trubble · 11/01/2012 19:58

Hi all. Just to let you know James Peter was born at 7.18 on Monday morning. All at bit speedy. Waters went at 11pm and contractions started at about 2. Got to the hospital at 5.30 to find I was fully dilated and he was 't hanging around!
Got home last night and have had a lovely day getting to know our little fella :)

supadupapupascupa · 11/01/2012 20:13

awwww, congratulations trubble xx

addictediam · 11/01/2012 20:13

congratulations trubble, sounds like it was all quick and fairly easy for you?! well done, and enjoy snuggling with him.

I need to ask a really embarrassing, personal, tmi, gross kind of question (when don?t you in pregnancy!)

Last night DH and I dtd (and as it seemed to trigger off strong cx today, I will be jumping him tonight!) all day today I have been losing lots of mucus. Usually after we?ve had sex (before pg and during) I lose about 1-2 desert spoons of 'him' and everything is normal. But today I have been losing 1-2 desert spoons of mucus every time I go to the toilet. Now me and DH haven?t had sex for...ages, I can?t remember the last time we did? So is it just because he had a lot stored up, or is it partly my plug coming out? I've been losing mucus for a while as well, but this is just so much more than normal. (No blood and I?m not concerned, just interested)

supadupapupascupa · 11/01/2012 20:31

i don't know addicted but don't they smell different?

addictediam · 11/01/2012 20:39

Blush didnt think about smelling it! its reduced alot now tho, just looks like a slug has crawled accross the toilet paper. (pregnancy is just so dignified isnt it! Grin)

supadupapupascupa · 11/01/2012 20:40

lol bleugh! i feel i know you so well Grin

supadupapupascupa · 11/01/2012 20:41

One Born Every Minute at 9pm ladies (for those of you who watch)

Oeisha · 11/01/2012 20:43

Go cakes and babycakes! Grin

Congratulations trubble! Thanks and welcome to James! Bear

addicted it could be your plug, but if it's clear/white there's a good chance it's not...MW said the plug would be more 'snotty' (stringy or jelly-like) and probably coloured, when I asked as I've been getting discharge, also some snotty-stringy stuff (which sounded more like plug, but she said it'd probably replenish). DH noticed I'm very gunky when he does the massage and I am noticeably gunkier post-sex.

shonnomanom · 11/01/2012 20:43

Oh good luck cakes onwards and outwards baby cakes!

missR hope everything goes smoothly for you x

spag and everyone else facing induction(including myself). I hope nature takes its course before induction gets started fx

trubble wow what a birthing story. How lovely to be getting cuddles from your little prince Thanks

The other day I had a mini rant at my mum about all the messages I had been getting. Not entirely sure but I think she had a word in certain directions as its been very quiet. Either that or people have been picking up on my 'dont speak to the whale' vibes.

Had a lovely afternoon out for lunch with dd and my folks. Very hot curry tickled the tummy a bit. Have been having some 'tightenings' but nothing of pattern so not sure if its going to progress into anything over night. Really really hope so as Friday is getting here too quickly and I dont want to be induced..

Hope everyone is well x

FrillyMilly · 11/01/2012 20:48

Congratulations trubble

Hopefully cakes is doing well and will be cuddling baby very soon

I've got really bad back ache. Paracetamol not touching it at all. Also feeling a bit wibbly. What if I can't do it? I know it's silly as I have a DC already but it was 24 hours. Built up slowly and was very calm. Keep hearing stories of fast second labours and scared it will happen too fast and I won't cope. Why am I thinking like this? I'm normally sensible.

shonnomanom · 11/01/2012 21:12

salad Iv added you to the STATS LIST as requested.
Have also amended it to add baby trubbled
Think its going to be a busy weekend for baby updates, a few of us are booked for inductions on Friday.

shonnomanom · 11/01/2012 21:15

frilly iv had the same thinking quite a few times. Especially because my first was so 'textbook' as the mw and consultant put it. It doesnt help that iv since realised that I cant really remember much of that day at all. Also fear of the unknown as well.
Just remember the reward, keep your eyes firmly on the prize!

peanuts777 · 11/01/2012 21:16

Good luck to everyone in labour. I keep refreshing the screen for updates!

I wish somebody would ask if I had had the baby or,text me..... I haven't heard from my MIL since NYE, which is pretty crap considering that she knows what a rough time we're having with the babe.

I had my last scan with Nicholaides today before ELCS on Wednesday and am feeling really panicked again Sad, so I'm going to lurk in the background and check in on the lucky labouring ladies but probably not post much as I don't want to bring a downer on anything.
But have not disappeared or forgotten you........

fishandlilacs · 11/01/2012 21:21

Comon babycakes woohoo. Rooting for you xx

congrats trubble. he looks very cute in the pics.

frilly I have serious, back ache too it sucks :( i am trying use birthball as muich as poss but it really seems to put a strain on my back.

Peanuts don't be blue, you'll be great lovely. It's normal to panic. I am too xxx

trubble · 11/01/2012 21:27

Was quick but not so plain sailing. After JP arriving without any drugs I had to have a spinal for a third degree tear. Swings and roundabouts.

Dh now going camera crazy and also spoiling us rotten. Just had fab supper of all the yummy things I've not been able to eat. Don't worry ladies it won't be long for you all x

ParsleyLion1 · 11/01/2012 21:44

Congrats trubble Thanks welcome to James Grin

It's ok to panic a bit peanut we're all getting to the emotional stage. You've got plenty of time for it to pass before Wednesday.

ghosteditor · 11/01/2012 22:03

Congrats trubble!

Hope everyone is doing ok today - have missed most of the thread as i've only just got in. V v tired!

Am now watching OBEM [wibble] with a curiously friendly feline on my lap - hope she's sensing something I'm not!

BigHotMama · 11/01/2012 22:27

Congratulations trubble sounds like your birth was quite positive enjoy snuggling with your little man Thanks

It is the not knowing when or how our little ones will eventually arrive that makes me feel anxious. My smurf feels like it is expanding into my chest at moment feels really high up and causing me retched heartburn. Maybe it's become disengaged? Hearing some really bizarre sounds from bump today.

Good luck to ladies in labour and look forward to hearing some news soon!

ghosteditor · 11/01/2012 22:31

Oh my word, anyone who wants a water birth needs to watch OBEM - am weeping at the loveliness!

xshevix · 11/01/2012 22:35

Is any one watching how to be a good mother? Felt a bit sick about the placenta but that's just me! I don't like any raw meat.

Baby is having a full on wriggling fit tonight and putting loads of pressure down there!

Hope everyones doing okay :)

aBundanceOfTime · 11/01/2012 22:36
