bunnygirl, make sure and enjoy the next few weeks while you feel well and before you get too big, they really are the best part of the pregnancy!

trix, not sure exactly where kilkerrin is but i've heard of it, this whole part of the country is beautiful though, mothers family is from mayo which is why i moved to the west

trix1 · 07/02/2006 14:58

Ive just posted on the irland thread your on Eve.

trix1 · 07/02/2006 14:59

oops typo error Ireland

kitegirl · 07/02/2006 16:55

lovely that we still have people joining our August club! Welcome Eve and Bunny,

I've got my shortlist of names already but dh keeps vetoing my favourite in all its variations has anyone else decided on their baby's name yet?

trix1 · 07/02/2006 17:01

No not yet, tbh its so hard to decide i keep putting it off.

Arabica · 07/02/2006 18:31

hi Eve, hi Bunny! Congratulations. I don't think it matters re August b'days. I was a Sept birthday, but was put up a year so I was actually a whole year younger than some classmates, I coped OK. Think I would have hated school just as much if I had been a year lower tbh.
When you are pg people feel compelled to give all sorts of 'helpful' advice and offercompletely unsolicitedtales of births from hell, late-stage m/cs, sleep deprivation etc. Just shut up, already!

Arabica · 07/02/2006 18:32

Cheeps! Congratulations on your scan. Enjoy every moment from now on.

lunavix · 07/02/2006 20:38

Hi to everyone joining, it's great there's so many of us

My 12 week scan is tomorrow, I'm so paranoid that something will be wrong... but I'm still so sick, haven't actually eaten for 2 days (as in anything) and have been throwing up water It wasn't this much of a chore with ds!

I've been thinking about names.... the end result of a baby is what's keeping me going! I like kimberley, kaitlyn, amberley, and grace for a girl... connor, jack, daniel or zack for a boy...

Nbg · 07/02/2006 20:55

Crikey!
You go away for a day and look what happens, all these posts

Glad to see you've found us Bunnygirl and welcome to you too Eve!

I wonder if we have the biggest ante-natal club yet?

Arabica, thanks for the tip with the frozen peas. Will give it a go.
The pain is alot worse when I've been on my feet for a certain amount of time and I've noticed it more today. I spent 3 hours at the hairdressers which was bliss but when I got home I had a load of stuff to do and when I just stood, the pain shot straight through.
I'll hang on for a referal to the physio as it was really good in my last pg.

This burst of energy your all talking about, didn't any of you 2nd timers remember that point where you didn't feel tired anymore?
Not exactly a burst of energy but I certainly remember feeling less crap, lol!

Don't think I'm going to be able to get on much this week so good luck to everyone with the scans. Great to hear everyone elses is good.

Take it easy!

P.S Kitegirl
I'm sticking to my guns for names wether dh likes it or not
so
Celeste (thats all I have for girls atm)

Hi everyone

Just had scan today, thought they were going to tell me i was mad and that there was no baby there. (doesn't fell real) this time. Everything is fine and only one baby. EDD 30 Aug.

snic · 07/02/2006 21:52

i dont remember exactley when i started feeling more energetic with dd, somewhere between 12-18 weeks i think. i know i really enjoyed being pregnant after i had got over the first three months. guess thats why im doing it again so soon. as for names if a boy probably jack if a girl leah.

Arabica · 07/02/2006 23:41

Welcome micromum!
I can't think of any names I like but as I might have mentioned earlier in this thread, DS has already named the baby Eilis (pronounced Eye-leash) as he has a little friend with the same name. He also likes Pinga (Pingu's little sister). If it's a boy, it's Noah. I don't think I get a say in it and DH definitely doesn't. Expect large argument with small boy in approx 5 and a half months!

kitegirl · 08/02/2006 07:08

Arabica!

there's so many of us now, how cool!

I like Lucas, Felix, Elias, Aaron or Linus for this boy that was going to be a girl - dh hates Lucas because it reminds him of some tosser he went to school with. Boys' names are harder to come up with I think.

yep, still no burst of energy (13+4), didn't feel all that energetic at 6.15am and still don't....

olivo · 08/02/2006 10:01

Morning! welcome eve and micro!
good news on your scan cheeps! mine is on friday, really nervous about it, especially after this coldy thing, am worried I've hurt him or her with all the sneezing, coughing and nose-blowing!
good luck for yours luna- let us know!

still feeling awful, ended up phoning the doctors last night as my temp went up but low dose of paracetamol seems to have brought it back to normal - still off work though!

olivo · 08/02/2006 10:03

Arabica, i think pinga is a cool name!! we've already agreed on a girl's name but boys are proving harder - my opinion fluctuates according to whether I have had a good day at school!! I never really believed it but you cant help but associate names with pupils!!

Arabica · 08/02/2006 10:10

Let me try out a girl's name on you, which I really like but would have to anglicise. It's 'Esja'. If you saw that written down how would you pronounce it?

olivo · 08/02/2006 10:18

ez-ee-ya?

trix1 · 08/02/2006 12:57

e-j-a

its so hard choosing names

CHEEPS · 08/02/2006 16:33

I like Teddy or Harry for a boy and Gracie, lyla, Lola, Poppy or Honey for a girl!

Db doesnt like any! hehe :O

micromum · 08/02/2006 16:44

I like Ellen for a girl but cant decide for a boy, I never stick to the names i pick when preg. When baby comes they never look like name i have choosen and have to start the whole process again.

pucca · 08/02/2006 19:16

Hi everyone

Hope everyone is ok?

Has anyone got their free health service card through yet? i need to go the dentist and have forgotten when i got it through last time.

katylou25 · 08/02/2006 19:18

had scan yeaterday and everything fine. New due date of 20th August. Have passed the 12 week mark yeah!

Arabica · 08/02/2006 20:08

Hi,I got my maternity card within about 4 weeks of filling in the form, but last time my dentist said even if I didn't have the form through yet, they believed me!
Esja is supposed to be pronounced something like 'air-shar' so maybe a boy would be less complicated!
Well done on the scan!

Arabica · 08/02/2006 20:09

Cheeps, I like Iyla, I've never heard that one before--is it pronounced like Isla?
