Was a rough time but thankfully i'm stronger and the hosp have been amazing. Truly wonderful. Really can't thank them enough!
And went out to buy dh birthday pressie, ended up with a little romper suit for baby. Feel really positive.
Ohhh just got a kick!!!!! Think he likes dairy milk choccie bars.....Smile

kitegirl · 07/03/2006 20:05

have just been to an ann summers party what a revelation as it was a sober one must say nice underwear my also pg friend whose three weeks ahead of me but shes due in july every1 fussed round us it was quite nice actually
must say ive got to ask again is any1 experiencing leaky boobs yet Blush or is it coz mine are huge any way

Arabica · 07/03/2006 23:08

No leaky boobs here (and am also huge). Last time it didn't happen until about wk 36--I was horrified and thought something was wrong with them!!
Boopert, a little boy--that's great. I won't be finding out the sex, I like the idea of a surprise. I'm sure it's a girl though. Mind you, I thought that last time; a girl with dark hair and brown eyes, just like me. Got blond boy wuth blue eyes, not at all like me!

preparingfor2 · 07/03/2006 23:32

My boobs haven't changed a bit yet (apart from tenderness etc) and they're going to have to provide for two! Bit worried they've seen the challenge ahead and given up aleady.

Congrats on your kicking boy Boopert, that's lovely news.

I've missed heaps of all your news since I last said hello - sorry!

I've got my 20 week scan next week and I'm going to try not to find out the sexes, as we would like a surprise (not my usual practical self - but then I figure you can't un-find-out).

Gotta love huge pants I reckon (says she clinging onto the last remaining comforts). All my work clothes are already unbearable (and unwearable!) so the next few months are going to be murder. Does anyone know of somewhere you can buy maternity wear in larger sizes (ie. 24-ish)?

Nbg · 08/03/2006 09:16

Hi all
PF2, Have you tried ebay for mat clothes? Could be worth a look. Not sure about Evans, do they do Maternity?

Am shocked to hear about leaking boobs already Shock I got that much later last time and hated it becuse I had to wear those scratchy pad things in my bra! Is it happening all day and is there much? Sorry if I'm being too nosey!

I have my physio this afternoon so that should be interesting!

Micku5 · 08/03/2006 09:27

Morning all.... how is everyone? I am still waiting for an antenatal appt at the hospital @16 weeks (for the bloods and other tests) but I don't think the midwife has even passed on the details to them.. so I will be having a word with her later.

So far I am still in my ordinary clothes ie jeans, trousers and skirts... but my breasts are huge, got measured on Saturday and they are now 36F, so I am wearing more maternity tops. (Hubby is pleased with the increased size... but that's not a surprise Smile

eve2005 · 08/03/2006 10:21

morning all.

avoiding the leaky boobs so far although they're threatening! was still bf at start of preg so feel like mine have never really emptied properly, never got the engorged boobs your supposed to get when you finish and feel like they're lying in wait! that probably doesn't make an ounce of sense to anyone does it Blush used to drown dp in bed from bout 25 weeks last time and things only got worse when dd came out, quite often soaked through the breastpads in the space of 5 mins, very embarressing when in the middle of dunnes doing the shopping!

trix1 · 08/03/2006 10:57

good Morning all, are you still waiting for your scan eve?

Im having a day doing house work today, ive been off work for weeks because of bad haeadaches due to taking progesterone but I have stopped taking them now and am due back at work on Monday :(

17 weeks today, ive not been getting much movement so I phoned the midwife for an appt this morning and she siad to pop in and see her this afternoon, she is at the doctors surgery on a Wed afternoon so at least I get some reassurance. Please God.

I never had leaky boobs at all in my last pregnancy but I did have sciatica and thats enough for any pregnant women to deal with. The 20 week scans should be starting soon for this thread, mines not til im 21 weeks though.

hope you are all well and looking after yourselves.

eve2005 · 08/03/2006 11:03

yeah, it's been moved forward a whole nine days to the 20th! still don't get my booking in til the 29th though. grrr!

jayjaybaby · 08/03/2006 11:42

im only leaking abit apparently it happened quite early to my mum and aunt and its normal acc to the bounty book so not too worried tho my dh has freaked abit bless got my mw appt tomorrow first one for seven weeks so quite excited but it means more blood being taken and dh is petrified of needles so will be on my own for that

eve2005 · 08/03/2006 11:53

morning jay jay. if your dh is panicing now how is he going to cope with everything thats coming?! bless him, he's in for a shock!

Smile my baby's 'purring' at the minute does anyone else get that? a kind of vibrating rumble? my dd did it as well, quite often in response to the cat purring on my bump but i never figured out what caused it, this fella does it even more often, very cute!

SaraLee · 08/03/2006 12:02

(A.K.A Boopert...)
Got leaky boobs, got sciatica, got no clothes that fit.....Tried to make a trouser extendery thing with some buttons and stringy stuff.

Worked till baby moved round and made me slimmer!

lunavix · 08/03/2006 13:27

Hi everyone, phoned MW and fake sobbed down the phone to try and get an earlier scan (they've booked me in for 23/24 weeks grr) don't know if it's worked yet.

Heard the heartbeat yesterday for the first time.. I'd forgotten what a relief it was. On my doctor notes it said I had low white bloods and a few lother bits (one began with l) but the midwife said it was fine.. hmm. I'm anticipating anaemia again soon!

Still no bump or anything. think i might occassionally feel a kick or movement inside but a little unsure really. I love it when you get a foot or hand or bum noticeable poking out! I used to tickle ds when he stuck a foot out! Probably why he's so ticklish now!

I feel like it's a girl but think it may just be me preparing for one as I'd like the set Grin I've picked a buggy, name and am eyeing up clothes so it's bound to be a boy! Not that I mind!

Arabica · 08/03/2006 14:03

Hi, was very good and went to the gym this morning. Then was not so good and bought chocolate in Woolies on the way home!
So far (touching fake wood on my desk) I haven't had a recurrence of the sciatica I had in my pregnancy with DS. Just neck pain, which is a bit more manageable. When pg with DS I had to stop going swimming because although the pool was nice getting in and out of my clothes was just too painful, all that bending over and lugging a gym bag to and fro.

Arabica · 08/03/2006 14:07

preparingfor2, here's a list \link{http://www.babycentre.co.uk/refcap/563012.html\of maternitywear sites} & the sizes they cater for.

Boopert · 08/03/2006 14:48

Well its a shock with this sciatica thing! Didn't have anything with ds but sickness. This time i'm in for the works. Bad back, pains, feeling like an old old lady. Who gets breathless walking upstairs........sad

kitegirl · 08/03/2006 14:56

Nbg great news re: dh's job! you pleased? are you house hunting?
x

BabiesEverywhere · 08/03/2006 14:58

Thanks Arabica I am another plus size mum and that link is great.

preparingfor2, Another place to find bigger maternity clothes is ebay, a couple of sellers sell brand new (prob USA) clothes

Boopert · 08/03/2006 15:02

Cheers Arabica. Been looking for some decent mat websites. Don't worry, not just the plus sizes that struggle!!! Unfortunately i don't have the money to go glam. Second hand is good enough for me!!!! Why spend a fortune when you wear them for such a short time??
Have now printed off list and will spend an hour browsing the shops....!

Micku5 · 08/03/2006 15:03

I suffer with a bad back and during my pg with dd had sciatia which I've had ever since. I go to a chiropractor every so often and it helps a great deal.

Boopert · 08/03/2006 15:03

Ahhh the joys of pg. And we go back for more!

Arabica · 08/03/2006 15:14

Yes, Boopert, all my stuff is from ebay or passed on from friends. Only new things are bras and pants and I might splash out on a pretty summer dress or two, cos we are all going to be hot, hot, hot!!! Am absolutely dreading the onset of warmer weather tbh.
