Oh debs!
When are you next due to see him?

redheadbedhead · 30/11/2011 18:13

debs really??? that sounds totally shitty. Are you ok? How likely do you think that is? Sad where are you based and have you got friends and family around?

welcome frilly Smile

oh yeah parsley that is EXACTLY what i want for my babba when he comes out. Brilliant. I have a very similar one from Mothercare on my wishlist this xmas! hoping someone will get it for me, but not my DH because he has a really weird thing about clothes with ears - hates them. Which is unfortunate because I LOVE THEM. So in that I have to carry this baby around for 9 months, I get the casting vote and therefore the baby gets to wear things with ears heh heh heh!!! Grin

ParsleyLion1 · 30/11/2011 18:20

I haven't shown it to OH yet red it's going straight in the hospital bag - he won't notice the ears until it is far too late.....

supadupapupascupa · 30/11/2011 18:24

oh i have an aversion to ears on stuff too...i think it's a bit....weird.....
but then i don't 'do' disney clothes and kids stuff either, it's all overpriced and i refuse.

crawls back into cave

fishandlilacs · 30/11/2011 18:28

debs Oh no, whats happened now? Bloody men.

I have been out all day with DD at the local countryside centre with my best mates and her best mates, great day. The only trouble is she had a massive paddy when it was time to go. I wouldn't mind so much but we'd already stayed almost 2 hours longer than i'd wanted to, she decided to take herself off and hide under the slide in a strop, it was dark by then in the park ffs, I couldn't see her and there was a bitter wind blowing and theres me almost 8 months pregnant shouting her and trying to find her on the rough ground in the dark. I was STEAMING from the ears I was so cross. I wasn't very adult about it and frog marched her to the car.
I really hate time to go from places we always have a performance. I have tried all the cuddles, 10 minute warnings of going in a minute, persuausion and bribery. Everything but it's everytime! I'm afraid she got put in her bedroom when we got home and i'm refusing to deal with her for bedtime tonight. DH is in charge, im too angry.

ParsleyLion1 · 30/11/2011 18:28

I'm with you on the Disney stuff supa but a sucker for ears I'm afraid.

in fact I want to dress baby up as a tiger secretly but haven't got the nerve

Oeisha · 30/11/2011 18:40

Oh! I love that snowsuit too Parsley but to my shame (taking into accoutn I get staff discount with LJ and mild pangs of guilt buying from elsewhere) I went for a pramsuit from Next instead....for now. Still paranoid She's gonna have massively long legs, so am gonna wait and see and then go mental and buy lots of stuff with ears I'll get more stuff.
Not a Disney fan here.

Moobee · 30/11/2011 18:40

Oh Debs, really sorry to hear that, I second redhead about friends and family - have you got any nearby?

ghosteditor · 30/11/2011 18:48

debs - hugs. You shouldn't have to be dealing with all of that right now Sad

green that's so exciting! I haven't had an email yet but am keeping my fx!

cakes I second the opinion that you'll be fine unless you rub yourself all over the rashy baby Wink I totally sympathise though - it's easy to worry! I was awake last night for hours and had headache quite badly - MW had told me to go to hospital if I had any headaches/flashing lights etc. I knew it was just an ordinary headache but at 4am it made me quite worried. 2 paracetamol got rid of it though so must be fine Smile

Sorry to hear about the proliferation of HBs!

Have been training my maternity cover person today; it finally seems real!

ParsleyLion1 · 30/11/2011 18:52

That's not good fish not suprised you're angry. There aren't many options left once it gets dark and cold.

oeisha is it furry? it looks like fleece on the website Confused

supadupapupascupa · 30/11/2011 18:59

I finished sorting through the baby clothes today. I now have 6 carrier bags full of clothes sorted by back length. So one bag for 30cm, 32cm, 34cm, 36cm, 38cm and 40cm. It is bonkers how much the brands differ!!!For example I have the same supermarket, same size with 3 differing back lengths!!!!

i am an accountant and anal, can you tell? - need to go back to work

also sorted through the hats, bibs, mitts etc bag too. I also logged it all on a spreadsheet :-) so i can see whether a brand is 'big' or 'small' and identify the gaps.

ahhhhhhh, I just feel so clean now it's done

fishandlilacs · 30/11/2011 19:05

supa can I just say that a spreadsheet of baby clothes-I don't know if I should be admiring you or bemused :)

supadupapupascupa · 30/11/2011 19:05

aahh but you see, i am not crazy because i don't do ears on babies Wink

GiraffeAHolic · 30/11/2011 19:08

Spreadsheeting hats was a waste of time if your baby has no ears, surely they'll just fall straight down over his/her eyes Grin

Oeisha · 30/11/2011 19:10

It's fleecey... parsley. Err, I think that's the right one. Maybe it's this one...makes more sense as I can sort of see the stars on this one... Frikkin useless website.

MakesXmasCakesWhenStressed · 30/11/2011 19:11

lalala I can't hear you!

fishandlilacs · 30/11/2011 19:16

Did someone on here say they had ordered the heated airer, but it was horrendously delayed? DH has just given me permission Hmm to buy it (it's him paying for it for I guess thats fair) but is there any point of it's not coming til feb? I may just wait and see if it's in the summer sale for next autumn!

MakesXmasCakesWhenStressed · 30/11/2011 19:19

I ordered one last week, due back in on 2nd Jan apparently.

ghosteditor · 30/11/2011 19:22

Love the festive name change cakes! Grin

ParsleyLion1 · 30/11/2011 19:23

lol Giraffe that really did make me laugh out loud!

supa I love a good spreadsheet myself but I'm not sure I would go that far!

MakesXmasCakesWhenStressed · 30/11/2011 19:29

Thanks ghost - any ideas for yours?

ParsleyLion1 · 30/11/2011 19:31

That's good value Oeisha - given the length of Abi's legs in the scan I'd be inclined to wait a bit as well... she might be a 2 piece girl.

redheadbedhead · 30/11/2011 19:54

jesus christ this thread made me laugh out loud twice, once for imagining babies without ears (probably incredibly offensive to someone on MN who has a baby without ears) and secondly for supa DOING A SPREADSHEET OF BABIES CLOTHES!!!!!!!!!! oh my goodness!!!!! and you think ears on hats are weird????

parsley me and you are on the same wavelength. I hate disney stuff and overpriced kids rubbish but I do like a little pair of ears on a baby's hat... and a tiger would be great but I also have a desire to dress my baby up as a little bear...or a beeeeee

this is the suit I want to get...

ParsleyLion1 · 30/11/2011 20:02

I like that one red it looks a bit bearish as well :o
