Dream, your boys are almost exactly the same sizes as my sister and I were at birth (at 35 weeks). I was 4lb 6 and Dsis was 4lb 12. It's getting so close for you now! Brooking hard that there is nothing wrong with your placenta and it's just natural variance between the twins coming into play. And getting to 34 weeks is brilliant too. When is the ELCS booked for again? How many weeks will you be then?
Scream, Consultant B sounds like such a lovely man! Hope Tuesday goes really well for you, my lovely. Have you seen this? It's all about how you persuade HCPs to give you an ELCS. Different reasons cited, but similar approaches. How exciting that your nursery is all ready now! DH has been sorting ours out (again), so the Moses basket is now in our room and the pram is folded up in the porch and the car seat is fitted, yay!
My official appt time is 7.45am, but the earliest I'd be in the theatre is about 9.30. They get me settled into either a room or a ward, depending on availability, the anaesthetist comes up to talk me through the spinal, I get changed into my hospital gown, DH gets changed into his scrubs and we're all set! FX for no emergencies slowing things down. DH will be trying to smuggle his phone in so we can call people from the recovery room, and we can update MN from there too! Assuming he gets signal, that is.
Looking forward to the Haribo, Pomme! Hope little Abbie is doing really well.
Fishcake, I will be doing my own pre-CS shaving, or rather DH will be doing it for me because I can't see what I'm up to. Much less embarrassing than the MW doing it tomorrow! Also, I get rashes from waxing or shaving really easily, so I'd rather know that the razor has a new blade and that plenty of foam is being used. The MW said either waxing or shaving was fine and to take off about 1.5 cm, mainly so that the adhesive dressing doesn't stick to the hairs and hurt when it's pulled off.
I have packed now - it feels really weird to pack a suitcase with only nighties, pyjamas and cardigans, no day clothes (or only one set for going home in). Big pants, check; nursing bras, check...Bean's little clothes are so cute!
