This is just a flying visit to say how very sorry I am to hear that Wants had such a bad night. I agree with the others that it's worth discussing with your mw. I hope it doesn't happen again anyway.

Thanks scarlet I just posted and got rejected! Thanks to everyone for their concern. I am still feeling a bit flaky and achy so DH has sent me back to bed. I am wondering if I have a food intolerance which has been aggravated by pregnancy? Ps I do let any wind go free ( I warn DH in advance that I won't be holding back!) :)

All good here got farley's weigh in with the mw tomorrow which i'm rather nervous about. Seem to have 50% success rate on getting some reasonable ish sleep which means tonight will be awful s we got and 7 hours altogether last night.

DS1 is being rather difficult again. It's totally doing my head in as I can't lift him after the cs so Dh is stuck d/w him most of the time so now I get told to go away or hit. Hmmm where is my ovely sweet angel boy from a couple of weeks ago?

Hawthers of course you're welcome still, I hope you keep coming back and updating. Sorry to hear your DS1 is playing up, hopefully things will be better once you're fully recovered from your CS and able to play with him a bit more. Has your DH returned to work yet? Maybe DS1 will improve once you get back to normal routines and DH isn't around. I always find that DS is far more loving with me when Daddy isn't around. If Daddy's at home he's not interested in me one bit. Let us know how Farley gets on with his weigh in tomorrow.

Sorry to hear your DS1 is acting out a bit. How is he getting on with little Farley? I hope that he'll settle down soon and go back to being a sweet little angel!! Fingers crossed for Farley to get the hang of regular night-time sleeping very soon! It's still a big ask for such a little man, but he's a No Brooker so he'll have it all in hand in no time!

Dream pretty please may I ask for your expert advice on a cotbed issue? We're starting to buy all our baby stuff now mainly because I'm stuck in bed and do nothing but google baby purchases all day long! and I think I mentioned before that we're now sold on the Cosatto Hogarth (in Oak/White) which we'll probably be ordering shortly. I was also looking into the Ventiflow mattress you recommended previously, and it looked like a really good option to me! However it looks like we've missed the boat! The Ventiflow has gone from £65 on Amazon up to £90 :( Whilst looking around for alternatives I came across the Cosatto Springi mattress here which is on one website for £63. I think it looks quite good, but I'd appreciate your pediatric physio opinion! Thanks!

Scream, I wanted to say thanks for your list of questions on the previous thread! All very useful for another first timer :)

And thank you everyone for your responses to the questions - they are sosososo useful for someone like me and DH who are a little clueless. I obviously knew about a few of the things, but it's so lovely to hear from people who've been through the experience recently - especially when you don't have anyone who has in your close circle of friends!

One quick question here- someone (on a thread somewhere) recommended the heavy-use tena pants alongside/instead of maternity pads. Anyone tried this, or think it's a particularly good or bad idea?

Busy weekend here. Visiting the parents today, and visited a mortgage adviser yesterday - the long and short of which is it looks like we can afford to buy somewhere IF we have an offer accepted in the next three/four months! The time frame is because of the way my income works - I'll be assessed on my past three months' worth of pay slips and income, so it has to be before I go on full maternity leave. Some extra madness to add to the next couple of months..!

Is it wrong to be of those with leaky nips? I have been eagerly squeezing my boobs looking out for any signs of leakiness since Christmas. Last time around I remember leaking a little at around the 30 week mark and I want it to come back.

Hello, the textbooks say we start producing colostrum from about 16 weeks and some may leak from then, however there is a school of thought that colostrum is produced even earlier, especially in multips.
Leaky boobs/non leaky boobs and breast size bear no consequence to milk production. In case any of you are going why aren't MY boobs leaking.

I had a MW appt earlier and looks like I have some sort of infection, had protein, leukocytes and blood in my urine! So have to wait and see how that pans out, I don't have any symptoms either!

I have to drop off a urine sample, FMU AND mid stream! That will be sent off along with my swabs to see what sort of infection and then anti bs from there. So glamorous this pregnancy lark!

Oh yes the glamour is never ending isn't it . Great that you don't have any symptoms though. Good job your midwife checked it. Did she check itwhen you saw her last Sunday? If so at least you know you've not had it for very long.

Sorry to hear about your infection Purple but I'm glad you have no symptoms and it's good the mw caught it. I thought our days of glamorously POAS or into little containers was over with the BFP, but no that fun appears to continue throughout pregnancy! Yay!

Yes all clear last week. Hopefully symptoms don't start, only ever had cystitis (that I know of) so this is a new one on me!

Thanks for the bp info purple. Just out of interest, what actually happened when they sent you to the hospital to be checked? Did they just check your bp again themselves, or check the baby too? Sorry to hear you've got an infection too - hopefully you'll be treated before any symptoms appear. I'm drinking cranberry juice every day this pregnancy, as I had a uti twice when preg before.

I'm had more spotting today. Not lots, but a bit more than before. I'm not getting overly worried, but it's been a reminder that I'm not past the 12 week mark yet, and not to get too carried away with excitement.

Scream, I seem to be peeing into a pot at least once a fortnight - oooh the glamour! Last summer I had some dodgy blood test results and wound up having to provide a full day's worth of pee - they gave me a petrol-can sized jug and sent me home with it. I am a veteran of pee-provision!

Sorry Little, cross post. I hope the spotting goes away - is it red or brown? Try not to stress (easier said than done) and rest as much as possible.

I had my blood pressure taken 3 times at my mlu, with a gap of 20 mins with me lying on my side between the first and second reading and then a third.
Then my score were averaged out and I think they were 160/96! So I was sent to large hospital, where I had my bp taken 3 times again, luckily it had come down.
I had actually had a blood test the day before and they were able to put the extra tests I needed on to that. So they would do comprehensive tests on blood to see if there is anything dodgy going on/pre-eclampsia.
They don't really worry about pre eclampsia until 20 weeks plus as it is very unusual. They just listened to the baby at both hospitals and he was fine.

If you have high bp then they would probably refer you to a consultant and keep an eye on you, plus if regularly high then they might put you on beta blockers. Luckily? I am labile so my bp just varies, luckily I have been in a normal range for a while. I do have very regular mw check ups, to keep an eye on everything.

I hope your spotting is nothing, have you told your MW? They should scan you, sorry if this has been covered?!

little I second the suggestion to let your mw know about the spotting, so it is recorded at the very least. Hope that's the last of it though. Have you had your 12 week appt date through yet?
