BB - thinking of you today x

Happy birthday to Ginger's DD and Bumps' DD1

I am feeling officially rubbish today :(
Tired and emotional. Probably because it transpires I'm anaemic at the moment. Went to get my usual repeat prescription for thyroxine and attached were prescriptions for iron tablets and 5mg Folic acid tablets. No one has bothered to phone and tell me that my blood tests came back anaemic but I'm guessing that's why I've got the prescriptions and have been feeling rubbish.
Also things had gone quiet on DH's Dubai job but he told me Tuesday the job is still there and he's still keen. We're going to talk about it again tomorrow evening.

hellokittyrules · 22/03/2012 16:33

kay hope blood tests went ok

Thanks for all your thoughts my day has gone from bad to worse I've been placed under consultancy for redundancy. Sad fate certainly has a sick sense of humour

Kayzr · 22/03/2012 18:49

allgd here

AllthatshewantsisanotherBBaby · 24/03/2012 08:12

Hey all

Hope all are well.

Im slightly over my shock but im flicking from worried to angry as we do need my wage, and in paid quite well for what i do, id be unlikely to find the same pay in the sane job elsewhere.

It seems likely that I will be asked to do more hours. Part of me hates this as i love my time with DS i really adore him (I'm sure all parents do) but the other part says we need my job could do with the extra money etc. if i do end up doing another day I will push to get a mon as i want bank holidays, and as of jan (when ds gets funded nursery) my child care bill would go down, plus when we do eventually concieve another dc it would mean more mat pay and holiday.. There are positives its just not how i pictured things, im not great with change Sad
I think I will also be asked what over time i can do, im telling myself that over time would be ok, as it would be around dps shifts so would just be money straight in my pocket and ds would be with his dad so he would be happy. Im also thinking the more im without DS the more i will appreciate time with him?
Im basically using you guys as a sounding board! Of course ive not considered the fact tht i may go in an they may say full time or nothing to which id say bye in a heart beat! Ahhhh so much pressure!

Kayzr · 24/03/2012 16:36

DP is HOME!!!! GrinGrinGrin

SESthebrave · 25/03/2012 08:58

Morning all :)

Kayz - yay for DP being home! Not long til the wedding now either :)

BB - sorry to hear your job worries. Please feel free to use us as a sounding board. Your thoughts sound very reasoned. I would hope it would not be the case that they would ask you to do full time as employers are being encouraged to be more and more family friendly. Can I ask what you do?

Cant - good to hear from you. How's DH? Hope his change at work has helped.

tink - you're back as tink!

Not feeling quite so rubbish the last couple of days. Walking is getting increasingly painful though - especially first thing in the morning and in the evening. I guess it's an SPD thing? DS has started holding my hand to go down stairs in the morning to help me get down them!
31 weeks today so 5 weeks left at work!

The Dubai conversation didn't really happen as DH said he'd not heard from them in about a week so there wasn't much point in talking about it! I'm selfishly hoping this means it isn't going to be an option anyway. We will have to talk about it again at some point though, even if it's a theoretical conversation.

Anyway, today we're off for the day to Reading to see London Irish play Leicester Tigers on a family day through DH's work. Hopefully will be fun and hope you all have good days!

tinkhassprung · 25/03/2012 14:11

AllthatshewantsisanotherBBaby · 25/03/2012 17:32

Kayz GrinGrinGrin yay for dp and double yay for wedding!!

Ses defo an SPD thing i had it with DS mornings and eves were bad can only imagine with O to run after! I am in accounts but not very senior.. Have gotten head around 3 days now so hoping that will suffice!

Hi everyone else! Our garden is nearly finished and looking fab! This time next week it will be done completely, its so lovely to have a garden we can enjoy, and the veg patch is so handy too!

Hope you've all had a nice sunday

cantmummyhaveabreak · 25/03/2012 20:29

evning all :)

Ses- yes, all is v.good with DH and work now... the money has been a bit of a killer, but we have been paying my parents back a £200 each month since xmas for money we borrowed to afford the car when we needed it, so in may when we've payed them back we'll be in a much comfier place money-wise. And we're coping... just find the last few days before payday we have bare minimal for essentials and our allocated 'spends' have been eaten up at the weekends... but as i say, £200 is a lot of money over 4 weeks really, so it's extra spends/saving money seeing as we can cope on what we are doing now. Otherwise DH stopped his AD's on his own a few mths back now, i was worried it was a bit soon, but he's doing fab :) no mood swings, things in the bedroom are back on track too ;) (which is amazing after 3mths of nil) he's much less stressed when he gets home... it's just all positive really. I'm actually dreading him going back to store manager at some point in the future :S I personally think we'd benefit more from him staying as AM really, we can more than survive on his income now, next sept i'll be looking for a job to fit around the DC's school times (ideally something within school, not too proud to be a dinner lady me) which will boost our income again without childcare costs... and we;d get more weekends and evenings as a family still, when he's SM it's late hours, working on things at home, extra hours if it needs to be done... theres much less of that as AM as the SM currently does all that... i know it comes with an extra £400 a month, but we're loving being a family again and not just a one weekend a month family... but i'm sure whatever needs to be done will happen. :)

Right, have rambled on and missing dancing on ice... I DC's need to decorate boiled eggs tomorrow daytime urgh, last year i spent a whole day making them for them and they didn't get anything, just feel i'm wasting my time... shame i can't tell the kids we have ran out of eggs :(

Gingerbreadlatte · 26/03/2012 07:27

Morning all

Cant- good to see you here again :)

Ses- glad you are feeling a bit better and that the dubai discussion has gone quiet for now. Fingers crossed it lasts. Sorry for the pains, sounds very much like SPD. Hope it doesnt worsen further.

BB- sorry for the job issues, as Ses says, please use us here to discuss options if you want or just to have a rant.

Kayz- hurray for DP being home :)

8wks here, going for an early scan this week that I've arranged for re-assurance. I have days of feeling dreadful and others of feeling normal.... So weird. Will be good to do the scan!

better go, lots of work to catch up on.

byeee

SESthebrave · 26/03/2012 14:36

Cant - glad things are better with DH's job. IKWYM about a happy, contented DH being more important for the family than money!

Ginger - exciting to have that early scan booked!

Pains are worse today and I now have some quite sharp pains right down in my groin / vaginal area when I walk. Not sure if this is SPD related or the way baby is lying ( I think it's transverse at the moment from movements :( )
