Sorry all, another TMI alert but really need reassuring. Blood when doing a number 2, that's normal isn't it? Like bright red blood? Have been suffering constipation but totally freaked out now.
Sorry again.

emblosion · 30/01/2012 14:17

Hi all, just a quick post as Im at work (and have been working all blimmin weekend as well, boo!)

Congratulations to all those with scan news, I guess the numbers of boys and girls are evening up now?

Will have a proper catchup and post more later x

thedogwalker · 30/01/2012 14:27

Elly blood when pooing is quite normal during pg. It will be due to constipation and then you may have got piles. Well if you haven't got piles yet, you will have by the end of your labour Grin. If it persists, it is suggested you speak with your Doc, but you're not alone hun. Please don't worry, all will be ok.

ellybett · 30/01/2012 14:38

Thanks tdw. Really appreciate such a quick response as sat at work stressing! Didn't have anything like this last time and its a shock seeing it when blood normally sets alarm bells off! Was feeling so complacent too!

Dalrymps · 30/01/2012 14:42

Elly yep, normal, I've been getting that too. Could be piles or a small tear called a fissure. Don't worrySmile

itchyfootedlady · 30/01/2012 15:07

Elly agree its normal, although very alarming!

MammaInTheMaking · 30/01/2012 15:12

oh itchy i've just laughed out loud at my desk at the hugest fart of your life and losing an inch around your tummy.

Nothing much to say, other than baby is continuing to be hyperactive.

CathFin · 30/01/2012 15:34

Kveta well done on the pram win, I too bought a P&T when I was expecting DS and sold my Britax single.
I've been looking at the P&T's on ebay and can't believe how much they are going for - mine is looking a bit knackered but I took all the covers off and gave the whole thing a wash last weekend and its looking a lot more shiny.

I also put slime in my inner tubes as I got so many punctures - well worth it, its meant to stop punctures for 2 years!!

Elly - ouch, wouldn't worry unless there is quite a lot of it, maybe try something like lactulose if you aren't already to make things a bit easier?

ceeej · 30/01/2012 16:23

he he also having a good laugh at your fart itchy

looking forward to hearing today's scan news, Warlin your Thomas seem to be continuing Friday's trend of uncooperative babies, hopefully not an indication of what their future holds!

welcome back fubble, do update us on your progress when you eventually catch up

kveta congratulations on your ebay win, the adrenalin rush is pretty awesome isn't it

I went out Orienteering on Sunday, was lovely but LO was bouncing on my bladder so jogging was out of the question, just walked around enjoying the countryside. DH flew out to NY for a week last night so I went to bed at 8pm, felt so refreshed this morning it was awesome. I'm now in the final push with the PhD, should be handing in last chapter on Wednesday then there's just a couple of weeks of editing to do :)

Warlin · 30/01/2012 16:48

itchy that was hilarious...hope nobody in work heard Blush !

Scan was lovely and still grinning from it...I did notice one sticky out there on him and I always said I hope he doesn't get DH ears as they are a bit big.......poor wee mite might have them :( Hoping he'll be more in proportion when born!

Blood is normal elly I've had it too and have been getting nose bleeds...apparently we have so much extra blood that it often comes out of strange places!

So thankful I'm a bit less tired today....made DH swap sides of the bed last night to see if it helps me sleep...didn't really work so willing my dream geni to arrive

Anyway nearly hometime......another Monday gone...yeah!

Oh and welcome fubble

Kayzr · 30/01/2012 16:49

Warlin yay for scan Grin

Elly yeah it's pretty normal. But if it gets too much go see your GP or MW.

DS1 is poorly. I'm knackered as he was coughing loads last night. Sad

Novmama · 30/01/2012 16:57

itchy - wow a 5 hour walk! You are right - you won't be having wine/late nights/long hill walk type weekends for years to come. But don't mourn it - celebrate it! You will have wonderful different trips away - doing things you never thought you'd do before DCs.

Welcome back Fubble and welcome to tipp2.

Love the name Thomas Warlin but then I am biased as my DS1 is Thomas, which is probably why DH won't agree to Tobias for DS2, he thinks they are too similar Hmm.
I've been to work today but still feeling under the weather, booked a day off tomorrow and got a morning at the beauty salon having a pamper morning, hoping to cheer myself up. Tomorrow will be my first day in over 17 months that I'm not either working or looking after DS1. No wonder my batteries are low, fingers x that DS1 doesnt fall ill over night or have I just jinxed myself??? Hope everyone is well xx

AmethystMoon · 30/01/2012 19:04

Hello everyone, just got back from long weekend away and can't believe how much I've missed! Congratulations to everyone that now knows what flavour they're having...so exciting Grin
Bump has grown considerably over the last few days but that might be due to the amount I've eaten Blush

ecstatica · 30/01/2012 19:46

Hello girls,
Scan went well [huge sigh of relief], all looking perfectly fine. Was asked to get up mid-scan to perform some star jumps and walk around in the hope that the LO would give us a good shot of its spine -- it did and went home relieved and happy :)

Warlin - Was thinking of you. So happy that you too saw your LO and all is well. Amethyst - Eat up! You have the perfect excuse!
TDW - That is great news, you could do with pampering yourself and I hope you enjoy every minute of it :) Not surprising the old batteries are low!
Kayzr - Hope DS is alright. You have my sympathies, DS1 is just getting over ear infection and we're finally all feeling a little more human!
Ceej - Finally, you're almost there! Good luck with the editing.
Itchy - Burst out laughing, fortunately no one heard or would have had to explain myself. Can't imagine a 5 hour walk, I have to think twice about walking to the shop with my SPD. Life certainly is different before DC. I totally appreciate the time alone DH and I have when the boys are with grandparents -- it really is quality US time.
Kveta - Congrats on bid!
ellybett - Snap with the SPD, nothing is really working other than the painkillers and the odd hot water bottle. The Dream Genii doesn't help the SPD pain for me, just makes me more comfy when trying to sleep. I get so over tired I end up crying some nights. What are you doing about yours? I do not want to wait referral for physio as it will take forever and I know from last PG that a belt, exercise sheet and crutches are what i came away with. Who should I see privately?
Dalyrymps Katy Rrray ffnorm -- I know i've forgotten some of you, forgive me!!! Big waves :)

Right off to prepare tomorrow's lessons, am days behind!

rhibutterfly · 30/01/2012 20:58

hi all, hope everyone having nice day.Went to see midwife today because i've been having bad pain in my groin ,pubic bone area, have to say for first time was a bit dissapointed with the care i received, wasn't able to see my midwife straight away a new midwife saw me,I wasn't examined, was told it probably normal pregnancy niggles(i have been through pregnancy before, i know what normal feels like) did get to here the baby's heartbeat which was lovely. When i finally saw my midwife she suggested i buy a belt and if i was still in pain down the line i could be referred, she then said it was to early to be suffering from SPD or PGPas it,s now called. Moan over :)

bemybebe · 30/01/2012 21:10

hi guys, i am coming again, this time to properly add my name to The List as I was afraid before to jinx my luck... was following the threads a bit, but again, afraid to engage too much before my 20week scan. that was today, the baby is a little girl!!!!!!! all is fine, all healthy and on target to be born on 22june [grim], dh and i cannot stop grinning today

ttc for ...forever, this time will be a dd2 (dd1 tragically was born prematurely and did not make it from the hospital). fx this time we will be all at home happy and healthy

rhibutterfly · 30/01/2012 21:12

Congratulations Bemybebe hope all goes well for you xxx

bemybebe · 30/01/2012 21:13

[grim]?? ffs it is Grin!!

Kayzr · 30/01/2012 21:17

Congratulations bemybebe Grin I'm really sorry to hear about your DD1. Sad

ceeej · 30/01/2012 21:17

butterfly sorry to hear you didn't get better care from the midwife, surprised they said it couldn't be SPD/PGP yet, I had a friend who suffered from 12 weeks with her second and I'm sure there are a good few people on the thread already suffering (ecstatica and ellybet for definite), you may have to hasstle them a bit more if it doesn't ease up :(

welcome tipp2, make yourself comfy, are you finding out the flavour?

tdw you definitely deserve a break and pampering sounds like an excellent plan, enjoy it

I'm off for another early night, think LO is having a growth spurt as the exhaustion has come back big time.

rhibutterfly · 30/01/2012 21:21

thanksceeej have a good sleep:)

ellybett · 30/01/2012 21:22

Thanks everyone for their reassuring messages. Have been eating so much fruit this afternoon!

Welcome tipp2 and bemybebe lovely to have you both.

rhi sorry but your mw is talking bobbins. It's definitely not too early to suffer from PGP/ SPD and the 'pregnancy niggles etc' is a commonly banded about myth. Have a look at www.pelvicpartnership.org.uk for useful tips and interestingly enough it says that the earlier treatment is sought the better the chances of curing it! I'm waiting on a physio referral from GP but am considering finding a private physio or occupational therapist. My concern is if I don't seek help early it will affect the kind of birth I want.

Glad scans went well warlin and ecstatica. Was wondering how long the 20 week appointment has lasted for you folk as alot of people have said they've been asked to get up and walk about it. Was just wondering what to tell work in terms of how late I'll be in on Monday.

kveta congrats on the win. I've decided that once i get the flavour I'll really hit ebay and try and get some nice bargains. If it's a boy it will be buying from scratch mostly even though we tried to be as unisex as we could with DD. At least this time I know not to go crazy with buying! Have far too many outfits DD wore one or two times only!

Have a lovely pamper sesh tomorrow tdw.
