Morning

I'm still at home, still no baby.

I'm still getting pain, i lost some more mucus this time with blood in from the kneck of the womb so can't be much more left. I called the midwife and untill the pain gets worse or my waters go i'm to stay at home, take painkillers, have a bath and go for a walk Hmm

This has been going on since Wednesday now - i'm so feed up.

I have tried:

Reflexology
Lavander massage
Two cups of rasberry leaf tea
Listened to hypno CD
Sleep
Bombay potatos for tea last night
Warm shower

cheeptrick · 26/11/2011 07:36

Off to get some more painkillers as pain worse today. I'm hoping that the blood is a good sign and that it will not be long now.

cheeptrick · 26/11/2011 07:58

I think i have just gone into active labour Grin

I will update again when i can.

Xiaoxiong · 26/11/2011 08:09

Keep it up! Do you have someone with you?

So exciting!

BeeMyBaby · 26/11/2011 08:14

Wooo hospital time for cheep! (Possibly the only time anyone is ever pleased to go to the hospital).

aethelfleda · 26/11/2011 08:19

Hooray! Good luck cheep!!

Hope everyone's Saturday is a good one. I'm off to help with the school Fair shortly, and then fromna social committment p

aethelfleda · 26/11/2011 08:24

Point of view (sorry, stoopid phone cut off post), I'm nearly done, just two short shifts at work and then I'm freeeee!!!

Now if anyone has nesting urges can you pass them this way please? I seem to be missing mine...

LittleMissHumbuggery · 26/11/2011 08:26

Good luck cheep

Last night I mostly blew my nose:( I feel like my nose has its own little bonfire on the end of it now:( expecting a writ from Rudolph Inc. any time now as I'm sure the look is only to be used under licence in these litigious timesWink

OiMissus · 26/11/2011 08:42

Hurrah cheep!!! the pom poms are out!! Best of luck!
Congrats to your Sis bluebells.
Hope we all have great weekends - and that those of us who are ready, move a step closer to popping!

BluebellsintheSpring · 26/11/2011 08:52

Good luck Cheep - glad things finally progressing for you!

msbuggywinkle · 26/11/2011 09:32

Good luck cheep!

For once I managed a bloody brilliant nights sleep! And DP managed to get me a lie in until 9am! And he has just suggested bacon butties for breakfast, lovely man. He is actually being very grumpy though, he has woken up with a sore neck (I looked at him like this Confused when he started moaning) which is clearly worse than all of the aches and pains of an 8mth pregnant woman! Even DD1 has told him to stop being childish!

Plans for the weekend? Today we are doing some last bits of baby related shopping (nothing exciting, just maternity pads etc) and I'll get going on the crochet cushion covers for my Mum's boat later on.

bennybenbear · 26/11/2011 09:32

Good luck Cheep!

aethel I also need that nesting instinct! Had to force myself to clean the bathroom yesterday and now got to tidy downstairs as SIL is popping over later and DH is working so can't make him do it lol!

HoneyLovesCake · 26/11/2011 10:05

Morning all & good luck cheep :)

I have managed to screw up my last week of work lolling about & so now have to do a full day today & tomorrow oh well, I don't seem to be as exhausted this morning so hopefully shouldn't be too stressful but I'd better get on with it if I don't want to be working all night again.

Hope you all have a good weekend :)

sazzermol · 26/11/2011 11:22

Yay gooooooooo cheep!! And congrats on your new niece blue
All seems to be slowly trickling into a steady flow of babies, happy weekends everyone Grin

KateM77 · 26/11/2011 11:34

Good luck cheep and congrats to your sister Bluebells

I was also awake from 3am. DH was very good to me this morning though, and got DD up so I got another couple of hours this morning. Feeling particularly exhausted today though and trying to do as little as possible!

BluebellsintheSpring · 26/11/2011 13:23

I am now desperate to have my baby! Knowing my sis has a beautiful baby Sophie has sent all rationality out the window. Rationally, it would be better if mine didn't arrive for another few days as sister lives in Glasgow and family are heading there to see the new arrival but I just want to meet my baby now.

Oh dear, I sense it could be a long week ahead! I really hope baby doesn't go overdue.

Hope things going well Cheep!

Sorelip · 26/11/2011 14:11

Good luck cheep! hope all goes well!

Bluebells, congratulations on the birth of your niece. :).

Honey, that's rubbish for you.

Hmmm wonder if DH will offer to make some faux bacon butties for me...We we up until 3am last night, but I only woke up half an hour ago. My body is trying to get as much rest as possible.

I did something that may or may not be a bit silly yesterday - I bought two Medela Swing pumps from the amazon black friday deals, instead of the double pump. My reasoning is, the double pump doesn't have wonderful reviews, but the Swing does, and it was actually cheaper to get two individual pumps than the double. Now, am I totally deluded to think I can use two pumps at the same time?

sevensevenseven · 26/11/2011 15:40

Good luck cheep!

Hope everyone is having a good weekend.

Eva was weighed earlier and has lost 5oz, so now 4lb 15oz, MW not too concerned though. I'm now making almost enough milk, I've managed 2 full feeds today with the rest just needing a small formula top-up. MW said to keep putting her to the breast anyway before giving her the bottle. I tried it with her last feed and she managed a few sucks so she's doing really well.

I hope I'm not infuriating the impatient ones amongst us by posting baby things on here. It feels a bit weird while she's the only one, may there be many more on the way soon.

OiMissus · 26/11/2011 15:53

seven we're impatient to have our LOs - but just as impatient to hear your news of how you and baby Eva are getting on!! There is absolutely nothing infuriating. You belong on this thread. Grin

Earwigwam · 26/11/2011 16:04

Seven - nice to hear your baby updates, feels like a staged introduction to be talking about both on the same thread. My memories of first time round are quite hazy so nice to be reminded of the early days stuff. 5oz loss sounds good, may even have already started going up as some babies lose much more than that without it being a worry.

Sorelip - I double pumped last time round and don't see why you can't do it with two single pumps. I had a special bra to hold the funnels which meant I was hands free but I know some people just cut holes in an old bra to do the same job!

aethelfleda · 26/11/2011 16:48

seven, don't be daft, it's lovely to hear how you are both doing. As
one of the last Dec due mums on the thread (and with DD2 having beem a week late) I fully expect to be sat on this thread until after Christmas, and if you leave I'll be lonely .....

You wouldn't leave a hormonal pregnant woman alone, would you??

msbuggywinkle · 26/11/2011 17:32

Rant alert.

Have just got home from PIL and had to shut myself upstairs to cry because of their comments. I stood up as we were getting ready to go and stretched, and they lined up either side of me and MiL started laughing, FIL said 'you're enormous' and MIL joined in with 'you can't see what we can see!' and carried on laughing. I yelled, 'can you just not discuss my body!' and stormed out....DP seems to think this is them trying to be 'involved'. Erm, no. Asking about mw appointments or birth plans or something would be trying to be involved.

Am really really upset, it felt horrible being stood in their living room being laughed at. For fucks sake, I'm 8mths pregnant, what do they expect me to look like!

Not going back for a few weeks. DP is ringing them tomorrow to let them know how much they upset me.

Sorry for the 'me' post, just can't stop crying! :(

Sorelip · 26/11/2011 18:08

msbuggy, don't apologise for ranting, I admire you for your restraint! Your inlaws were plain fucking rude, and I'm furious on your behalf!

Seven, please do keep posting. It's really nice to see how things are on the other side, especially as a first timer.
