Morning all,
and welcome crosshair-I forgot to wave yesterday-very welcome to the thread. www.nhs.uk/planners/pregnancycareplanner/pages/birthplan.aspx?WT.mc_id=070906 this website here has an online birth plan that you can download and fill in. My birth plan never even made it to the delivery ward last time, the folder got lost from where i was induced on prenatal to moving up to delivery, but it makes you feel like youre doing something! My consultant has written my birth plan on my notes this time and it's very simple:
VBAC with a C section agreed :
should labour not progress (4 hour test period for dilation if not satisfactory progress perform c section)
First sings of feotal distress perform c section
First sings of maternal exhaustion perfom c section
if labour hasn't started by 18/01/12 EMCS
Re perineal massage-it's good to start early but as this is my second I wasn't too worried. TBH it's only been a few days since the final decison was made as to whether my poor fanjo would be involved in delivery at all so that why I hadn't bothered. DH will happily do it, normally the words oily + bits would get him in a bit of a wriggle, but it's very unsexy and should actually stingy hurt a bit if youre doing it right.
My friend finally had her baby girl this morning, 8lb13oz natural birth at 4.32 am :) yays. Two weeks of latent labour, poor woman!
parsley i'm glad youre out my love-rest up xx
I'm lacking in stamina today, i have bought some shelving from homebase to sort out my understairs cupboard but i cant get going. Stupid thing is if i do do it then there enough room in there to store the pushchair which would be great. But after changing the beds and doing the laundry this morning I have run out of steam.
I feel like a jam doughnut, shame I haven't got any.
