New thread with updated stats, before the old one grinds to a halt at 1000 and we loose people! Plus its running so slow it barely loads for me :)

Just wanted to say good luck for scans and glad that SSC's MIL is well and happy for the great news.

Just had first set of bloods taken, bleugh. Take care x

WhyAlwaysBoris · 12/12/2011 11:44

Madly busy with work today but just checking in to wish emblosion, ellybett , tdw and callmemamma- good luck with your scans today

thedogwalker · 12/12/2011 12:58

Hi all
I cried at my scan today, tears of happiness, to see my little ray of sunshine for the first time. Just wish my DH could have been there, still got another 5 months before he is home. LO was very engergetic, just like DS and same as that pg they have moved my date up by 5 days, I don't believe them, they now say the 11 June but I am sticking with the 16, I know exactly when I conceived Grin.
Ellybett hope your scan has gone well too, thinking of you.
Emblosion Callmemamma, hope your scans go well tomorrow.
Kayzr Happy birthday to your DS2.
Novmama, hope your sickness subsides before Christmas, I love Christmas dinner and I do hope you can enjoy yours.
Well I'm now on a high, hope everyone else if feeling good too. Take care xx

ellybett · 12/12/2011 14:26

It's all good, in fact it's all wonderful! Had a great scan and could see the wee one wriggling about and waving at the camera. The relief is incredible and am now a bit freaked out at how real it now is!
tdw so pleased for you, hope you got a good set of pics to send your dh.
emblosion and callmemammalots of luck for tomorrow.
ssc glad your mil is getting better.
kveta I am definitely in the sleep deprived club. Awake generally between 3 and 5, and when I do sleep my dreams are insane!
Take care all.

Kveta · 12/12/2011 14:31

great news TDW and elly!! hope you got lots of nice pictures!

ChateauMargot · 12/12/2011 14:34

Another one here with freaky dreams and 3-5 am wakefulness. No problem getting to sleep early, though - or sneaking cheeky naps during the day... ;)

emblosion · 12/12/2011 15:35

Hooray! Congratulations TDW and elly that's great news - so happy that you have seen your LO's and that all is well!

How, how, how will I wait til tomorrow? I bet I don't sleep a wink. At least scan is early, 9.00 am so I won't be waiting around all day getting myself into a state! Am excited/terrified in equal measure Shock

thedogwalker · 12/12/2011 15:55

Emblosion I was the same yesterday, after the bad news of last week, I was watching out for every pg feeling possible and then last night in bed, I couldn't sleep, worrying, but in the end I was worrying for nothing. Be excited and happy that your scan day has finally arrived and don't stress, all will be fine. Wishing you lots of good sleep vibes for tonight and I hope you're not waiting too long at the hospital.

PinkPepper · 12/12/2011 16:02

nice to hear people are having nice scans, can't believe mines still a week away!

callmemamma · 12/12/2011 19:04

tdw and elly I am so happy for you :)
Surprisingly I am not as nervous as I thought I would be before tomorrow..just hoping for a good night's sleep as well.

SeriouslyStrongCheddar · 12/12/2011 19:06

Evening all!

Thanks for all the thoughts re MIL - she's still in CCU but I'm sure the docs will get to the bottom of it eventually.

Congrats to everyone that's had scans today!

emblosion - I'd like to be able to knit but can't seem to wield a pair of kneedles! I can crochet anything you like, but knitting is always a disaster for me! My mum can knit like a demon though so it seems that both sides of the family can apart from me!

Warlin - hope doggie is okay; it's always hard to leave them at the vets.

Kveta - yep, I've had insomina for weeks. Think I'm starting to adapt to the lack of sleep, slowly!

So, got to work this morning, still mildly peeved about the girl at the Xmas party. Only for my boss to tell me that two of my colleagues didn't know what to do as the girl in question had told them on Friday night that I am pregnant and they didn't know whether to speak to me about it or not. One of these colleagues is the one I've been worried about telling the right way as his girlfriend miscarried a couple of months ago Sad.

To say I was seething with rage was an understatement. I've spoken to my colleagues and apologised for the way they found out (they've been lovely and are just angry for me that it happened the way it did) and have told the rest of my team as I have no idea who knows what after Friday. In between speaking to the first two and telling the rest I had to sit through a two hour Xmas lunch in a restaurant. Wonderful. Not quite how I was planning it to happen. Am also making a complaint re girl in question as I feel what she did was unforgivable after specifically promising not to tell anyone. Has been a truly exhausting day - feel emotionally drained with all the upset / anger. Least I should sleep well tonight!

Still, it's a small thing in the grand scheme of things and not something to dwell on, so will have chilled out about it by tomorrow.

Sorry for the ranty post - just needed to vent!

Hope everyone's had a good day!

thedogwalker · 12/12/2011 19:47

Cheddar, sorry that your plans of telling work didn't go as planned, what right did she have to tell people your news??? Some people just take the biscuit. Don't mind you venting at all, that's what we are here for, hope you feel better now Xmas Grin.

Good luck for all the scans tomorrow, thinking of you all xx

ceeej · 12/12/2011 22:08

Just a quick comment as I'm posting on the iPhone from my mums house but SSC I am seething for you, no one has the right to spread your news before you are ready and it's especially rude when there's a potentially sensitive situation that you were trying to approach in a careful manner, someone needs to tell her just how out of line she's been.

Twiglet100 · 12/12/2011 22:45

Fantastic news on today's scans!

Yes to mad dreams. I dreamed I was devouring a massive camembert the other night - was very disappointed to wake up. Yes also to insomnia - 3am without fail. Does anyone have a theory on why this is? It can't be just the weeing...

SSC I think you're absolutely right to be outraged - what a sauce.

AwayinaKayzr · 13/12/2011 05:12

Hello!

Great news about yesterday's scans Xmas Grin

Cheddar that's really really not on. The girl had no right to tell other people about your pregnancy. I would certainly be complaining.

As you might have guessed from the time of this post I have insomnia. I usually wake at about 5 and then can't sleep. I'm feeling pretty knackered.

Hope everyone is well.

SeriouslyStrongCheddar · 13/12/2011 05:43

Morning all!

Well, yesterday's sore throat has turned into a raging head cold. Been up since about 5am due to this and insomnia. Feel like something out of Dawn of the Dead at the moment.

Good luck to everyone with scans and hope everyone has a good day.

Miniangel · 13/12/2011 10:17

Great scan news TDW and Elly.
Emblosion thinking about you and hope the scan went well this morning.
SSC hope your MIL recovers soon. I am so outraged for you - that girl needs spanking. You should def complain.

I wake up every day between 2-4 and feel really pukish. Threw up the water I was drinking at 4.30 today. Have been feeling rough again after last week's respite and wondering when this will pass.

I am with the vivid dream crowd. I get so vivid and ridiculous dreams of being burnt alive and what not. I woke up feeling the pain in my hand as if it was truly burnt. How wierd.

emblosion · 13/12/2011 11:25

Hello all! Just popping on to say my scan went great. The baby was waving and wriggling about like anything, it was amazing. I shed a little tear! By my dates I am 12+5 but the scan made me 12 weeks dead on, my cycles are usually quite long so am not too suprised....

Am so relieved that everything looks ok. Midwives were lovely, I had my booking in at the same time.

Haven't had a chance to read all the posts, but thanks for all the messages! I'll do a proper reply later when I'm not on my phone!

cheddar I hope you aren't feeling too bad with your cold, get well soon!

KatyJ26 · 13/12/2011 11:45

Hi all!
emblosion great news re scan - relax and enjoy it now!
SSC hope your MIL feels better very soon.
Lovely to hear such positive scan stories - feels like the longest 12 weeks ever doesn't it?!

Haven't posted for a while, been stupidly busy and thought it was a good idea to have 8 adults and 8 children (all under the age of 5) for tea on Sunday!!! It was lovely, but took a lot of organisation and was slightly crazy, but the kids loevd it! I on the other hand could not have moved another muscle by the end of it!!!!

Off to see my DD in her first nativity this afternoon, she's a star..no really!!! So excited, but sure I will cry! I asked if she had to say anything and she informed me (very matter-of-factly) stars don't talk mummy - how foolish of me!

Just 3 days left of work til I stop for Christmas - can't wait! Just the small matter of Christmas shopping to tackle in the meantime! Please tell me you are not ALL completely organised for Christmas Xmas Blush

Hope everyone's having a good week xx

Warlin · 13/12/2011 13:39

Afternoon all

Great news on the the scans everyone. Emblosion I shed a tear too! They look like little people now whereas my last one just looked like a bean!

I've been feeling ropey the past few days....is anyone else getting headaches and heartburn? And the tiredness is back.....roll on the day I will be "glowing"...mmmmmm Hmm

I have my nuceal scan tmw night. Mixed feelings as I can't wait to see baby again but am a bit apprehensive about what it will show. I hope its ok but if not can't see me doing anything...I love my wee bean already!

Just in work as my little puppy got home from vets this morning after being spayed. Poor wee mite is feeling very sorry for herself and is still dopey. Feel so guilty but had to be done....one hormonal female in the house is enough at the moment!

Hope you feel better soon SSC and everyone else who is sick.

Very jealous of katy I am working until next Friday but thankfully have most of my shopping done.

Is it just me or is time just dragging in these days??? Hope it starts to pick up speed in the next trimester or it's going to be a very long 6 months :)

ecstatica · 13/12/2011 13:42

Emblosion That's great news about your scan!
SSC Glad all is ok minus work colleague of course.
Katy Its always worth it when the kids have so much fun. The joys of friends with young families :)

Miniangel -- Your pregnancy has been like each of mine from day one, it didn't stop in either unfortunately, just breaks in between to stop me losing the plot altogether. Did you mean in the morning or afternoon?
I've mentioned this before but have never found anyone with similar experience. I throw up on waking if i nap in the afternoon with DC. I throw up after a bath/shower and i've recently started to have dizzy spells -- i know i'm iron deficient in PG as I had blood transfusions last time when it got bad. Everyone seems so different. Anyone taking Flouridix? The iron tablets make me sick too.

Hello to everyone else taking DC upstairs to nap.

ecstatica · 13/12/2011 13:44

Warlin forgive me for not mentioning your dog, read it at the time and thought awwww....but never said anything (as usual, can't store all the info). Hope it gets all the cuddles deserved :)

HorseyGirl1 · 13/12/2011 13:48

HI there
RE: insomnia - yup I've got this too but have found solution. Have something to eat and then sit up for 30mins and then go back to bed. I know it's a pain but I'd rather not sleep for one hour than toss and turn for 2 or 3 hours which is what I had been doing. Weetabix for my midnight snack too! Hope this helps xx

callmemamma · 13/12/2011 15:35

Hi everyone!
Scan went well :) such a relief!Baby a bit sleepy so had to lift my bum and shake my hips twice for nuchal measurement.I was crying on my way out of scan room..Guess it's time to let the rest of the world know now :)
Thank you for all your good luck messages.
Hope everyone is having a good day!

AwayinaKayzr · 13/12/2011 16:19

Big Grin for all the scans today!! Really great news.

I'm quite worried about how big I am already. DS2 was a big baby and although labour and birth was easier than with DS1 is rather not have another huge baby. I see the MW next week so I can talk to her about it.

Hope everyone is feeling well.
