zoe ow, hope you feel better very, very soon! But it is great they are now keeping an eye on you and you know what is going on!

This third trimester has not been an easy one, has it ladies? Here is hoping for a more relaxed third trimester from now on!!!!

addictediam · 01/12/2011 17:59

Fish it took just over 2 weeks for me, then you have to send off the forms again and last time that took 3 weeks for me (I sent them off last week before last and am still waiting) they don't send back the matb1 but i think you can ask your mw for another one if you need it hth

mz Ouchies! BV was one of their thoughs when I had the thrush attack, so I've read up on it! I hope Ame stays in 'til the infection clears.

fish I hope your Grandad's health improves!

fryn your DH isn't secretly a closet librarian is he? As a breed, we're all a bit, erm, "unstable" like that. Check whether your non-fiction's in Dewey order on your shelves (mine is). If he's s proper in-depth geek on a topic them it might well be in LoC as for some topics it fits better...and if it is, get him help. Wink

So, consultant's discharged me back to midwife care...

.... it's very sweet, but Gizzard's just come in the catflap very pleased with himself, looking for Bo. Nipped back in to the conservatory and brought in a mouse...dead one, but . DH is unbelievably squeemish so I had to glove up, bag up and dispose of mousey...
...and now Gizzard's back out again. He's got another 30mins or so of roaming before the catflap gets locked and I just pray he doesn't bring another one. Already disinfected the floors where mousey was. Was hoping me praising him and showing him fuss then, DH distracting him with toy mice might help, but it doesn't seem to have. But bless, he was sooo pleased!

...turns out she had a similar episode (again a lot more painful than labour) in her 1st pregnancy and with DC2 she just took lactulose from about 12wks as her OBGYN said it wasn't worth the hassle! Can't help but agree!

Abi was head down again, back on left so Grin, but she doesn't half flip about a lot...and poke her feet out my right side...

redheadbedhead · 01/12/2011 18:19

fish - could you change to turkeyandlilacs? or fishandholly? sommink like that??

i've got no ideas about my name either but it's obviously got to be something about rednosed reindeers or something....maybe rednosedbedhead.... sounds a bit weird....

i only sent off my maternity allowance forms this morning ooops.... I wanted to start maternity leave on the 19th dec so I'm leaving a bit late i guess. OH WELL. this is why I am horrified at all this spreadsheet talk, I am the LEAST organised person in the WORLD. Grin

but i don't care because..... i have my christmas tree up!!!!!! yay!!!! looks gorgeous and my house is really feeling like my little nest Grin

sorry to all those with stretch marks and bum sores Sad - and zoe wowsers what a pile of bad luck. Hope you get it all sorted and Ame escapes any problems. x

addictediam · 01/12/2011 18:28

Red the 2nd lot of forms you cant send off until you have started mat leave, but then they back date the pay to the date you say you started.

woohoo, my DH has come home from work having won £130 quid in "love to shop" vouchers. It's about bloody time we had some luck.

He has booked a day off tmrw to come to hospital with me and were having lunch at cafe rouge. Mind you we only have an hour before I finish my scan and I have to go to work tmrw and the christmas fayre is on in town. The stalls are usually right outside there and you can never park!

Will spend the rest on nappies, baby bits and stuff for xmas probably. So chuffed!

Oeisha · 01/12/2011 19:03

congrats fish...how's about "MerryFishmas"?

addictediam · 01/12/2011 19:09

Yea! Well done fish's dh

Another hospital bag item for anyone thats asthmatic, diabetic, on anti d's etc don't forget to put at least a days worth of meds in your bag. I had awful problems trying to get an inhaler during an overnight stay and they wouldnt let dh bring one in as it was outside visiting hours and may disrupt the other patients Hmm

Well done mr fishGrin

Oeisha · 01/12/2011 22:01

Anyone with insomnia tonight, try this thread.
Woman who can feel a large bulge, has been trickling water (though she thinks weeing, could be right) and had a very speedy delivery 1st time round. MW has indicated she's be surprised if baby isn't here in the wee hours. Only one in house and she's got in the bath (eeek!)...luckily DH is due home soon any minute, but doesn't know what'a happening!
EEEK!
I'm off to bed. NN

supadupaturkeystupour · 01/12/2011 22:11

Hope everyone sleeps ok tonight Smile I've had a few rubbish nights.

Got the consultants tomorrow about anesthetic (odd as i had an epidural with DS no problem, but heyho it's all extra care)

Where most of the movement is, is that normally the feet? If so baby might have turned head down Grin. But it does feel like a solid lump. And i can't feel the 'kicking' in my lower pelvis like i did the day of the last scan which showed she was breech......

shonnomanom · 01/12/2011 22:16

Well done mr fish! and hope your GDad improves

Zoe Glad you have answers now and fx baby stays put and meds work

FX oeisha that Abi keeps her head down

Its bloody freezing here tonight! I actually had to use de-icer on my car when leaving the village christmas fair. I bashed my hip on the car thanks to the ice. Its a bit achey, hope its not too bad in the morning

shonnomanom · 01/12/2011 22:19

sorry supa xpost.
My bubs is breach. I have a large hard lump sticking out the top of my belly aka the head and get lots of frequent taps down in the pelvis. Hope that helps you some what...

ghosteditor · 01/12/2011 22:21

oeisha I'm watching that thread too! Love a good labour thread Grin

MakesXmasCakesWhenStressed · 02/12/2011 05:07

Fryn and Oeisha - try http://www.spacejock.com/BookDB.html this free software and some of the freeware on the rest of his site. That link is to a free book database builder and he has programmes that let you keep track of who you've lent books to and when they're due back and all sorts - brilliant for geeky book addicts!

Oh - and thanks for the link Oeisha - been awake since 3 and could do with something to read! :)

MakesXmasCakesWhenStressed · 02/12/2011 05:08

That link again to the free software...

shonnomanom · 02/12/2011 07:33

Oh I was really hoping to get some baby news this morning! ! Going to to be peeking on that thread all morning...

Wormshuffler · 02/12/2011 08:04

Well I thought I was in labour last night!! an hour of regular bad pains at the top of my bump got me stressing and thinking I would have to knock the neighbours up to watch the kids!!
I eventually got up and wandered around in full on panic mode putting toiletries in my bag before doing some thunderous farts bottom burps and then feeling absolutely fine!! Blush

Quite a few breech babies here, mine had been breech but the mw yesterday reckoned it was head down but back to back............still feels breech to me. I also have a head shaped hard lump nestled into my right ribs.

I'm off to check out that thread too, I love a good labour thread, I have also been stalking watching the november and december anti-natal threads with interest too. I can't wait til we all start popping!

Have a nice friday girlies,

Moobee · 02/12/2011 09:25

It's my last day in work today! :) Woohoo! I could do with a slight change in tempo - trying to renovate house and manage a full time job (with no maternity replacement in place yet) has been a little too busy.

I think there's a few of us starting maternity leave today aren't there?

I was following that thread last night too oeisha, it was quite nail biting when she got in the bath! Right off to read the rest...

Oeisha · 02/12/2011 10:07

worm try stroking the "head bump". Abi pushes her botty out for a stroke often and I can often then feel a leggy!!! And ehehehe re: pains,. Though you have my sympathies. Bowel pains during pregnancy are about 400x worse than non-pg. Though if you keep getting upper-bump pains, especially if you get a headache, and especially if they're majority round your liver, report it to MW - it's where pre-eclampsia pain usually manifests for some reason. They kept jabbing my liver in hospital and saying "it's not here is it..." and I asked why...as it wasn't.

So, postie didn't come 'til 2 yesterday, leaving a failiure to deliver red card thingy, and she turned up at 9.30 today with another parcel. I now have to go in to town after my shower to collect the parcel....which she could have just delivered with this mornings had they had any common sense...

Ah well, only a metric feck ton of tidying to do today in prep for an overnight guest, ILs arriving tomorrow to help with nursery and then my JL delivery on Monday! Grin

Oh, for anyone looking for a giggly thread... Has My Fridge Found Religion? (with incidental Monty Python "Every Sperm Is Sacred" playing on iPlayer for me right now).

Oeisha · 02/12/2011 10:08

Oh, and have a lovely day Moobee and any others facing their last day! Grin

Oeisha · 02/12/2011 10:12

*not iPlayer...ruddy hell I need more than 5h sleep. itunes.

shonnomanom · 02/12/2011 10:17

Happy Last Day at Work Moobee and others finishing today!!!

Worm Iv been peeking on those threads too Smile Glad you werent in labour last night aand just needed to blow a gale instead.

Im really not staying on my feet very well these days. After last nights car/ice fiasco which left me stiff in the right hip, this morning I slipped in the shower and have jiggerred the left hip. Think its fate that iv got physio this afternoon Hmm

Hope you all have a happy friday!!!

Oh Christmas smilies!! Xmas Grin Xmas Grin

MakesXmasCakesWhenStressed · 02/12/2011 11:45

ParsleyLion1 · 02/12/2011 12:59

Not yet cakes but my step-sister advised that it is only a matter of time....

Still watching that thread....
