Double vesting works well too, and if ou really feel like it there are belly covering things available at inflated prices from shops:o

LittleMissHumbuggery · 21/11/2011 23:55

Just discovered one of my cats has a nasty looking abcess. Am hoping to get him tot he get tomorrow, but quite worried now:( Maybe I should have stayed flustered and not tempted the humbuggery:(

AwomancalledHorse · 22/11/2011 00:06

:( Oh littlemiss, hope your cat is ok! Does he seem to be in pain at all?

Tyel, I hope DH comes round to the idea of sex soon...TMI alert, since I've been feeling rubbish this week the most action DH is getting here is a 'wham bam thank you mam' handjob in the mornings!

Hope everyone manages a good nights sleep!
I'm up with period-stylee cramps (not expecting anything to come of them, only 35+5wks), hurrah.

LittleMissHumbuggery · 22/11/2011 00:12

He hasn't been impressed with being picked up recently, but none of my cats like being manhandled. They prefer to come and sit on you at their convenience so I hadn't thought anything of it. Going to call the vet first thing and see when they can get him in. I might qualify for PDSA treatment which will be a relief as it's the barren part of my month this next couple of weeks:(

sevensevenseven · 22/11/2011 02:54

Psst, anyone up? Eva Rose is here!!!!! :o :o

I don't mean to scare anyone, painful contractions started 8:30pm, checked and found to be 5cm at 9:30pm, DD arrived 11:13pm. Delivered by gas and air, no time for pethidine. DH went home to put DS to bed at 5pm, he drove 85mph to get here in time (which I don't support btw) and arrived with 15 mins to spare.

Anyway, she weighs 5lb 4oz and is having a good attempt at BFing. If someone could update the stats and add Eva at a more appropriate hour it'd be hugely appreciated.

I will try to keep updated with all of your news but won't have as much time over the next few days. Thanks for all of the support and best of luck to everyone in case I'm not around and miss the next few arrivals. xx

3rdOneComingUp · 22/11/2011 03:57

Wow!! Well done seven and a huge welcome to Eva Rose. You clever girl seven doing it all so effortlessly! I love hearing of safe arrivals!

KateM77 · 22/11/2011 05:16

Seven Congratulations! That's amazing news. So pleased to hear it went well for you. You've chosen a beautiful name too. Enjoy the exciting journey ahead :)

KateM77 · 22/11/2011 05:22

I think somebody asked about blankets for the baby's hospital bag earlier on. Can't remember who it was (sorry) and CBA going back to look and not sure if it was ever answered. The hospital will provide sheets and blankets for baby whilst you're in, so your idea of just keeping a blanket with the car seat for the transfer home sounds like a good plan to me (and is what I've done too)

Earwigwam · 22/11/2011 07:34

Congratulations Seven, don't know what you mean about scaring us, sounds like a nice quick second labour!

Hope you got some sleep to recover.

Mmmmcheese · 22/11/2011 07:35

Congratulations seven! First thing i thought of when i woke up this morning was whether your baby had arrived! Glad all ok. I assume she is with you and hasnt needed to go to SCBU?

I have a feeling i wont be far behind. Only 35 + 4 but just have a weird feeling.

Xiaoxiong · 22/11/2011 07:37

Hurrah seven and family, and welcome Eva Rose!! Grin hope all continues blissful and lovely for you all!

sevensevenseven · 22/11/2011 07:38

Thanks all.

earwigwam is less than 3 hours start to finish not a little scary? Thankfully (again) I was already in hospital, we live 45 minutes away, or over an hour if the traffics bad.

Eva is doing brilliantly and just had a perfect feed, 5 minutes one side then a couple of minutes on the other. Tiny but perfect!

aethelfleda · 22/11/2011 07:57

Hooray! Well done seven and a beautiful name too.

I will make sure I tell DH about your swift labour: despite being on number 3 he's still convinced
i'm going to have ten hours of contractions and then a baby
(ie lots of time to get home). My second stages were both 25 min jobs so if I dilate faster it could be swift. He keeps trying to make plans to do stuff wjen I'm 38/39/40 weeks (visit Cambridge/ "nip" to Reading with the DDs/ go to watch the footy!!) and it's driving me crackers!!!

msbuggywinkle · 22/11/2011 08:09

Congratulations seven! Really glad that it went well and a teeny bit jealous that you have your newborn to cuddle!

I had a better night I suppose, woke up five times for no good reason and feel a bit like I have a stomach bug this morning though, really gurgle and weird. Baby is under strict instructions not to arrive until Saturday at the earliest though!

bennybenbear · 22/11/2011 08:11

Congrats seven wonderful news and sound like you're both doing well! x

PullyWoolOver · 22/11/2011 08:16

seven!!!!! Congratulations, what wonderful news to wake up to! Oh, I'm so pleased for you, I think I'll do a little jig round the bedroom! Eva Rose is such a beautiful name. Make sure you come back and tell us how you're all doing whenever you can.

GrinGrinGrin

DarciesmumandBump2 · 22/11/2011 08:17

Congratulations Seven Welcome to Eva Rose Smile your labour & delivery sounds great.

Took me forever to get to sleep last night had some intense cramps, eventually fell asleep, DP strolls in at 11pm and thinks ok to wake me Hmm Anyway, off to work for my going on maternity leave lunch Grin

Re blankets I just took a blanket for the car seat.

OiMissus · 22/11/2011 08:21

Fabulous news seven!!! congratulations! Tiny but perfect. Grin and a mercifully swift birth. I am very jealous in a nice way. So pleased for you. Welcome to the world Eva Rose!! (beautiful name)

Back to me, me, me, for a moment. I had a crap night. Just itchy and uncomfortable all night. This morning, I feel like I've been battered. Everything hurts. And the skin on my legs, feet and tummy feels like it's going to burst. Sad
I really really hope that I'm next. Pleeeeeeease!!

BluebellsintheSpring · 22/11/2011 08:38

Congrats Seven that's lovely news to find on the thread this morning. Beautiful name. Wonderful that she's taken to feeding well.

Oi let's hope things happen soon for you!

fusam · 22/11/2011 08:47

seven that is fantastic news to wake up to and what a beautiful name. Enjoy the lovely newborn smells and cuddles.

Oi Do you have any rash or anything? Poor you, it doesn't sound pleasant at all.

3rd If I go into labour I am meant to go straight in for an emergency section. I am really hoping this will happen before christmas. Have you been told you have to self administer the anti clotting injections for a few days once you get home? I am a bit freaked out by this, never had to do this for DD although hers was an emergency section.

OiMissus · 22/11/2011 08:59

fusam no rashes. I think it's just as my skin is so tight, it's hypersensitive. Moan, moan, moan!

What a lovely thought - the newborn smells and cuddles!! I know it'll all be worth it. And soon. Smile

kri5ty · 22/11/2011 09:00

seven a massive Congrats!! And hellooo Eva rose!! So so happy for you, although the quickness has scared me a little as OH would still be getting back from London in that time! And well done with the gas and air!! :o

pully glad the scan went ok, I was 4lbs 9 when I was born, was prem and a little time in incubator, but I too am fine :-D

lala try not to worry too much about posterior etc... mine has been fine whole pregnancy, I never slump on sofa etc, and today he decides he wants to be posterior... mw saud sometimes its the only way they can enter your pelvis...Confused

msbuggy Ty :o I shall be doing inversions... not sure Id be able to get back up again lol

tye I'd say we have only had sex around 5 times in the last 8 months... again he feels leike he will hurt me or the baby... told him a white lie today and said the mw advised sex so he wasn't late lol, and it worked! Tmi... It was just sex and no intimacy I hoped for, but I guess Ww will have to work on that after birth!

DarciesmumandBump2 · 22/11/2011 09:08

Who's doing what today?

cheeptrick · 22/11/2011 09:11

Morning Everyone

Congrats Seven Smile Welcome to the world Eva Rose Grin

Fusam - i had to do the anti clotting injection too first time round, its not so bad its just like an eppi pen, it goes in your thigh or tummy so its into the fatty bits so it doesn't hurt.

cheeptrick · 22/11/2011 09:19

Today i plan on looking after son and feeding him Grin

Putting in some more baby clothes washing.

Taking a binbag upstairs and tidying my bedroom and bathroom.

Telling DH he has to do the washing up if he wants dinner tonight!

In between i will have morning sickness and i have a dodgy tummy so lots of loo breaks
