scarlet, dh did bedtime tonight, goes better than if i do it but not well. She's in massive separation anxiety phase- eg she'll be sobbing her heart out if he tries to take her shoes off or take her out of the room away from me... Stops the instant she's sat on my bump again. At the minute she just wants mummy. I don't want to prolong this phase by disappearing for days. Can't believe your inlaws said that. I'm shocked. If you need a CS, you need one. End of.

DreamingOfPeace · 26/02/2012 23:00

Yes, normal baby check is done before 6 hour discharge. I think they're reluctant with twins anyway, and after induction, and if i tore again i couldn't... I don't know, at least it'll all be plann3d for CS... My friend said the same re bonding with new baby.

jaggythistle · 27/02/2012 05:33

good luck pomme!

my phone crashed last night when i tried to post. Angry

Biscuitsandtea · 27/02/2012 06:46

Good luck Pomme Smile

Argh, so I got up for my nightly wee, and while trying to drop back off to sleep it dawned on me that my bump itself had been so achey / painful yesterday that I'd spent so much time thinking about that and hadn't really felt all that many kicks. So realising this at 1am sent me into a bit of a panic Confused. I was then laying there waiting for kicks but not much, well, nothing really, happened. Of course this might be because the baby is always quiet at that time of night - I'm not normally looking for kicks to know? Anyway, I think I'm going to ring the PAU this morning and maybe see if they'll check me over - I feel just all unsettled about it Confused.

Hope everyone else is ok xx

Biscuitsandtea · 27/02/2012 06:50

Oh and Scarlet - that's a great point about making sure the baby is in the crib thing if DS comes to the hospital so I can totally focus on him. As you say, probably common sense but I'd never thought of it and you don't want da to turn up just while you're trying to figure out feeding or something!

I think DS might come to the hospital? I can't get my head around the idea of not being stuck in there for bloody ages again so I guess we'll see. But I do want the 4 of us to come home together so at some point I'll want DS to be given back to DH and I so the hospital might be a good place to do that? Even if he just comes in as we're leaving? I don't know.

pommedechocolat · 27/02/2012 07:47

Off to hospital now. Thanks for all well wishes I will always remember no brooking with this baby. X

ScreamIfYouWantToGoFaster · 27/02/2012 08:02

Good luck Pomme!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

You know we're all 100% behind you!

ScreamIfYouWantToGoFaster · 27/02/2012 08:07

p.s. Biscuits sorry to hear you had a worrying night, If you're still concerned this morning speaking to the hospital sounds like an excellent idea! I hope your LO is super active this morning though!

musicalmrs · 27/02/2012 08:16

Good luck Pomme! Brooking hard for you - and that the powers that be mean that Scream's birth plan is completely correct ;)

Biscuits, sorry about the worrying. If you're still concerned this morning (and LO doesn't choose to do some Imps-esque acrobatic display!) definitely give them a ring!

Scarlet, completely shocked at your in laws. You must have the most amazing ability to hold your tongue in the whole world!

Scream, how's your SPD doing these days now you're not working and are able to rest up much? Have you found any therapies that are helping? Loved your Hamleys story - so very sweet :) We were in London on Friday, but sadly didn't manage a Hamleys trip - DH is desperate to pick out a bear though, so I think I'll have to leave it up to him!

DreamingOfPeace · 27/02/2012 08:26

Eeek, happy baby birthday pomme!

biscuits, I'm frequently unsure who's moving etc... I'd be in all the time, but hope your bean does some good kicks for you. Fill us in if you go

PopcornMouseInBoots · 27/02/2012 08:27

Good luck pomme !

How are things this morning Biscuits ?

Biscuitsandtea · 27/02/2012 08:34

Good luck again Pomme

Am just going home to call PAU as there have been no Imps-esque acrobatics this morning. One 'maybe' kick but I'm going to get checked I think or a least see what they say Confused. Every time I've seen the consultant they have stressed the importance of going in if anything is different so that's what I'm going to do I think.....

Biscuitsandtea · 27/02/2012 08:43

Nice name hangs Popcorn by the way - are you meaning Boots the shop or the footwear? Grin

NinjaChipmunk · 27/02/2012 08:46

Good luck pomme I'll be thinking of you today.
biscuits hope you get some reassurance. How many weeks are you now?
I'm late for work today, oh well never mind!

jenfraggle · 27/02/2012 08:51
Biscuitsandtea · 27/02/2012 08:57

36 weeks tomorrow Ninja

Bugger being late for work - they'll have to start managing without you at all soon enough Grin

Biscuitsandtea · 27/02/2012 08:57

And I would imagine I meant nice name change Popcorn, not name hangs Confused

Biscuitsandtea · 27/02/2012 09:06

Oh and you know our previous discussions on perenium massage? Did anyone else see this thread yesterday?

Has an interesting stretch which looks a lot more do-able to me :)

Mainly because it doesn't involve any foraging Blush

jaggythistle · 27/02/2012 09:09

i was 20 mins late for work today but I have an awesome packed lunch Blush

jenfraggle · 27/02/2012 09:13

Biscuits I do Lazy Daisy!

Whenever I do the stretch I only seem to feel it in my legs but I'm probably awkward like that :)

Biscuitsandtea · 27/02/2012 09:15

Right, orffff to the PAU just to get checked out - am sure I'm being a worry wart but better to be safe.

jaggythistle · 27/02/2012 09:34

Hope wee Biscuitcrumb is dancing when you get there :)

scarletfingernail · 27/02/2012 09:50

Thinking of you both, Pomme and Biscuits

TooImmatureTurtleDoves · 27/02/2012 10:34
