Cant YAY!! It all sounds like your life is much better than it was. I agree that less money and more family time is better.

Ses I hope it isn't SPD. I am dreading it starting up. But so far it seems to have stayed away.

Ginger The scan sounds very exciting!! I can't wait for my 4d one.

I fell over yesterday and I have twisted my ankle. Its really really painful and I am struggling to get about the house without a lot of moaning and occasional swearword. Sad

My GTT came back as normal!! I think I will still need to have a growth scan or 2 but I might have a nice average size babyGrin

Rugbylovingmum · 26/03/2012 15:14

Hi all,

Ginger - enjoy the scan

Ses - lots of SPD sympathy from me, I'm suffering too mostly at night. It isn't fun and I'm dying for a really good nights sleep but we don't have long to go Grin.

BB - do you want to come over and do my garden too Wink. I'm trying to get it tidy ready for my peas, tomatoes, strawberries etc but it's very slow going. What are you planning to grow?

Cant - so so so happy to hear that your DH is feeling better and home life is much better (I won't comment on the bedroom - the SPD, sore hips and constant indigestion have pretty much killed the bedroom mood and DP has more or less moved into the spare room so that at least one of us gets some sleep Sad. So different from my last pregnancy ).

As you can probably guess from my comments above I'm finding this pregnancy much harder than with DD and really looking forward to it being over - just 7 weeks left hooray Grin. The nesting mood is seriously setting in too and I've suddenly got a huge list of jobs I want to get done in the next 2 weeks before my brother and his family visit:

Paint playroom, buy some new shelves/storage, put up corkboard for DDs paintings, sort out the toys and have a tidy.
Buy new drawers for DCs room then sort out all the baby clothes etc and put in room
Pack hospital bag
Look out and clean the moses basket bedding
Get pram out of storage and give it a clean
Buy new changing bag as mine has big velcro strips that keep catching my clothes so they all bobble
Buy last few baby bits - changing mat, nappies etc
Have a big general clear out to get rid of some of our clutter and make some space
Get garden tidy and start planting veggies

I guess some of it could wait but I just want everything done, organised and tidy NOW Blush. Luckily FIL is coming to help with the painting and sorting the garden out next week but I'm just so frustrated that I can't do as much as I want to myself. After just an hour of gardening I'm shattered and my hips ache - bloody pregnancy hormones!

In addition DD has been asking to have her nappy off at home in the afternoon/evening and has been doing very well with using the potty so I've decided to just go for it with the potty training while she is interested Hmm. Day 1 today and so far 1 accident at toddler group but 2 wee's and 1 poo on potty at home. We'll see how she does at home/garden/park tomorrow and then it's nursery on Weds. I think she'll find it hard when there are distractions but nursery seem okay with it (just said to bring loads of spare clothes) and I guess the only way for her to learn is to go for it. What do you think???

Rugbylovingmum · 26/03/2012 15:20

Oops sorry for huge ramble and x-posts

Kayz - ouch! Hope the ankle gets better soon. Yah for good GTT results.

Ses - hope the new sharp pains go away soon whether they are SPD or movement related. When do you see the midwife again?

tinkhassprung · 26/03/2012 16:07

cant - so glad all much better Grin

rugby - sounds like u r in full nesting mode Wink

ses - poor u

all gd here

AllthatshewantsisanotherBBaby · 26/03/2012 19:04

Cant - glad all is getting better
Ses - hope you are feeling better
Kayz - yeeeouch! Hope u are feeling better

Rugby - i am not nesting but the garden has set off a chain reaction type slightly ocd need to clean! Did the sorting today, deep clean and scrub tomorrow then i will be a happy bunny! We are growing beetroot, peas, toms, shallots, spring onions, cucumbers, lettuce, potatoes, carrots, spinach, paprika, bell peppers...The list goes on haha, its DPs domain so id be no use I'm afraid, i just cook it!

DS had a nasty fall today, got to en of slide landed on feet but then went from feet to head (iyswim?) on the newly laid slabs... Grazed / bloodied forehead nose everything i thought he had broken his nose the poor fella! Suffice to say the slide is now sold, being replaced with a sand / water table!! Honestly world is out to get me at the moment haha!

Work situation is bothering me atm, ive got a sinking feeling Sad just want it over with!

Anyway hope you are all well wave to anyone ive missed

Kayzr · 27/03/2012 17:05

BB I want your enthusiasm!! But then we only have a tiny little paved yard really. I hope work sorts out soon.

DPs Gran is very very ill. She is in hospital and is asleep pretty much all the time. She happily tells anyone that she is ready to die now. She is in her mid 90s so has been alive a very long time. So we have cancelled trip to Portsmouth and are going to stay in PILs. We'd like to be able to see her if possible, if she holds out for that long.

DP is a bit upset that she says she is ready to die ASAP so she wont meet the baby. But at the same time it would be nice if she wasn't ill anymore.

We got the car seat today for £80 instead of £130 as Babies R Us have a sale on. Very pleased with that.

Hope everyone is ok.

AllthatshewantsisanotherBBaby · 27/03/2012 20:09

Thanks kayz it will be lovely when its done, its a good distraction! Tomorrow is the start of the process with work im scared and quite hurt by the way its been handled Sad

Shame portsmouth cancelled i do hope DPs nan holds out a while. If you do make it down saarf' at a later date we will have to meet would be lovely to meet you all and squidge DD

Tink are you around? Concerned abt you

Kayzr · 27/03/2012 20:11

We're hoping to go to Bristol in August to see the balloon festival thing. I will have to make DP detour to Portsmouth for cuddles Grin

Tink, hope you're ok sweetie! Smile

AllthatshewantsisanotherBBaby · 27/03/2012 20:21

Ohhh yes its nice here when the sun is shining and the chavs are behaving!! Haha!

Gingerbreadlatte · 27/03/2012 20:46

Hello

Kayz- sorry to hear about DPs gran. My grandad was over 100 when he died last year and I went to see him in hospital and kept saying he wanted to die. Its hard to take but understandable. Felt like a release for him when it finally happened. Its a stressful time though - my thoughts are with you and DP...

BB- your veg patch is good! we failed on cucumber last year, nothing happened! which was suprising given how easy courgettes are... We are thinking of having a semi lazy fallow year this year, though might do some spuds and onions.

Hello to everyone else :)

tinkhassprung · 28/03/2012 08:11

hi kay and bb -

SESthebrave · 28/03/2012 08:42

Morning all :)

tink - I really feel for you in the situation you're in and also after seeing some of the comments on your other thread!
Don't worry about not telling us about the thread though, you're not obliged to tell us everything that is going on! I think when some of us saw it though, we were a bit concerned for you.
I'm really glad you managed to talk to DH last night and you seem very clear in your thinking about the way forward - good for you!
We are hear to listen and not judge whenever you need though :)

Kayz - sorry to hear about your DP's gran. Not easy to know what is for the best but I hope whatever that is, happens IYKWIM.

BB - your veg patch sounds great! We have one too but haven't started planting it up yet this year. DH says he and DS are going to start with potatoes at the weekend. Last year we also had carrots, parsnips, lettuce and tomatoes.

Rugby - pregnancy is much harder second time round isn't it! I think my pregnancy itself is fairly similar it's just having to chase after the toddler at the same time!

Ginger - what day is your scan this week?

Diege - if you're lurking, was it this week you're back at work? Hope all going well.

Hello everyone else!

Feeling a bit better thank goodness. I think the iron and folic acid tablets have kicked in and I've also made some adjustments to my seat in the car and added cushions / pillows for sofa and bed! Still not moving great but much better and much less pain!

Lovely day again here and I get to spend it with DS who is currently bringing all his toys from the playroom into the living room Hmm

tinkhassprung · 28/03/2012 09:35

ses - thankyou so much
kay - yah for car seat

Gingerbreadlatte · 28/03/2012 13:04

Afternoon all

Tink- definately no need to justify why you didnt tell us. Just hope you are ok. Chat here any time.... Im always avoiding work lurking. ;)
FWIW, I think you are amazing for having the courage to face it and discuss it at length. Not sure i'd be so brave....

Ses- glad things are improved with cushions. I am making note. I had bad SPD last time and Im already feeling it 8wks. Im trying hard to prevent or delay but its hard.... Enjoy your day with DS :)

Kayz- hope you are enjoying DP ? and hope his gran is ok today.

BB- how are you today?

Rugby- hello, great to hear from you. Sorry you are struggling a bit with your final stages.....

Scan this week is on Friday. Am really quite nervous... after a long time of being shocked/scared about actually getting a BFP, Im now quite attached to said bfp... :) I know I wont be able to look at the screen until I get the OK look from DH.... though this time I will probably more concerned with not weeing or puking over the couch. They want me to drink 1.5L of water between 7.15 and 8.15am..... :-S

Hi to the AWOL people; Diege, Cant, Bumps and everyone else

ps- anyone remember cosmo? I spotted her on a hyperemesis thread, looks like she is having a 2nd one!

Kayzr · 28/03/2012 21:17

Ginger - DP's gran appears to be getting better! DP has been on the phone to his mum and yesterday his Gran had no idea who his Mum was and today it's been like normal. It is a bit of a standing joke that she is about to die and then gets better. MIL said that they were told by a Dr that his Gran would never meet DP. He is 27 this year Grin

I remember Cosmo!! Thats very nice to hear.

AllthatshewantsisanotherBBaby · 29/03/2012 19:18

Hey all

Kayz good news about gran!

Ses & Ginger glad you are getting on well, my patch is shaping up well garden is being finished this weekend, with all planting happening too, cant wait for finished result!

Work situation still looming, its stressing me to the point of coming to its conclusion next wed.. Dads anniversary.. At least irony isnt wasted on me! I flip flop between not caring (as theres nothing more i can do) and worrying about money the situation!

At least the sun is shining!! We have a nice chilled weekend ahead so hopefully that will help, may even have some Wine

tink how are things? I enjoying buying and it is a hard habit to break!

Kayzr · 29/03/2012 20:47

I had my 28 week appointment today. I'm measuring 30cm which is a bit of a worry. I'm hoping by the time I see MW at 31 weeks it will have all evened out.

Baby was transverse but still plenty of time for her to budge.

Gingerbreadlatte · 30/03/2012 10:54

Morning all

BB- sorry the work thing is making your worried. Hope you can enjoyed your chilled weekend and put it to the back of your mind- I know that is easier said that done though. Hope its nice and sunny this w/e!

Kayz- glad the appt went ok, was the MW concerend about the extra 2cm? dont they vary a bit at this stage or am i imagining that bit? I meant to ask, are you getting a growth scan closer to your due date anyway ? I've been told I will have to see the consultant re size of the SG... and may also need extra scans... Not mention the GTTs that are looming.... Hmm

Went for my early scan this morning. At 9wks, everything was normal- and there is only one in there. It was moving around a lot and waving its limbs at us! Could see the hb fluttering away.... feels like massive relief. I was begining to wonder if I'd imagined the whole thing!

Hi Tink, Ses, Rugby, Star, Diege, Bumps and everyone else!

Kayzr · 30/03/2012 11:09

Ginger, I will only have to have a growth scan and see consultant if I stay bigger. I have a 4d scan next weekend and I think they do a growth estimate there.

tinkhassprung · 30/03/2012 11:10

great news - kay and ginger with scans
all good here thankyou
yesterday had a meeting with the builder that is building our house
he took us to the site where it will be built they havent started it yet will be starting to build it in july
they have started abit of our garage that was exciting

Kayzr · 30/03/2012 11:14

Ooops ginger!! Meant to say yay for your scan!!!!!

Ds2 is screaming about going to see rabbits in pets at home.

SESthebrave · 30/03/2012 12:04

Ginger - Grin :)
Great news! Let the reality sink in woman - you are up-duffed :)

BB - must be very worrying about work. It's the time of not knowing like this that is almost worst. Fingers crossed whatever happens wont be awful. Is DA's face healing now?

Kayz - I was measuring 2cm ahead at my last appointment too. MW didn't seem bothered though. My next scan is 24th April but that's more to check position.

Has my end of year performance rating this morning and I got the exceed dating that I was hoping for. Very pleased :)

Gingerbreadlatte · 30/03/2012 12:52

Brilliant news Ses!! Grin Grin Grin Grin Grin well done!

SESthebrave · 30/03/2012 13:15

Thanks! Just realised all the typos in my last post though!

Out with the girls tonight so I can celebrate (even if in a sober way!)

Gingerbreadlatte · 30/03/2012 13:20

Didnt notice the typos Ses! then my brain is seriously fogged at the moment ;)

Enjoy your night out!
