Eek not good to have a scare, glad you're ok cakes. get se sleep now.

oeisha that sounds horrid, poor you. I second moving to the spare room as a last resort - it has worked for me on those nights where you just can't go back to sleep.

I'm doing pretty well, but v tired after the week I've had - I'm really run down with swollen glands in my face and neck, sore wisdom teeth, ulcers, and cracked lips - eating is v painful but of course I'm still managing it Wink DH is around a lot and being thoroughly lovely though Smile

Mulledbee · 04/12/2011 09:50

Glad all is ok Cakes.

Addicted !! When are you due? Are they regular? Deep breaths and keep us updated. Hope you're ok.

GhosteditorOfChristmasPast · 04/12/2011 09:53

addicted I had that a few weeks ago (for four days, with backache too) but fortunately was scheduled to see the MW anyway. She seemed vaguely concerned but didn't do an internal, and said if the pattern became regular with decreasing intervals then I should go get checked out. Are you counting the gaps/pattern? Hope all's ok

shonnomanom · 04/12/2011 09:55

Glad its not PE cakes, make sure you get plenty of rest x

Had a rough night here due to a horrible cold, sore foot due to a kitchen incident and dp coming home at 3am with a bee in his bonnet. Lazy day for me today.

In other news: we have snow on the hills. Just hope it stays there!

MakesXmasCakesWhenStressed · 04/12/2011 09:56

Addicted - keeping fingers crossed for you - how many weeks are you now? Where's that darn stats list gone?

Ghost - thanks. Bit scary. Bunch of MNers have advised me to be pushy follow up with the HCPs if the symptoms persist, so not off the hook yet, but we'll see. Sorry to hear you're so run down - are you taking zinc supplements? Try and find some elderberry tincture or cordial too if you can, it's very good for supporting the immune system. Failing that I'll give you a bottle of my homemade stuff next time I see you. Take it easy.

GhosteditorOfChristmasPast · 04/12/2011 09:56

Oh and in other news: heated airer w00t! GrinGrinGrin

MakesXmasCakesWhenStressed · 04/12/2011 09:57

Ooh - jealous - have you test driven it yet?

shonnomanom · 04/12/2011 09:59

Sorry addicted, my phone hadn't refreshed so missed your post. Hope it is hb and they subside soon x

rednosedreindeerhead · 04/12/2011 10:10

ooooh addicted!!!!! hope you're ok!!!

ghost and anyone else that has it already, give us a review on the airer when you can!

cakes glad it's not PE.

my piglet has somehow worked out how to kick me both under the ribs and OVER THE TOP of the ribs. I don't really understand how this is possible...

GhosteditorOfChristmasPast · 04/12/2011 10:13

I think there's zinc in my pre-natal vitamin but I'll take a look, and thanks for the elderberry suggestion,

And yes we used it yesterday, was pretty awesome! DH doesn't want it left on if we go out though so will have to do timely washing cycles...

Which reminds me: must get a better smoke and carbon monoxide detector sorted out....

MakesXmasCakesWhenStressed · 04/12/2011 10:18

Overnight drying sessions then :)

Has anyone heard of HELLP? Apparently it's a non-standard form of PE which doesn;t manifest in BP checks and pee tests Am being scared by a well-informed MNer...

Oeisha · 04/12/2011 10:45

to all you guys suffering. cakes Have heard of HELLP. Think bloods are the only way to rule it out. If worried about it, go and get the bloods done!
addicted Hope you HBs are HBs and they're subsiding!

I did get some sleep. Very interrupted, but better since DH got up.

Now have a load of tidying to do. Joy. Hmm

MakesXmasCakesWhenStressed · 04/12/2011 10:48

I have MW appt tomorrow with bloods included. Would prefer to wait for that and not make enormous fuss today, but I feel really really sick and bleurgh :(

Oeisha · 04/12/2011 11:08

cakes It's honestly worth it. OK, it's probably nothing, but def push for an explanation if you're unhappy. It's not like they've given you a suitable explanation otherwise...

Mum2be79 · 04/12/2011 11:10

knittykitty yep. Afternoon nap 9around 4:30ish) did me the world of good. Missed the ending of the 'Mummy' though but I don't care! Went out for my Indian. Peanut 'loves' Indian and did me the world of good. I made sure I took plenty gaviscon before bed along with paracetemols. I did need a 'top up' at 1:30 but that's become the norm and again at 4:00. Woke this morning feeling slightly refreshed. Croak disappearing but headache back again after disappearing last night! Angry

Than you too mulledbee and mulledfishandfrostedlilacs and Oeisha and shonnomanom and Parsleylion1* for the advice. I am tempted to speak to my doctor regarding acid reflux as it is getting worse. I was not going to with only having 4 weeks left to go but then I thought it could be a possible 6 weeks if I go over?!?

GhosteditorOfChristmasPast · 04/12/2011 11:25

Mum2be I think you've reached the stage where bringing up the issue with you GP is perfectly acceptable - my pregnancy has been sooo much better since I was given Omeprazole. I only need to take it once every three days and I'm almost heartburn free all the time. 'Tis bliss. Hope you get sorted soon!

addictediam · 04/12/2011 11:57

Sorry not had a chance to catch up I'm 32wks and its every 5 minutes. the mw is very concerned so I'm going in, but I just think its a uti on account of forgetting to ring up for my results yesterday and get some antibiotics

mulledfishandfrostedlilacs · 04/12/2011 11:58

hello ladies.

Cakes i'm so glad you're ok and it's not PE

addicted where are yooo? U ok? I'm a bit worried because I think addicted is some way after me so a quite a few weeks early if baby is coming now-i'm sure you has more than 6 weeks to go.

mum2 glad youre feeling better too x

Sorry for the rough nights for the rest of you.

I am also having a feeling weird day today. I woke up with tummy spasms and pains in my back. They are regular every 10-15 mins and belly is tight and sore. I have a continuous period type ache in the background as well. Having never had a natural start to labour in my life I keep thinking "is this it?" My bits feel all puffy inside too, theres definately pressure inside. Feel like i'm sitting on a firm sponge or something.

GhosteditorOfChristmasPast · 04/12/2011 12:07

Sounds sensible to get checked out addicted - chances are it's something else but you need to get looked at just in case. Look after yourself and keep us updated on the advice etc. Take care Brew

GhosteditorOfChristmasPast · 04/12/2011 12:10

Cripes you too fish! again, chances are that it's just your body practicing, but if it's regular then worth keeping an eye on and talking to the MW. We're all now at the stage where they'll take us seriously and would rather we checked on worrying changes. Look after yourself!

Mulledbee · 04/12/2011 12:16

Eek addicted - hope it's just the UTI.

Mulledfish, hope you're ok too! I've had the odd time of period pain type aches but nothing further. Do get checked if it continues.

Cakes - reading up on HELLP is scary - definitely go back if you're not feeling better.

Mum2be - I second omeprazole - I've been on it since I got married (so about two years) and it's amazing.

Rednose - impressively acrobatic piglet you have there! :)

I've got a pressure at the front of my mons pubis - feels like a pressure and makes getting up from lying down very difficult (and walking). Thought it was perhaps a result of this late stage and the baby engaging, but google seems to think it might be some type of pelvic joint pain. Both midwife and doc said I had to put up with backache so I guess I just have to lump it.

Oeisha · 04/12/2011 13:53

addicted Problem being, as I found out, irregular contractions + UTI can VERY QUICKLY lead to established labor, which is when they kept me on delivery for 12h...and wouldn't let me out of hospital until they were 100% sure the contractions had stopped.

"Anything can set of labor and because they're so little at your stage they can just slip out in moments..."
...same to you fish. Def call MW and report. Early labors progress in minutes...
Don't want to scare, but don't also assume it's "normal"...esp. you addicted. Last thing you want is to be waiting for 45 bloody minutes hanging on to a bloody fence, puking massively and panicking your baby's not ok whilst an ambulance gets to you...

oh and M2B my indigestion/refulx is worse when I'm even mindly constipated...probably not relevant, but might help???

GiraffeAHolic · 04/12/2011 14:42

Hi all,

addicted hope things have calmed down.

I'm having a feeling rough day too, almost passed out in the nappy aisle in tesco, I have never felt that close to proper fainting.

Has anyone's bump dropped? I'm sure mine has as loads of pressure and I'm waddling now Blush

Plus side though, I found me another bargain. I got a BrightStarts playmat/gym thing reduced from £30 to £7.50!!

Managed to get underwear and toiletries for my bag so can get packed tonight, which is handy.

Oeisha · 04/12/2011 14:57

EEEK! Snow!!! It's not meant to do this 'til June...that's when I decided it was acceptable anyway...
Luckily it's been raining most of the day, so it's not likely to settle properly.

LetItSHOLetItSnow · 04/12/2011 15:01

Great bargain find there giraffe, take it easy for the rest of the day.

Hope everyone is feeling better and getting plenty of rest Thanks Brew

Its been snowing here again but its not lying, long may that last !!!!
