My eyes are watering...13lbs that's amazing!! Well done fish enjoy.

And well done all you others with beautiful new babies, congratulations!!!!!!!!!! x

Fryn · 18/01/2012 16:03

Wow - it's been a babyfest in the past couple of days! Huge congratulations to Tigana, Belini, Emmy, Peanuts, Fish and Ghost. Have a Brew ladies, I think you deserve it!

At this rate I really will be the last one standing! Just been booked in for my homebirth and now have an ominous looking MW bag sitting in my living room - hoping I won't need it until I've got the waterproof mattress cover (?!) or I'll have to give birth on bin bags.

So, who else is left?? I'm only 38+3, so ages to go!

Livened · 18/01/2012 16:54

Hi all,

Been lurking for ages but not posted much. I'm now 40 + 2 and getting more impatient by the day!!

Had a sweep on Monday and then a bloody show (sorry TMI) yesterday and a few sporadic contractions but that's it - not sure how much more I can wait!

Scan on Monday said he was 8lbs and my cervix was 2cm dilated so am really hopeful something will happen soon....

Hope everyone else waiting is ok and let you all know when I've something to report.

X

Oeisha · 18/01/2012 17:53

ghost Many congrats! Thanks Bear
and peanuts Thanks Bear
fish Congrats too! Thanks Bear! 13lb! Crikey!

I'm still going... 40 today...

Had a sweep. Then Abi's heartrate dropped very significantly...to 105-128 for a few seconds, so I went in to MWLU for a CTG, where, as usual she went MENTAL. As in, OMG this baby isn't stopping going mental...so came home for a couple of hours "rest" and have just got back from a second CTG where basically, she's fine...just a mentalist...like wot I told them.

On the plus, cervix is nice and soft and according to the CTG I've been having regular tightenings (not that I'm feeling them unless I'm bored out of my mind sat attatched to a CTG looking for them). The MW that did the sweep also apparently has a good record. Still think she's gonna be in there this time next week though. Have had a bit of pink&brown, and a few more cramps, since the prodding, but nothing significant.

Mucho congratulations to ghost peanuts and fish (I'm ignoring any talk of 13lb babies...cannot contemplate that sort of malarky at the moment Wink!)

I'm now 41+4 - had a second sweep today but no signs that baby is making the slightest effort to vacate the premises.....apart form the occasional spirited attempt to exit via the top of my tummy alien-stylee! Grin

If nothing doing in the next few days I'm booked in at Jimmy's for an induction on saturday....please send any laboury type vibes this way...i'm really hoping something happens in the meantime!

shonnomanom · 18/01/2012 18:24

Oft! Wowzer 13lbs! And I thought my bit was big at 10lbs 4oz. Thank goodness for the section eh...

Congrats on all if todays new babies, my mind is in too much shock to remember names Thanks

MissRee · 18/01/2012 18:47

Congrats to all the new mummies!! Sorry but I can't keep up Grin

ParsleyLion1 · 18/01/2012 19:07

Just had an examination after removal of the second pessary thingy. Cervix is still v posterior but has softened a bit but still v thick. Don't know whether docs will try to break my waters later or not after that. Tampon thing they insert was v sharp and seems to have sandpapered my fanjo so felt like a girly wuss when they gave me
gas and air just for the exam! Blush it did cause a show though.

Had complete emotional meltdown earlier and full on sobbing fit. All these ladies keep coming in after me and I have to listen to them going into labour and then moving on. Plus the diabetic diet at the hospital blew my glucose reading at lunch combined with just generally being fed up with being here, nothing happening and docs being several hours behind schedule to find out what is going on etc etc was very sorry for myself. Called OH back in to keep me company and distract me for a bit

ParsleyLion1 · 18/01/2012 19:10

Ps. oeisha I'm surprised they were worried by that. They've told me here that anything between 110 and 160 is fine and even small peaks beyond that wouldn't cause particular concern.

ParsleyLion1 · 18/01/2012 20:17

Consultant just been. Am 1cm dilated so they will break my waters in the morning. No space in delivery for me to do earlier. she said I had a "good pelvis" whatever that means and not to let anybody do a c section.

Oeisha · 18/01/2012 20:18

parsley SOrry things aren't progressing. Must be tough listening to others come an go.

I think it as because she dropped to 105 with the hand-held doppler...and her usual range is 145-155.
They said anything below 110 meant a CTG. As for the upper range, she was just there for a looooong time (20mins of bashing about like a hooligan between 150 and 185), hense the rest and re-test. No signs of any issues (other than being a bust mentalist) on the CTG.

Just been to see fish. She looked amazing, chilled and gorgeous. And babyfish is just lush.

ParsleyLion1 · 18/01/2012 21:27

Cool tell fish we can't wait to see photos. Xx

Oh I see oeisha I've been on the ctg so many times over the last 3 days I've kind of got used to it. They don't mind in here when bubs goes BSM on it. She's really ffed off with it now so I end up on the bloody thing for hours while she willy nilly boots it off

Hopefully progress in the morning for me Wink

xshevix · 19/01/2012 00:10

Is any one up? All day ive been feeling restless and going from really irritated to wanting to cry for no reason! I havent been hormonal through-out the entire pregnancy so dont know whats up Sad

redheadbedhead · 19/01/2012 01:11

Thanks for all the congratulations ladies, and congratulations to everyone else! Am writing this with lefthand thumb on phone while bf little Jim so will be short! Just wanted to say we're all fine and I'll post pix and birth story soon. Can't wait to see you all on the other side and get going on the post natal thread Grin xx

FrillyMilly · 19/01/2012 06:49

Congratulations fish. Hope you are recovering well.

Good luck Parsley. Hopefully things will get going today.

I'm 40+2 and utterly fed up. I am physically exhausted and have no patience at all. DD is full of a cold so had quite a disturbed sleep with her coughing. I need this baby to come out now!!

ParsleyLion1 · 19/01/2012 07:51

Morning ladies Smile

Let's see what today brings. I've a horrible feeling I'm going to be hanging around for a delivery room all day. They won't break my waters until they know I have somewhere to go but there are still people here from yesterday!

Oeisha · 19/01/2012 09:42

red Glad to hear all is well. Grin

frilly 40+1 here and yup, I feel your pain...

Parsely I hope they find you a room soon. Must be frustrating being so close and yet having to wait...

Actually slept very well lastnight. A few very painful twinges but nothing too exciting. Not much discharge form the sweep either....so me's thinking it's not worked.

DH has taken some leave today as he's too paranoid to go anywhere. He's also too distracted to do any decent work, so figured he might aswell be at home. No amounts of me telling him it will be fine, nothing's going to happen that quickly etc etc will persuade him, so what the hell. He can tidy the kitchen for me! Grin

Good luck to anyone waiting//pushing/CSing today!
