Are your children’s vaccines up to date?
Kayzr · 28/01/2012 19:27

Thanks Ses

BB hello!!!! I'm sorry you're having such a tough time ttc. Sad will the GP do a blood test to see if you are pg or where your period is if not pg?

Can PCOS make your periods go haywire?

It's very nice to 'see' you on here!! Grin

Kayzr · 28/01/2012 19:28

BB do ignore most of my post. It didn't register that the blood test = dr doing a test. Blush

BBisbackwithaBABY · 28/01/2012 19:36

Dont worry kayz its super lovely to see u all too Grin im ridiculously pleased to have re found my safe bolt hole haha! But... Where is NJ? Ohh i cant wait to catch up! Congrats on the girl bump and the new love too! Grin

Kayzr · 28/01/2012 19:39

NJ doesn't come one anymore. She hasn't been on here in months and months.

GingerbreadLatte · 28/01/2012 19:40

hi all

Kayz - my midwife was quite encouraging about HB and suggested it early on and I said no. A bit more research, and my nhs antenatal classes, I was decided! She was fine with it!

Not sure if I'd be 'allowed' another time after a 10lb 12 baby, but I will push hard ( no pun intended!!) for it. Is you midwife different to when you had DS2?

Bb welcome back, I remember you. I was GYO or giraffeyoga then. I am also TTC#2 and have Pcos. It's certainly harder this time ( though its only been 4 or 5 cycles, dd was a one hit wonder!) and my last cycle was really odd, and long. I've been told not to use opks with Pcos something to do with false positives.

I'm happy o have a fellow Pcos-er to share the ttc fun with here :D

Hi Ses - well done to O, what a star!!!

Kayzr · 28/01/2012 19:43

No it is the same MW. She said that I would be fine to have another HB after a big baby. I need to have a growth scan at some point. But as I had no problems having DS2, there shouldn't be any reason why I can't do it again.

SESthebrave · 28/01/2012 19:48

Ah see what happens when BB comes out of the woodwork? We get a v chatty half hour!! We'll be back on "most active" at this rate!

Ginger - that's interesting about PCOS and false negatives on OPKs. Must go and do some research....!

DH and I were going to go out for dinner to discuss finances tonight but babysitter can't make it now and I'm knackered anyway so we've got a steak each and I think I'll have an early night! We can try again for a meal out next weekend :)

GingerbreadLatte · 28/01/2012 19:48

That's good to here. Are you bing offered glucose tolerance test? I heard it was standard if you have had a previous baby over certain wt. might just be my area though...

GingerbreadLatte · 28/01/2012 19:48

*hear- I can spell!

BBisbackwithaBABY · 28/01/2012 19:48

Hey ginger aw good to have a fellow pcos-er too in a bad sort of way haha! I struggle with cycle length too, ive had longer than this but I feel different IYKWIM? Never has thrush before BUT did have tonsilitis before it, no antibiotics though?! I think thats the hardest part.. Wanting it so badly!

kayz how is the wedding coming? Are you getting exited?

How is everyone? Oh im all Grin haha!

Kayzr · 28/01/2012 20:04

Ginger Not heard anything about it. I might ask about doing one to try and rule it out.

Wedding planning is done pretty much. Waiting for bits and bobs to be delivered now.

StarryNewYear · 28/01/2012 22:22

Ah, our founding member! Great to see you back BB! I was on here at the beginning too (think I've always been StarshineTiger on here - just undergoing a seasonal name change at the mo). Sorry you've had such a tough time with TTC, keeping fingers crossed for you.

Ses, sorry for failed dinner out, but hope the early night is achieved and you get dinner out next week.

Rugby - glad to hear I'm not the only one who doesn't achieve the housework. I manage tidying, washing, washing up and all cooking as well as most of the ironing - my excuse is that DD will start nursery/pre-school at some point this year (depending on when she gets a place), so I may as well make the most of the time with her now). Glad you're enjoying being at home with your DD.

Single parenting hasn't been too bad today thanks, Ginger. Both DC have been very good and we've had a fun day. DH recovering okay too which is good.

Ooh what an a give thread today !

BBisBBack · 29/01/2012 08:01

Hey all hi starry its great to be known Grin

Onto sad news this morning. At a grand total of 28 days late if i were expecting a 30 day cycle AF has arrived. A day before a pregnancy blood test. AngrySad im thinking now that attending the blood test would be stupid? Its annoying and disappointing as I've had oral thrush heartburn backache fatigue and sickness... All in my head apparently! DH equally disappointed which hurts feels like ive let him down?! Generally not a good day for BB and mr BB, little BB is much better today though so i'll take the positives where I can i suppose!

GingerbreadLatte · 29/01/2012 10:25

I'm sorry BB. AF arriving disappointment is hard to swallow.... Hope you can be looked after today x

BBisBBack · 29/01/2012 10:44

Am going to throw self into house work And cooking shortly and hope that at least busys my brain Hmm its a vicious place to dwell at the mo! Hope all is going better for you all than me? I normally tun to Biscuit but i shant i am telling myself nothing tastes as good as newborn feels! Ha!

Diege · 29/01/2012 16:55

Kayzr · 30/01/2012 07:58

BB Sorry for AF arriving. How are you feeling today?

DS1 has a cough and has been up all night so he is off school and I feel like death.

I need a holiday.

BBisBBack · 30/01/2012 08:31

Morning all! ses i wanted to watch that but i tie myself up in knots and get all tearful so DH banned me! Is miranda doing well in a serious role? I love her!

Hi diege! Its been ages I kno! ginger I know what you mean about weather its been winter for ages, it feels! We were forecast snow here down south thankfully it hasnt arrived!!Wink

kayz apart from the call to cancel the blood appointment not too bad today, the boy provides great distraction and much source for smiles, so far so good! DH and I have done what we always do.. Dissect the time and work out what we could of done differently so I think we will both be more committed from now on! Ah pants re coughing! I hate lack of sleep makes the day loads harder!

BBisBBack · 30/01/2012 08:33

GingerbreadLatte · 30/01/2012 15:50

where has all the lovely chat gone!!??

Grin
SESthebrave · 30/01/2012 16:09

Well I've been far too busy having a very good day Grin

One of my Area Managers emailed me to say that he's nominated me for one of the company's annual Best of the Best awards for south east Field Team Leader!! I was stunned but v happy. Not expecting to actually win but it's lovely to be nominated :) :) :)

To celebrate (that's my excuse anyway!) I went on a title spending spree in JoJoMaman in Brighton. I got some maternity tights and a couple of tops for DS and then in the sale got a wooden nativity scene/figures, a denim maternity skirt and a wrap sling. Is that all ok for £77?!

Hope you're all having a good day :)

Kayzr · 30/01/2012 16:20

Yay SES!!!! That is brilliant

BBisBBack · 30/01/2012 16:33

Aw SES well done! Thats the type of recognition thats so fulfilling to receive! Makes going to work less of a chore!

I have been out and about today, boyo had asthma clinic which was quite beneficial, then went to lunch which was only the harvester but was nice, then to a friends. Which is where the day took a Sad turn, as particular child WILL NOT share! So lots of shrieking and tears. Boyo is no angel but i did think he was more victim than aggressor! Now home hes sleeping and ive ordered him a lil Treat! I should wale him but the peace is so nice Grin hehe
