Hello ladies! I can't wait to see how many No Brooking babies arrive during the course of this thread!! Do you realise we have now filled SEVEN threads (and that's just the graduates!) That's 7000 posts and counting!

Let's all get settled in for some serious No Brooking, we have a lot of painless sneeze births to get through over the next couple of weeks!

Dream, your boys are almost exactly the same sizes as my sister and I were at birth (at 35 weeks). I was 4lb 6 and Dsis was 4lb 12. It's getting so close for you now! Brooking hard that there is nothing wrong with your placenta and it's just natural variance between the twins coming into play. And getting to 34 weeks is brilliant too. When is the ELCS booked for again? How many weeks will you be then?

Scream, Consultant B sounds like such a lovely man! Hope Tuesday goes really well for you, my lovely. Have you seen this? It's all about how you persuade HCPs to give you an ELCS. Different reasons cited, but similar approaches. How exciting that your nursery is all ready now! DH has been sorting ours out (again), so the Moses basket is now in our room and the pram is folded up in the porch and the car seat is fitted, yay!

My official appt time is 7.45am, but the earliest I'd be in the theatre is about 9.30. They get me settled into either a room or a ward, depending on availability, the anaesthetist comes up to talk me through the spinal, I get changed into my hospital gown, DH gets changed into his scrubs and we're all set! FX for no emergencies slowing things down. DH will be trying to smuggle his phone in so we can call people from the recovery room, and we can update MN from there too! Assuming he gets signal, that is.

Looking forward to the Haribo, Pomme! Hope little Abbie is doing really well.

Fishcake, I will be doing my own pre-CS shaving, or rather DH will be doing it for me because I can't see what I'm up to. Much less embarrassing than the MW doing it tomorrow! Also, I get rashes from waxing or shaving really easily, so I'd rather know that the razor has a new blade and that plenty of foam is being used. The MW said either waxing or shaving was fine and to take off about 1.5 cm, mainly so that the adhesive dressing doesn't stick to the hairs and hurt when it's pulled off. Blush

I have packed now - it feels really weird to pack a suitcase with only nighties, pyjamas and cardigans, no day clothes (or only one set for going home in). Big pants, check; nursing bras, check...Bean's little clothes are so cute!

OMG, Biscuits! Really? Shock [excitement] Grin What are you doing now? The first spontaneous labour on this thread! Hey, you might beat me to the tape!

ScreamIfYouWantToGoFaster · 08/03/2012 18:15

OMG!!! Biscuits!!

Biscuitsandtea · 08/03/2012 18:16

Erm, what am I doing now?

I'm currently stuck on the loo because I leak every time I get up!!!

Waiting for DH to get home. Poor DS is eating his tea and keeps wandering in a bit Confused

And why didn't my Shock work?

I have to go into the labour ward about 7:30pm as we won't get there in time for the PAU which shuts at 7 by the time the in-laws get here to look after DS

Ermmmmm.........

Any contractions? Is this how things started with DS? Good luck, the sneeze birth with no tearing whatsoever will shortly be coming your way!

jenfraggle · 08/03/2012 18:18

I can't give you any useful advice but you used a capital letter which is why it didn't work.

Can your DS get something for you? Keep him busy and something for you to concentrate on

musicalmrs · 08/03/2012 18:21

Biscuits! WOW! How exciting!

Scream - while I'm here - hurrah for consultant C! So so pleased that someone's finally taking you seriously :)

jaggy, I'm beginning to get a slightly sore fanjo at times too Blush. I've done Scream's suggestion of using a cold gel pack (also to the accompaniment of much laughter! Isn't pregnancy so glamorous...!)

Too, hope you're feeling much better now. I've got a boring ish day of work tomorrow, so I'll be checking in to hear all your news...! How exciting :)

And Biscuits 's news of course! Here's hoping for a quick sneeze birth! :)

DreamingOfPeace · 08/03/2012 18:26

Wow biscuits!!!!! Bet your contractions start in the next few hours, you could beat too to it, in fact my money's on you Grin (I read a thread about second labours and SO many people have a much faster one!)

Ranitidine rocks too, completely gets rid of my heartburn Grin. Hope it's a lovely birth for you tomorrow.

Quick flap (if there's time and I may?!) been told to go in immediately for any reduced foetal movements, esp t2. errrr... so hard to tell who's who, all limbs central today...

Imps7 · 08/03/2012 18:29

OMG OMG OMG

But I'm about to go to netball!!!

HOLD ON BISCUITS!! CROSS YOUR LEGS OR PUT SOME TIGHTS ON OR SOMETHING!!!

Imps7 · 08/03/2012 18:29

(Oh, and good luck too)

scarletfingernail · 08/03/2012 18:32

Biscuits! My love, how exciting!

If I'd not just got out the shower I could have rushed over to keep an eye on DS for you, but I don't think I'll make it before 7.30.

I'm so excited for you Grin

musicalmrs · 08/03/2012 18:35

Dream, do you mean you're experiencing reduced movements, or you've been told to go in immediately if you get any?

Imps, I love that your first reaction is similar to mine Grin. I thought "Nooo, I have rehearsals starting soon that last all evening!". Of course, that thinking is purely because it will be a sneeze birth :)

Biscuitsandtea · 08/03/2012 18:36

Sadly can't really get DS to get stuff to sort me out and allow me to get off the loo as everything is packed in the hossie bag - think it would be a step too confusing!

Oooh, I think I hear dh's car

Bet he wants to make sandwiches as a first priority HmmGrin

ScreamIfYouWantToGoFaster · 08/03/2012 18:41

Thanks for the link Too. You're so close so close so close!!

Biscuits it's the full moon just like someone (Purple?) predicted! This is going to be so straightforward for you, we are Brooking No Argument on that! Any contractions yet?

OP posts:
Biscuitsandtea · 08/03/2012 18:52

Yes on the contractions - seem to be every 3/4 mins - eeeeek

scarletfingernail · 08/03/2012 18:53

Is your DH home yet Biscuits?

Biscuitsandtea · 08/03/2012 18:56

Yep - so i am clothed and off the loo GrinGrin

And the in-laws are here Smile

Will be off to the hospital soon

Where I will have no phone reception - sorry Sad

TooImmatureTurtleDoves · 08/03/2012 18:59

Cx every 3/4 mins! Definitely 2 hrs from waters to baby! How intense are they? Hope DH is home and rescuing you from the toilet.

Dream, FX for lots of movement on different sides of your tummy tonight.

scarletfingernail · 08/03/2012 19:01

Try not to keep us waiting too long for an update Wink

Hope it all goes well for you, goes without saying that I'm brooking for a nice easy birth whatever you end up deciding re ELCS vs VB.

TooImmatureTurtleDoves · 08/03/2012 19:01

No phone reception! How inconsiderate of the hospital.

scarletfingernail · 08/03/2012 19:03

What time are you going in tomorrow Too?

Aaaaghhh I've got so much to do here and now I just know I'm going to be glued to the laptop waiting for news from Too and Biscuits

jenfraggle · 08/03/2012 19:03

while muttering about how inconsiderate she is giving birth in a hospital with no reception

ScreamIfYouWantToGoFaster · 08/03/2012 19:05

Eeeek Biscuits! Good luck hun!!!! Your UBB will be here even before Bean, I can't believe it!! (Surely you can get your ILs to just nip onto MN and update us when you call them after the birth? Hee hee (only kidding of course!))

Also thinking of Dream, I hope twin 2 moves into a more easily identifiable position and keeps up regular (but gentle!) movements!

Too hope you get a good night's sleep (despite how exciting this thread is!)

Also has anyone seen Purple since this morning? It is full moon time...
