New thread with updated stats, before the old one grinds to a halt at 1000 and we loose people! Plus its running so slow it barely loads for me :)

MW appt was fine. We couldn't hear the heartbeat. MW said its a but too early yet but made me an appt for 5th Jan.

Dalrymps · 22/12/2011 11:22

Glad your app went well Away, hopefully you can hear the heartbeat next timeSmile

Warlin · 22/12/2011 11:47

Morninghis all

Feeling miserable this end. Sore throat has turned into bad cold, sore head, chest etc...argggghhhhh. Hope I get rid of it by Christmas. When is this blooming going to start??????

kayzr don't worry, the MW doesnt have as good a scanner and loads of people struggle to hear heartbeats with it. I'm sure you'll here one next time. 16 weeks is a bit early to feel movement?? I'm 15 and haven't felt any. Sounds like the MW didn't really have a clue? And whats with lying on the notes??

fireflies have provisionally agreed the house but need to get our own let. Will prob be start of Jan before it's on market so fingers crossed someone else doesn't beat us to it. Would be lovely and great to be near my parents.

Hi to everyone else....hope you are all in more of a festive spirit than me!

honeybee your chrimbo sounds nice. I'm off for 2 weeks too and can't wait. My dog got her stitches out today and is back to normal after being spayed so lots of long walks on the cards for me!

ffnorm · 22/12/2011 11:53

FF I feel so much better knowing you don't have amazing pregnant memory as I can hardly remember one post to the next... Can't tell you how much time I spend scrolling back and forth to remind myself of who said what.
Makes you wonder how I function at work, yet I do quite well, thank goodness...

welcome princess sorry meant to say that yesterday but forgot Blush

Kayzr what did the MW say about the fairy craving?? Because I see the consultant on 04/01 I end up only meeting my midwife at 28 weeks as she wasn't at my booking app - is that odd??

AwayinaKayzr · 22/12/2011 12:18

Warlin I'm slightly confused. My MW hasn't lied on my notes.

Apparently the fairy liquid thing is normal. It's called Pica and load of women crave non food substances. I just can't drink it. Grin

We've just booked at private scan in Jan as DP will be away for the 20 week scan. I can't wait to see baby again.

Miniangel · 22/12/2011 12:31

Hi Everyone

I loved your posts -itchy and fireflies. I don't know how you guys do it. Fireflies - notes in excel , I am very impressed.

Kayzr The venue sounds lovely. I am so happy they let you change the dates. When is the wedding now?

I went to work after ages yesterday but was very tired at the end of the day.Have you all finished your Christmas shopping? I did a bit yesterday at lunchtime as my office is next to a mall. I met up with my friends day before yesterday and they took me maternity clothes shopping. Both of them have recently had babies so they were very informed. I bought a few cheap dresses from H&M. Three dresses cost me as much as one my dresses in Mamas & Papas.

We are moving home on 28th. Have booked movers and cleaners as can't help my DH and mum much these days.

Hope you all are well and in the festive spirit.

Warlin · 22/12/2011 12:33

Sorry kayzr that was katy
lo
Getting my storie muddled...blame the hormones!!

I had my first memory loss experience. Was visiting a client with a colleague and have been loads of time before when I drove there I couldnt remember where it was!!! We got totally lost and were 15 mins late...bizarre!

Miniangel · 22/12/2011 12:36

Warlin Hope you feel better soon and the festive spirit comes through.

AwayinaKayzr · 22/12/2011 12:49

Thats ok Warlin I was having a baby brain moment then feeling confused about what I had said Grin

MockCroc · 22/12/2011 16:27

Hello ladies, may I join please?

I am a first timer with a (new) due date of 22 June. It started off as 28th and has gradually moved earlier, although I suspect the size of the blob is more to do with my 6'4" husband and my own tall stature than my original dates being more than a week out. But we will go with the 12 week scan prediction for now!

Time seems to be going by so fast now. It seems 2 minutes ago I had a BFP and was neurotic (MC in August) and now I am cantering towards my 16 week MW appointment in Jan and my 20 wk scan at the beginning of Feb. Just keeping my fingers crossed it hangs on in there squiggling about.

Is anyone else around my stage too fat for their clothes? I have maternity jeans on already (at 13.5 wks with number 1). I'm not a skinny bean naturally but nor am I a large lady (5'7" usual dress size 12) and I don't feel I've put on lots of weight elsewhere (notwithstanding the fact I have been troughing chocolate) but I know I shouldn't really be "showing" yet.

M x

ecstatica · 22/12/2011 21:23

Hi girls,
Wish I could manage a detailed post to everyone, just too tired and so little time. I have my m/w appt on the 28th, thanks for the reminder re: urine sample, would not have taken one otherwise!
Received scan date today not until 30 January but something to hopefully look forward to.
Re: Moving Home -- good move to get help, I had people clean from top to bottom, was just last month and I could not do a thing! Also had removal van etc..well worth it.
So much more I want to say to everyone but still suffering with the sickness and a busy house of small children.
DH will be off for a few days so can start checking in again :)

callmemamma · 23/12/2011 08:51

Seems like everyone is in a middle of Christmas rush :)
Welcome MockCroc my dd1 was due on 22nd,she was born on 27th.I also have a bump and started wearing mat jeans even though not put on any weight yet(lost around 3 pounds at the beginning due to lack of appetite)
When I was booking in with my MW she asked me to come back @18 weeks...everyone else seems to be having appointment @ 16 weeks?
Have a nice day everyone!

Rrrrayray · 23/12/2011 08:55

Estatica - my Mw check is also 28th. Be nice to hear the heartbeat.

Mockcroc- I wouldn't worry if you bump seems to be arriving quicker than you expected. From previous experiences of myself and other pregnant friends some people pop out quite quickly and then just get slowly slowly bigger, other people like me (perhaps due to retroverted uterus?) seem to conceal the baby for a long time and then suddenly get huge overnight. I know my SIL Who is a week ahead of me has a noticeably pregnant bump, first timer like you, where as I have nothing, second time round. Try not to over think it. Easier said than done I know Grin anyway a warm welcome.

Waves to everyone else!!! Those of you still working, last day! Hope some of you have half days! Xxx

Finally, sorry for possible TMI, but has anyone else suffered with thrush in pregnancy? I know I have friends who's body's are prone to it, but I think I've only ever had it once in my life. Unfortunately I'm sure I've got it, I saw the pharamsist and got some cream, but doesn't seem to be clearing up just feeling rather uncomfy, think doctors trip might be in order. Blush just wondered if any of those on second plus timers had been bothered by it in the past?!

callmemamma · 23/12/2011 09:10

Yes Rrrrayray I had that!() and it was also like second time ever in my life..apparently it's quite common in pregnancy.I asked MW for advice and she said Canestan pessary is ok and it did the job for me but if you feel you need something stronger better consult your gp.Did you only use cream or pessary as well?it takes about 3 days to get better and after a week you should be clear.

Warlin · 23/12/2011 09:25

Morning all

Welcome mockcroc to the June bus. I have been feeling fat for weeks. I'm 15 weeks today (due 15th june) but am really starting to show. I have been using the belly belts rather than maternity clothes but need to start buying and wearing some soon :) Chrimbo sales here I come.

Still feeling pretty rotten today....cold has become chest infection. It better clear up by Sunday! Last day of work today so hopefully get away at lunchtime. Can't come quick enough :)

Rrrrayray thrush uis common in pregnancy I think. I've never had it properly but know that it's likely at some stage over the next few months.

Time is starting to move faster now. I thought the first trimester dragged in but we are ll now marching toward the half way point. My next apt is at 18 weeks on 9th Jan.

Anyway hope you all get the last minute chrimbo pressies sorted and for those with kids already, enjoy all the excitement. DH is heading into town today to start his Christmas shopping and is meeting a friend for drinks at 1....how special do I feel Hmm

thedogwalker · 23/12/2011 21:30

Welcome Crock Warlin hope your chest gets better soon. Sorry this is a pants post but using MN on phone for the first time and have no idea if this will actually post Hmm well if it does I will be on here more often.

KatyJ26 · 23/12/2011 22:12

Hi all, quick post from me too, just checking in before bed! Done all my shopping and wrapping today (smug emoticon) and looking forward to seeing my siblings who have trAvelled down to see us tomorrow, also going to theatre with dc's and dh- feel all christmassy now! Night ( pulls duvet up and snuggles down) Smile

Rrrrayray · 24/12/2011 07:59

Warlin, mamma- thanks for reassurance. Went to doctor as tried to get at pharmacy and asked if safe for pregnancy, which pharmacist said only with a prescription. Doc agreed common in preg but to use pessary tablet without applicator as don't want to put it in too far. Fingers crossed sorts out.

Food order delivered last night. All present and correct, apart from I forgot cranberries I need to make my stuffing. So will have to brave busy shops today to get some! Urgh!

Otherwise all wrapped & ready to go! Grin

AwayinaKayzr · 24/12/2011 08:28

Morning.

We're all ready too except DP needs to wrap mine. I'm like a big kid I can't wait Xmas Grin

itchyfootedlady · 24/12/2011 18:35

Merry Christmas everyone, have a great day and take is easy!

TeaandHobnobs · 24/12/2011 18:50

Merry Christmas all! Hope you all have a wonderful time.

Have enjoyed some top nosh courtesy of my mum today. Suddenly feeling the need to fall asleep during the day a lot, but I think that is more exhaustion from finishing work than pregnancy related.
Am going to struggle to sing midnight mass tonight though!

Off to MIL's tomorrow with DH and BILs.

I hope you ladies are getting a rest and not doing all the Christmas cooking/entertaining!

ceeej · 25/12/2011 09:35

Happy Christmas everyone, hope you have a lovely day and feel well enough to enjoy your dinner. I have started on the chocolate coins already, Christmas makes me revert to acting like a five year old!
