New thread with updated stats, before the old one grinds to a halt at 1000 and we loose people! Plus its running so slow it barely loads for me :)

Morning everyone!
Sorry I haven't posted in a while, been reading the thread but then never had enough time to reply! So pleased everyone is having great scans, I have another on Tuesday and it can't come quick enough, I can't wait to see the little one again!

The extreme tiredness had been wearing off but then it started getting so hectic I seem to get up, go to work, go out and then crawl home and back into bed, DH sayd I'm very unsociable at the moment but as I'm out from 8am-8pm I tend to just collapse when I'm at home!

I really fancy going to a yoga class, although I'm thinking after Christmas when it slightly less hectic! Do they have to specific antenatal classes?

This weekend we have Christmas day at my parents on Saturday as my brother and his wife are emigrating to New Zealand next week and then the same again on Sunday at DH's parents as they are off to Dubai for Christmas to stay with DH's sister for 2 weeks, so manic this weekend and then the same again next... with all of these Christmas dinners I'll be huge!

Anyway, hope the sickness starts to pass for people with it! I have had no more fainting but get a bit weird if I walk to fast or stand up for too long in the same position - weird!!

Hope everyone has a fab weekend!

Xx

thedogwalker · 16/12/2011 09:18

Milly check the NCT website for your area, they do specific antenatal yoga classes, sadly in my area the there are none on days that I could go Sad, but I so fancy the idea of doing it with a class. I do have a pg yoga dvd which I used for DS, which I suppose I will have to use again. Good luck hunting one down Xmas Smile

Warlin · 16/12/2011 10:32

Morning all

fireflies That was a great post...must have taken ages! I never remember who has said what!

DW know what you mean, I just want to go home today! It's our Christmas do tonight and I could think of nothing worse. All the girls in work have their tan and hair done and are talking about the little dresses they will be wearing. Meanwhile I will squeezing into the only jeans that fit and a baggy top and staying sober....fun!

Milly know what you mean. I think the tiredness is back but not sure if it's just that I'm so busy with xmas stuff and burnt out with work. Hoping 2 weeks off at Christmas will help...roll on :)

MIL was supposed to come on Sunday before going away for Xmas and now can't make it.....relieved as couldn't face all the cleaning/ cooking! I've got very anti-social too!!!!!

CaptainNemo · 16/12/2011 14:01

Hello all! Sorry not to have posted for so long, had some really awful news from a friend last weekend and didn't want to bring the thread down, but she's now doing amazingly well and we're all determined to move onwards and upwards towards Christmas - it's such a great distraction isn't it? Xmas Grin

I downloaded the mn app this morning, this is my first post using it so I'll keep it short in case I do something wrong and lose the lot!

Can't check names on previous posts this way so can't remember who it was who saw their MW yesterday, but I did too! Was good, though for ages she couldn't find the hb as the placenta's right in the front. She was pretty sure she heard a couple of kicks and maybe even hiccups!! So that was reassuring but then right at the last minute she found the hb GrinGrinGrin baby was v high up, only just under my tummy button Xmas Shock didn't realise it could even get that high up yet! I think I've got a bump now, but not sure anyone else agrees with me, DH laughs at me because I can't pass a mirror without turning sideways GrinBlush (Loving the fact that it's so easy to add emoticons posting this way, as you can probably tell! Blush)

Am currently waiting for the ferry to get home from work, only just missed the last one so almost an hour's wait. Yawn. Oh well, at least it's given me some much needed mn catch up time!

Hope everyone's starting to feel better now and that everyone has a lovely weekend Smile

SarahBumBarer · 16/12/2011 15:13

Hi all - still struggling to check in too much as I still feel pretty bad and reading the antenatal threads makes me feel worse Grin

Got the blood test results for parvovirus and thankfully I had immunity so I must have had it as a child. Also had scan and all seems to be well although officially I have to wait for 2 weeks or so for the combined results of the scan and blood tests (I have given so much blood this pregnancy). Due date has been brought forward by 1 week just as it was with DS1 and that worked out pretty spot on.

Was genuinely annoyed for you SSC about your nosy colleague. I'm not planning to tell anyone here until the New Year and would be livid if I thought people were gossiping about me.

Novmama · 16/12/2011 17:41

Hi everyone

Fireflies seriously impressed at your message. Thanks re sleep - I'm either awake (rain and wild wind earlier in week did not help!) or having the oddest dreams - the last 2 nights of an erotic nature with older and I mean much older men, including Dominique Strass Kahn, and 60+ (uugh)Xmas Shock! What's that about!!!

Sickness very slight now. But still hugely tired.

Clothes wise - have received some nice tops courtesy of my mother shopping for me. Leggings and tights from Seraphine - leggings a bit long but ok. Awaiting jeans from specialist jean for short pregnant people and order from JoJoMamanbebe. Just deliberating on £89 dress! Its gorgeous but credit card taken a serious dent this month! So at least I have a few things to wear!

Good news on all the scans. Xmas Smile

Enjoy the weekend - here's to some more strange dreams ce soir!!!

10000fireflies · 16/12/2011 17:49

Oh Ecstatica - you poor thing with sickness getting worse. :(
TDW I'm finding the tiredness fairly overwhelming. Still. Getting bored of it now.
Warlin how was your sober Christmas do? Lucky escape this weekend by the sounds of it. Xmas Smile
Nemo - wow, that's awesome! Kicks AND hiccups!!! Naughty baby hiding like that so the MW couldn't find the HB for ages!! (BTW, you don't live in Hythe do you....? Seeing as you get the ferry home?) Don't worry, we think your bump looks huge. There, is that better? Xmas Grin DH thinks mine is massive where I think to the contrary. He bought me a bump band which keeps slipping down!!
Sarah - sorry you're still feeling rotten. Great news the parvovirus came back negative, and good luck with combined test. Thanks for updating list too.

I got impatient to get my combined results back so spent a lot of the day trying to get through to someone/anyone at the hospital. Finally got someone at 4pm and got results. Negative. Phew! Over the moon, as feel can tell more people now. Just want to get the 20 week anomoly scan over with and will really start to relax and enjoy being preggers. DH and I have done a bit of research on buggies/cots etc, but won't be looking until after that scan.

Have a good Friday and weekend everyone

F
xx

10000fireflies · 16/12/2011 17:53

Wow Novmama - those are pretty strange dreams!! Not sure if I should admit to the one I had about the Top Gear team. Xmas Shock The Daniel Craig one was much more satisfactory, Xmas Grin but sadly he was just a one night stand.

Florin · 16/12/2011 19:10

Anybody got their combined tests back, mine came through as 1:4700 which I think is ok. Off for pizza with friends tonight hoping I stay awake!

thedogwalker · 16/12/2011 19:39

Florin that is a good result, my last one for DS was 1:150, he still turned out to be just fine and I didn't have any of the intrusive tests. I would be over the moon wth your 1:4700, so be happy Xmas Grin

callmemamma · 16/12/2011 21:16

Hi everyone!
millyv my DH also complaining about my lack of social skills :) as on the days I work I leave home @ 7.30am and come back 7.30 pm,3 days in a row I am absolutely knackered.on my days off not much better..have to have a nap at around 4 to keep me going..Hope it will get better soon...
Sarah I am Xmas Shock you have to wait 2 weeks for combined test results!!!I had my scan on Tue and got my results through post today!I was told at scan if the result was not good they would have rang me to discuss further action. Thanks god it came back low risk.

callmemamma · 16/12/2011 21:22

florin however good a result is they will always tell you it does not rule out Downs but yours is def low risk(as is mine at 1:5211)

SeriouslyStrongCheddar · 17/12/2011 08:29

Morning all!

Congrats to those who've had scans, sympathy to those feeling rough!

As for me - MIL still in CCU 'cause they can't find a bed on a general ward for her, BIL back home as no serious damage done in his fall so didn't need to be kept in, and my head cold is hopefully going to be gone by Xmas! Phew!

Hairdresser appt this morning - think I'll be going for black with blonde streaks today and I can then put some neon pink through the blonde tomorrow when I've got time (needs a few hours so won't take if the hairdresser does it - easier just to get him to do the bleaching bit and do the rest myself).

I've found something that stops me retching first thing in the morning - laughter! Sat down in the lounge this morning and one of the cats jumped onto my lap and stuck his paws in my stomach which made me retch. DH tried to remove cat who dug his claws into my dressing gown and I carried on retching but started to giggle at the battle of wills between cat and DH. Cat was ushered onto the floor and immediately tried to turn round and return to my lap, with DH dancing round trying to get between the cat and me and get hold of him - which looked frankly ridiculous with DH's dressing gown flapping round him. This made the giggling worse, which was still mixed with a fair bit of retching - the ridiculousness of which then sent me into full blown laughter at the whole daft scene, which cured the retching; apparently I can't retch and laugh at the same time! Who knew!Xmas Grin

Have a good weekend everyone!

Dalrymps · 17/12/2011 11:27

Morning ladiesSmile

SSC your description of the car incident had me laughing out loudGrin

Just chilling here.. Now my sickness has just about gone and I haven't got much of a bump (never did the last two times either) I'm starting to think I've imagined being pregnant and am wondering if they'll be able to find the heartbeat when I go for my 16 wk app on mon. Why do I always have to find something to worry about?!

Dalrymps · 17/12/2011 11:28

cat! Not car!

TeaandHobnobs · 17/12/2011 14:05

Hello all, hope you are having good weekends.

I am a bit grumpy as despite supposedly being on leave yesterday, and being down at my MIL's with DH and my two BILs, I am having to work all weekend Xmas Angry Stupid work. At least there is only one week left!

On a positive note, I think I may have felt some flutterings the other night (at 13 wks). It was an odd fluttery feeling, like very fast little vibrations - does that sound familiar to anyone? It was cool but also quite freaky!

We announced the news to the BILs last night - they are both quuite excited, although BIL1's GF was more excited (and confessed out of earshot of her BF that she was a bit jealous, aww)

Right, I am off to go find something non-work to do for a bit (er, oops, I guess MNing is non-work Xmas Blush) and try not to think about all the Xmas shopping I can't do until Friday!

Have a great weekend all, and try not to tire yourselves out with the pre-Christmas rush!

T&H

Rrrrayray · 17/12/2011 16:09

Hi all.

Took DD to see happy feet 2 this morning now chilling on couch munching on tablet (if you don't know what that is - you are missing out Grin) that I made to give people as gifts. Thankfully one bag was un named so I am tucking in Smile

Sickness on the back burner but rears ugly head occassionally.

Whoever said about fluttery movements (sorry on phone so can't scroll and see) think I've had a few of those too, 15 weeks, so I guess still slightly early.

Hope you all have a lovely weekend.

Rrrrayray · 17/12/2011 16:11

Dalrmylps - ditto on the bump front. Showed very late with DD, think due to sickness perhaps. Mw check not until 28th Dec, like you nervous about heart beat finding! X

AwayinaKayzr · 17/12/2011 20:32

Hello.

Tea I have felt fluttering movements too and I'm 13 weeks. I don't know if it's because it's my third they seem early.

We've been to watch football today and the boys were mascots. They were so so cute running about. Grin

emblosion · 18/12/2011 17:55

Hi ladies,

Sorry have been AWOL, have been running around like a mad woman trying to get ready for christmas. Am heading over to my mums tomorrow (i'm in NI and she is in England)) and have another busy week ahead trying to get things sorted for my wedding in April, lol, nothing is ever done the easy way with me around!)

fireflies your post was so lovely, it must have taken you ages! My cold is much better, thankyou- still very stuffed up at night though, DP is starting to despair of my snoring!

Dalrymps I am another worrier, I thought my scan would reassure me but I just can't help myself, even though I have no reason to think anything is wrong. Good luck with your appointment tomorrow, I'm sure all will be well.

We have been telling all our friends and family this week which has been lovely, but I keep fretting that I have somehow jinxed myself which I am aware is UTTER madness - I need a slap with a wet fish!

Cheddar your new hairdo sounds ace! Have you done the pink yet? I'm getting mine done on Weds, can't wait. Think I am going to go darker again as my highlights are just too high maintenance.

warlin I hope your wee dog is recovering ok, its so upsetting when pets are unwell. I cried when I saw my cats stitches after her 'op' but she was back to normal in no time really...

Anyway, have a good Monday everyone! pinkpepper is it your scan this week? Good luck! [Smile]

emblosion · 18/12/2011 17:57

I mean Smile !

Florin · 18/12/2011 19:06

Hope everyone has had lovely Christmassy weekends. We have been doing last minute Christmas shopping and lots of wrapping! Now curled up in front of the fire with a Christmas film on. So looking forward to Christmas, Although looking forward to Christmas next year even more so excited about having a little baby for Christmas.

princessesmummy · 18/12/2011 20:24

Hello room for a not so small one? We just had our scan done on Friday and I'm 14 weeks not the 12 I thought I was. So iv jumped over from the July bus I was sort of on . It would be really nice and add me to the stats as it will be ages untill I can get to a laptop. I'm 26 and due 15 June. Second time mum.

PinkPepper · 18/12/2011 21:01

thanks [Emblosion] nerves are really kicking in now. Someone I know had some bad news recently which I don't think helps.

So so glad it's at 9am, even if I can't sleep at all that's only 12 hours to fill (been sleeping half the afternoon after work!) part of me is so sure everything will be fine, and I generally try and think positive, but it's hard because another part of me is saying 'don't get so excited, they'll be nothing there'

Anyway going to have a nice relaxing bath in a bit after some pasta, got my appetite back today at least :)

Sorry I havn't replied to anyones things, to be honest my mind can't remember any posts I just read! I will be here from tomorrow night chatting away so much you'll be sick of seeing my name.

PinkPepper · 18/12/2011 21:05

oops meant emblosion
