I haven't had any swab done to check for it, should I have? Should I ask for it? Just had sweep. Wasn't too bad. She said she doubts it'll work though as cervix didn't feel ready yet. Booked in for another one next thurs which I really hope I won't make because baby will have arrived by then..

however i have also been treated to a dead mouse in the kitchen! Grrrrr... i wish DP would fix the Feckin holes in the pantry and hall... grrrrr

Hi zhen. I saw a while ago about fb thing but wasn't sure how to get on it! I'm not busy with newborn but knackered and frustrated. Due tomorrow. 4 year old back to school Monday and next week will odd?! Assuming baby not arrived. No work ( only been on mat leave a week) no ds...as back to school...

There are a few of us over on fb but we try to remember to post here too. There have been a few babies this week (don't want to steal anyone's thunder by saying who) but some difficult births so people still in hospital I think. There are also a couple of people in labour right now! But still more without babies than with. Some overdue who are getting grumpy and the rest still waiting.

DD arrived 10 days early so I expected to have a baby by now. Felt weird talking to mw this week about sweeps and induction. Baby is in good position and 3/5 engaged. Been offered a sweep at 41 weeks - not sure if I want it as not convinced they are effective. Really don't want to be induced so she said they might let me go longer than 40+14 if consultant ok and scan shows baby and placenta are fine. Hoping I won't need to discuss any of this any further though.

I'm really struggling having had all 3 of mine off school this week. I havent slept well for weeks :(

Dh has generally been a star though. I think he will also be glad when bubs is born and he gets the usual me back.

I am admitting to induction at 40+5. This is partly to do with my previous history,and partly because I just can't cope any more I know I shpuld be ashamed :(

You have nothing to be ashamed about fee! If there was any risk to me or baby I would be demanding to be induced. I'm fortunate that there isn't so I can wait but I might feel entirely differently if I'm still pregnant in 2 weeks. And I only have one child to look after - really don't know how you have managed with 3, late pregnancy is exhausting!

Officially overdue now and feeling pissed off! Going to have a big cook-off after a tesco trip (on a Saturday - must be nesting or mad!) and then jump up and down for 3 hours!

Hi all, have hardly posted since the beginning - sorry, too busy with existing children! - but would like to update that my beautiful baby Giulia arrived a bit early (38+2) on 9th Feb, 7lb 1 and 48cm long! Big brother and sister are very taken with her and she is like a little replica of her big sister, in looks as well as the sleep refusal stakes!

Congratulations to everybody who had already welcomed their babies to the world, and good luck to everyone who is still waiting

Nesting again today cleaning, washing baby bits, getting cot ready etc... whilst builders are away, trying to contend with DD2's cranium grinding into my pelvis and weeing every 15 minutes as a result.
