Hi, NorthernChinchilla - welcome!
Shame to hear from you just on the edge of murder, Kitty5824! You sound very restrained, though; well done!
LittleMIssFlustered, I think I have just scoffed a netful of satsumas, too. They are bloody nice, and I am not in danger of constipation - wahey! Thank goodness I've learned at least that lesson in life... If you want some fun junk food for the cupboard, though, I really recommend popcorn. It's compact and doesn't go off, and is just great as a meal with some wine and chocolate (post-partum, of course!)
Sorelip, what does NAD stand for?
Have just watched the fourth episode of Death in Paradise and it was disappointingly silly, not like the other three at all. However, it is diverting, and I had a spell in the Colonies when I was younger, so will continue to watch, for nostalgia's sake and to remind myself why I am happy to be out of there
That's a really good idea about alternative entertainment, though aethelfleda! I recently read Diana Wynne Jones's "Archer's Goon", and despite its being youth fiction, it was plenty sophisticated: well written and well plotted. I also recently reread a whole lot of Narnia books, which were very interesting for an adult. I'm on something by Graham Joyce at the moment (who is brilliant), and know he has written a lot of YAF as well. Who wrote the books you mentioned?
P.S. ManCrushedtoDeath, thanks for the good wishes!
