FrillyMilly · 17/01/2012 12:23

When they were between 5 and 7 minutes. They jumped about a little bit which is why I thought it wasn't labour.

ghosteditor · 17/01/2012 12:38

Well in that case I want a replica of your labours, Fryn and frilly!

Looks like the BHs are easing right off now. I'm bouncing on my ball and watching a film, and I'll have a walk after lunch, but I'm just so bored of wondering about it!!

Oeisha · 17/01/2012 13:12

ghost 39+6 today so not at all overdue. KNow what uo mean about being bored. It's not exactly that, but it certainly is a little vexing just WAITING. Might also go for a walk later. Not sure where I can go mind you.

red congrats! Looking froward to hearing about it all.

Everything seems to have stopped, or at least significantly reduced. Or paracetamol's being very effective...but I'm going with stopped. Ah well.

belini has had her twins :-D she updated FB!!

It's all very exciting Grin

Today I have stock taken the freezers, prepared a shopping list, taken delivery of the family moses basket and supervised the decorating of baby's cake Grin

Still very sore with the odd BH although mine have calmed down since xmas. Got my sweep n my due date Friday 20th so hoping that sets things off over the weekend.

I am truly FED UP!!!! Thank god for bighotmama keeping me sane with scrabble Grin....I actually beat her yesterday and she's one tough cookie I'll tell ya!!!

ghosteditor · 17/01/2012 14:26

Congratulations bellini! Thanks and Thanks!!!

...and it's sort of all stopped here... Sad

ParsleyLion1 · 17/01/2012 15:39

Congrats bellini Grin

Had my second pessary thingie. First one probably did very little on the basis that the MW couldn't reach my cervix today!

Also bubs has moved back to back which is v annoying as she's been LOA for the last 10 wks Hmm

ghosteditor · 17/01/2012 16:25

Hi Parsley - here's hoping that the second pessary does more for you!

addictediam · 17/01/2012 16:46

Congratulations belini and red.

Well what was THAT about?! I just had a really bad period pain cramp that lasted 5 minutes, and before it had gone another one came lasting another 5 minutes Hmm when i say bad I mean I couldn't move just had to breathe/rock (on all 4s) through it. But ive had nothing since Confused dh will be home in about an hour and I'm going to try and sleep as i ended up having 4 hours last night and friends here today during dds nap time. Im already exausted so if this os the start of something I won't get through it myself.
I've also just realised tomorrow is the due date I worked out! I thought it was still about a week away.

Ghost hoping the pains come back for you.

Parsley hope things get going really soon

BigHotMama · 17/01/2012 16:53

Hey supa your pretty damn good at scrabble too loving our games Grin

Congrats to Bellini and red great news Thanks

Just got back from mw app hoping it's the last one as 39 wks tomorrow. Was a bit concerned after being told by a neighbour that the hospital I'm booked in with has refused 150 labouring women during the last 2 weeks. This is due to another local maternity ward closing down so major shortage of beds. She assured me I'll be able to go as high risk and aiming for VBAC. Fx there will be enough beds!

Hope your 2nd pessary works parsley mine did with ds took a few hours though.

Sending lots of positive labour vibes to everyone else left waiting x

Oeisha · 17/01/2012 17:47

Congrats to Bellini Thanks Bear
and red Thanks Bear

parsley any chance of you getting in to The Inversion or at least being on your hands and knees a lot. Can't be sure that's what turned Abi, but it's meant to work up until baby's in the canal. Might help the pessery stay in place too! FX for you.

addicted sounds intriguing.

Just thought parsley, you might be on your phone or similar so spinningbabies.com/techniques/the-inversion and spinningbabies.com/techniques/the-inversion

Anyone else utterly fed up with people telling them to "enjoy the time you have left with ust you and DH"...FUCK OFF! This is NOT fun, it's NOT easy, it's NOT restful, I feel bloody GRIM and exactly what ENJOYING do you want me to do being this big, uncomfortable, in pain for one reason or another and just BLOODY WAITING...!!! Seriously getting fed up with it.

Pants on the contraction stopping ghost and addicted Sad hopefully they will start again soon.

Congrats red Thanks

Finally had my suppository a couple of hours ago. Did the trick but seems to have taken away most of the crampy pains I was having. Boo - hoping they come back soon. This baby is very comfy and doesn't realise she's being served notice. She is now fully engaged though.

Hoping all you ladies are doing ok.

Good luck tomorrow to fish and peanuts xx

ParsleyLion1 · 17/01/2012 17:56

X post oeisha

Yes. Trying to do the all fours thing. Also lying on my right hand side which the MW thinks will help from the position she is in.

I have that website open already from when you posted it the other day. I'm a bit scared to try it on my own.

DawnOfTheDee · 17/01/2012 18:12

Congrats red and bellini! xxx

I'm 10 days over now.....keep swinging between feeling absolutely fine and thinking 'at least the end is in sight now' and crying cos i'm irrationally jealous of everyone who is getting lovely newborn cuddles (both on here & in my nct class...i'm the only one left) & worrying about induction. Sad

addictediam · 17/01/2012 18:46

Hmm just had another strong pain 2 hours after the first? Confused really praying this turns into something, but not holding out much hope! (she has cried wolf too many times for me to really believe it)

ghosteditor · 17/01/2012 19:06

Hi ladies, actually looking good here - proper contractions, very different from HBs, requiring TENS and breathing and hip waggling, between 4 and 7 mins apart. I had a nap and a proper cx woke me and they've been going ever since!

Not getting enough time in between but thinking good thoughts for all of you, here's hoping this is it for me this time!!!

tigana · 17/01/2012 19:10

Hi all. Haven't read thread, sorry, just popping in to report baby Tabitha finally born yesterday at 1552, weighing 8lb 2oz. 1st cx at about 1030. Did it with TENS, entonox and swearing. Very quick, no time for iv anti-biotics but all fine and dandy. Home now. Tired but happy.

Oeisha · 17/01/2012 19:27

Congrats Tig! Thanks and welcome Tabitha Bear

BigHotMama · 17/01/2012 19:32

Congratulations tigana sounds like quite a quick birth. Thanks enjoy lots of newborn snuggles.

Fx for you ghost hope this is the real thing.

fishandlilacs · 17/01/2012 19:55

OOOh congrats red, belini, tigana and pre-emptive congrats to you ghost-sounds like the real deal.

Busy girls we are this week. Pop pop!

How you doing peanuts did you get my pm? Very good luck for tomorrow. i'm as twitchy and puppy dog wanting a wee. Keep finding myself jobs to do when all i really need to is chill and rest.

ah the irony of it all. I have been having crampy cx feelings since about 2pm this afternoon-regular. Haven't had HB's properly for ages and ages and now wondering if i'll wake up in the night in a puddle and contracting only to arrive in hospital to find i am in labour already. Wouldn't that be weird and funny if i did. DH's mum is here now so my biggest worry of childcare is now resolved-it may be that i'm relaxed enough for it to start.
The phones have been ringing off the hook, people have been so lovely. Even my boss form the contract work sent me a text to say she's thinking of me. My dad phoned me-he never does that!

Just one question-should I take my breast pump into hospital with me? i dunno if i'll need to express. I suppose i should-what did everyone else do?

ghosteditor · 17/01/2012 19:55

Oh congrats tigana!

Just called MW unit as cx every 3 mins - they want me to stay home as it sounds like early labour. But they're every 3 mins!!! Just because I don't need pain relief...

ParsleyLion1 · 17/01/2012 19:57

Congrats tigana Thanks

Good luck ghost hopefully this is you off Smile

Fx addicted

Still nothing going down here.

fishandlilacs · 17/01/2012 19:57

ooooh ghost. Stay hiome for as long as you can, but if you feel like you need to go in then do.

very excited for you xxxx

ParsleyLion1 · 17/01/2012 19:59

How long are they lasting ghost?

Good luck fish and peanuts.

addictediam · 17/01/2012 20:52
