · 09/03/2012 12:07

Oooh musical it was me with the boiler beef. I suppose 2010 is ok if it was late 2010, but personally if I had 2 kids sleeping in the same room as it I'd be very careful to make sure it was every 12 months and no longer.

Brooking for a sneeze birth for Purple for after midnight tonight. I also have a RL friend due today so I'm on pins waiting for news.

Imps7 · 09/03/2012 12:29

Too could be in there right now!!

Biscuitsandtea · 09/03/2012 13:18

Hope so Imps - I'm brooking like a good'un!!

musicalmrs · 09/03/2012 13:46

Joining in the brooking for Too!

Scarlet, I can understand it taking a bit longer to getting round to servicing a boiler if it's up in the roof or wherever. But when it's in your children's bedroom?!

Needless to say, we'll be getting it checked over - and as soon as we get a new eco one installed (something we've budgeted for, knowing it was old - thinking it was older than 03 though!), it'll be re positioned to somewhere more sensible...

DreamingOfPeace · 09/03/2012 14:05

Ooo I've not had a tracker since I was in primary school :o

Imps7 · 09/03/2012 14:47

I love Trackers - I was reintroduced to them a couple of years ago and they are my snack of choice these days. I do love the combination of peanut and chocolate - I must try Nigella's chocolate and peanut cheesecake one day - it looks immense.

To unsuccessfully distract me while waiting for Too to update us when she finally gets tired of newborn snuggles I've been looking at nappies. I will use disposables first of all while I'm learning how you change a baby for ease but then want to move to reusables. I know it's been discussed before but I'm too lazy to look back what do you suggest?

Wonder if I can get away with any more strikethrough

DreamingOfPeace · 09/03/2012 15:26

Pampers Jen :-) almost everyone I know using reusables started on disposables, said reusable leaked with tiny tiny babies (is it you with family history of all bigger babies though? Vague memory of you mentioning an 11lber!!)

You can eat peanuts when pg I think, only with family history of allergy they're best avoided...or am I wrong?!

jenfraggle · 09/03/2012 15:30

Yes, there have been some biggies in my family. I was thinking that Spud will probably grow out of the newborn sizes quickly so not worth spending money on reusables for then but wait until the next size up. There are just so many resuables out there, it was much easier in our parents' day in a way as it was terry squares only really so no difficult decisions to make, just need to learn how to fold.

PopcornMouseInBoots · 09/03/2012 15:34

Imps Marian Keyes has an amazing-looking snickers cheesecake too - I neeeed to try the recipe!

I think that's right dream (according to the NHS website anyway)

Wants3 · 09/03/2012 15:56

Jen I am also using reusables ( g- nappies) but am planning on using disposables until meconium has passed through as it stains. I have a free pack of huggies ( bounty) half price pack of pampers ( boots) and I received my pampers welcome pack today(6 nappies and a pack of wipes) so I have plenty to see me through the early days! I managed to acquire several different samples of nappy makes and decided that g- nappies were the best system for us. Think about the space you will have to dry and store them. All in ones are easier to use but take longer to dry so you will probably end up buying more to keep up with demand. I am also using reusable wipes. I bought the kit but you can make your own.

jenfraggle · 09/03/2012 16:06

Wants I got my pampers welcome pack today too :)

Musical thanks for the heads up on the real nappy week, I hadn't heard about that. I've looked into the council but ours don't do anything :(

PopcornMouseInBoots · 09/03/2012 16:07

I know nothing about nappies, reusable or otherwise (so excuse my ignorance Blush ) - what does one do about them stinking hanging around til you have a full load, iyswim? Or do you handwash each one as you use it? I googled g-nappies but their website wasn't very informative about how you actually use them iyswim Blush

ScreamIfYouWantToGoFaster · 09/03/2012 16:23

Hope Too's okay. I can't take the suspense!!!
