That fat lady's not screeching yet, Bugsy, so it might just be a bit of post-sechs goo. Remember - brown isn't a new bleed so that's a very good sign. Regardless, I'm glad you've decided to stay home. What about trying to move your scan up to this afternoon? I'm so sorry for this extra stress in what is already a stress-filled time.

(welcome back Binocs - glad you had a lovely holiday)

Oh bugs thank goodness for that I have had my heart in my mouth all morning waiting for your update. I am so pleased. Off to check the other fred for your update there. You must be so relieved and over the moon! yay!!!!!!!

LauraPalmerish · 26/06/2012 11:00

Ours looked like a pulsating grub. Bee-u-to-ful!

So, I wanted to wait to post this until we got a happy confirmation about Bugs' Slug, but I've sat down and looked at me and TOM's sechs dates from last month and the absolute earliest we could've conceived was on May 19th. We did the sechs on the 19th and the 20th but were totally drunk on he 20th and I'm almost certain that was the lucky one! Based on previous months of opks I ov around day 20 of my cycle, which in May fell on the 21st. So it's most likely that we conceived on May 20th or 21st, which means that (drum roll please) I'm only 7 weeks pg today just like the nurse suggested at our early scan Blush

This means I've lost a week of my count up to the 12 week marker, but it's quite exciting to contemplate the exact sechs-session that did the deed!

Just received a strange and worrying message from the GP regarding a letter their practice received from a consultant (?) and wants to book me an appointment immediately. I'm totally freaked out. SadAngrySad

LauraPalmerish · 26/06/2012 17:26

Okay, I'm total numpty. TOM reminded me that there's no new information the consultant would have that we don't already know and that it's probably in reference to my question about taking aspirin that my GP was going to field to the consultant! Blush

Hope all is well with everyone!

Just a quick post from my phone on a very dodgy 3G connection from the ae end of nowhere, Norfolk, to say a massive big YAY to bugsy baybee heartbeat :)

Will be back to normal service next week, today we are pregnant indeed!

LauraPalmerish · 26/06/2012 20:02

So. I spoke with my GP and I've got some decisions to make but I'm really confused. The recurrent-MC consultant is offering me progesterone (suppositories!), to take through week 12 as a reassurance against another MC. They're also taking my 10 week antenatal bloods early to run extra tests to check for potential clotting issues. The blood tests are straight forward, but I'm not sure of what I should do regarding the progesterone?

Any thoughts or experiences with the progesterone?

I've got an attitude of 'if it ain't broke, don't fix it'. We've had a good scan, seen a healthy heartbeat. But we saw the heartbeat with our first pg and still it ended badly, so I want to give this little grublet every chance possible if I do have some as-of-yet undiagnosed recurrent MC issue.

What to do, what to do?

definitely take it. it won't hurt and it might help. I think the docs have two schools of thought about progesterone supplements but since yours has offered it to you, take it.

I got diffed just after my recurrent mc testing started and they gave me the drucks anyway without waiting for a second test on the clotting thingummyjig.

FriendofDorothy · 28/06/2012 07:53

Morning peeps, I will probably be incommunicado for a few days as I am off to Sark Folk Festival. I am obscenely excited about it!

So happy, just saw one of my oldest & dearest friends who had a mc in Feb and she is pregnant again, due in Jan. I cried. It was the only thing making me sad in my pregnancy to think that she had lost hers.

She is such a nice person that she said she felt like this was the right way round as she knew how long we'd been trying and she already has a ds so she wanted me to be pg first.
