Who's pinched my perfect little boy and replaced him with this little monster??!

Had a rough couple of nights with James not settling at all, not latching properly, have ended up expressing a few feeds which seems to be easier as DH can help me now! We've invested in a double electric breast pump today so you can now call me Daisy!!!

Had my first post-natal poo today sorry TMI, which wasn't too bad considering the bad tear, mind you have been drinking plenty of lactulose, its the new champagne in our house!! Can't even wet the baby's head yet as on antibiotics I can't drink with so we have some bubbly on ice for next Wednesday.....can't wait.

parsley I can't believe your still waiting, that's ridiculous. Hope you get some news soon. You never now it might be as quick as the lady's next door as soon as they pop the pessary in!

Yes sorry, she posted on her wall. Baby boy born yesterday morning. I'll let her come and give all the details.

Its a hidden group. You'll need to pm makescakes or fish as they are both admins, but I think fish is still in hospital after her cs and makescakes may take a while to respind due to being tied up with baby.

Congratulations buzz and livened!

Oh dear, all this talk of non-latching babies is making me nervous. DD had that problem, but for some reason I've had selective memory on that and keep thinking it'll be easier this time. Anyway, guess I'll find out!

salad - shame about the champagne having to wait! One of my friends recommended champagne and chocolate to get the bf-ing going well last time - weirdly it did actually help!

No signs here - period type pain woke me up last night, but didn't last, and no movement south with the bump - still high and proud! I suspect this one won't be making an appearance anytime soon, but then again I'm not due for another 8 days, so can't really complain!

Today's not a good day. Just feel so fed up with everything . Just want my baby-girl here to snuffle.

Hello everyone! Will catch up properly with the thread soon but wanted to let you know I had a baby girl on Tuesday. Labour was pretty horrible, ended up with an epidural and then forceps delivery because baby's heart rate went up and there was a bit of meconium when my waters broke. Also had to stay four nights in hospital where I seemed to be in tears every day because baby wouldn't latch on properly and my nipples were ruined in the process! I'm now expressing and managing to feed her that way but we'll persevere with the breast in the hope it works out eventually. The bad feeding experience and exhaustion from the labour (back to back baby meant v v strong contractions, I was having contractions every 3 mins and was only 2cm dilated!) meant I struggled to bond with the baby. But now we're home I'm glad to say I have completely fallen in love with her and feeling more optimistic about the feeding.

Anyway, good luck to all ladies still waiting and hope you get the birthing experience you wanted. Now to catch up with the thread and congrats to those who have given birth!

Parsley has been unusually quiet today, really hoping its because shes has her baby at last.

Grr, i can't sleep so am on the Wii playing lego harry potter and needing a wee every second as im also bouncing on my birth ball. Hopefully I'll wear myself out enough. to sleep soon!

Hi all

Just a quick note to announce the arrival of my beautiful daughter at 8pm this evening. 6 pounds 5 oz by c section in the end for reasons I'll explain tomorrow All a bit of an ongoing saga but we are both well.

Congrats to buzzy livened kelli10 and bellakins so happy you all have your babies.

Oiesha I keep falling asleep at any opportunity which is not like me today went to pics with dh and ds to wake up from a 10/20 min snooze halfway through film, have just woken up from a good half hour on sofa and now I'm off to bed just hope I can sleep now.

My lovely sister organised a surprise baby shower earlier today for me which was lovely so think I'm just knackered from that and late one last night.

Hoping it's a good sign that parsley hasn't been on today fx.

Just read stats list znd I'm only one left in team yellow so place ya bets what's it to be eh? Most are saying girl but I'll be shocked if it is as always thought I'd have two boys. Exciting!

Well done bellakins , your labour sounds similar to mine, he was back to back, pain was bloody horrendous! I was 2cm for ages, so soul destroying when it feels like your body is working so hard. I didn't end up having an epidural though and i pushed mine out with minutes to spare (as the Dr was polishing his forceps ready for use!) Thank god for G&A and diamorphine is all I can say!

My legs were up in stirrups for most of the pushing phase and I had all manner of folk shoving their hands up my middle bottom...I waved bye bye to my dignity as it tumbled out the window, I don't think smears will be a problem from now on

oeisha sorry today's been a bad day, chin up won't be long now. Sleep sleep sleep whilst ya can!!

Ladies, where does everyone stand on the dummy thing? So much conflicting advice on t'internet. Anyone any thoughts or experiences to plug or not to plug??!
