Sorry for the new thread and crap name but i needed to start one oi how are you doing good luck xxx

I have fallen off the face of MN for a week or so and have loadsss to catch up on! I have been busy doing coursework and seriously nesting!!

PGP is awful, to the point of making me cry, finally got a pyshio app, but not for another 2 weeks :( doesnt seem much point. OH continues not to even attempt a massage if i ask and rolls his eyes.

Been having really bad shooting pains that take my breath away, but seems as though baby is head down (and very low) im guessing its a nerve he is on.

Very strange and TMI... but earlier (when i went to the toilet) i could feel what felt like the head bulging on the outside, through my lady garden lol... freaked me out!!

Good luck oi !! Fingers crossed

tye glad you took the sick advice!!

Morning all, Good luck Mmmm - hope everything's OK. I didn't sleep well either, and seem to have broken my back. Grrr!
Mamas and Papas are delivering between 7 and 10.30 this morning, so I had to drag myself out of bed even though I was still very tired. No sign of them yet. And DH used all the milk before he left so I can't even have some cereal. I tell you, we may not reach our first wedding anniversary on Saturday! Imagine leaving a lady in my condition without milk! Shock
I think I've left it too late for the Epi No. I'll have to take my chances. That is, if my plan to give birth this weekend materialises... I'll probably be 2 weeks overdue. (TMI warning!) - I can't ask DH for help with perineal massage, it'd be too near the haemerroidal area!! I don't want to put him off forever! Blush

fusam · 15/11/2011 08:47

Cheese good luck, hope you are feeling a bit better.

LMF I also like your thread title, it makes me smile every time.

I really have no idea how to ask DH for a massage down there that won't end in something else. And these days I really can't be bothered with the something elses....

I have lost my tax documentation folder, balls, crap, . I can hardly use pregnancy brain as an excuse with the HRMC!

DarciesmumandBump2 · 15/11/2011 09:20

I didn't do the massage with DD and didn't tear or graze then and not done it this time either. besides think it would put DP off forever lol.

AWCH DD is very creative. Always drawing, gluing & sticking & card making. You need a craft knife, foam pads, & double sided tape. then cards, backing paper, & embellishments (although you can make your own if you have a colour printer)

hawthers · 15/11/2011 09:39

plu will defer to your superior bump posturing re the biscuits due to lack of energy to stand up let alone fight!

cheese hope you are doing ok

Might be let off the hook re massage. Mw reckoned it doesn't do that much good and tearing is ultimately effected by how good your mw is at the birth so how slowly the head is delivered. We're supposed to breathe out the head - apparently...

sevensevenseven · 15/11/2011 10:16

Morning, don't forget to squeeze.

I had a great nights sleep and feel so much better for it today, DS wants to venture out to the park today, then I should really start on the major clean needed before DD arrives.

mmm hope you're ok, we're bound to have a baby arrive within the next week surely.

oi you must be really excited about your M&P delivery!

cheeptrick · 15/11/2011 10:30

Morning everyone

Cheese hope you are ok

I finally got DH to go out last night and get me some rasberry leaf tea - he is worried i will go into labour when he is not here and just take myself off to delivery ward or that in the hour it takes him to get here he will miss the birth Hmm

Anyone else finding it hard to breath? I feel like there is just no room in my lungs! Everything takes longer to do and i keep banging my bump in doors and safety gates!

MsBuggy - i'm in awe that you can still take DD's out and about and do activities with them. I'm just finding it hard and if i sit for to long i get SPD and its hard to find things that a 2yo can do on his own that is fun and keeps him out of trouble.

Hope everyone has a good day xx

BluebellsintheSpring · 15/11/2011 10:31

Mmmm hope all okay and good luck if you have gone in. Everytime I log on I expect someone to be in the throes of labour these days! It's all going to kick off soon.

Had m/w appnt this morning - all good. Head 2/5ths engaged so a bit of a way to go yet. Forgot to ask about size (she never tells me anything if I don't ask!) I notice in my notes she has written x-1 for fundal height: I wondered does that mean 39 weeks, does anyone know (I'm 37+4)? Anyway - she said to student m/w that's a great baby to feel, no mistaking it - a wonderful back, no confusing that whatsoever. She'd been going on about how lovely and tight bump was so I took it she meant not too much flab, the bump was all baby. Only afterwards, I thought maybe that means big baby with huge back lol! Time will tell!

Right - got to prepare for final interview. Just want it over so I can nest properly.

DarciesmumandBump2 · 15/11/2011 10:35

Nesting must be kicking in high gear. I've hoovered & polished from top to bottom. Got the washing on and just about to mop the kitchen floor!

OiMissus · 15/11/2011 10:42

Good work Darcies! Get thee in a taxi and come and visit me immediately! I'll pay. :) No nesting here. Just minimal surface cleaning activity. I get tired walking upstairs these days, nevermind pushing a hoover around!
M&P delivery has arrived. So our nursery is complete..ly in boxes, waiting until we find and buy and move into a house. :( Such a shame!

DarciesmumandBump2 · 15/11/2011 10:50

Oi I'm shattered now lol. I'm going to sit myself down with a cuppa T, My Grey's Anatomy boxset (Patrick Dempsey is Gorgeous Grin) and make some xmas cards - or at least figure out what cards i'm going to make :)

Shame about your nursery, how is the buying going?

OiMissus · 15/11/2011 11:34

The valuation for the buyers is taking place this morning, so our house sale is going ahead. I don't know yet when they will want to complete. As soon as we have a date, we'll find somewhere to rent. :( I just hope it's after Christmas now. I haven't seen anything on the market that I want to buy. I'm still holding out for the house (springfield) that the owners don't have the deeds for. But that may take time, and may slip from our grip... we'll see. The owners would be daft not to contact us when they are in a position to sell, but I fear that the people who are now renting Springfield may make them a private offer at higher than our agreed price, and they'd have the advantage of not having to pay the estate agent's fee too... I've sent an email to the estate agent this morning, with a note to pass to the owners just confirming our interest, and saying that we will be renting until Springfield comes back onto the market. Hopefully that will give them the guilt factor to contact us!

DarciesmumandBump2 · 15/11/2011 11:39

House buying is so stressful. Thinking of you. Lets hope the Owners of Springfield let you buy.

Mmmmcheese · 15/11/2011 11:39

Just a quick update, thanks for the messages. Pains got worse and started shaking really badly and felt sick so went to hospital. Still getting some pain and tightenings but calmed down a lot now and not at all dilated so looks like they're going to let me go home.

Scan says baby is 6lbs 13 so huge for 34+4! Had some interesting discussions about steroids, will update later but basically they're happy for me not to have them as at this stage not much evidence that they do anything and only 2 days off the cut-off anyway.

Glad can come home but really can't face the thought of these pains continuing for days/weeks. Of course better for baby if she goes to term but this pain is very wearing.

DarciesmumandBump2 · 15/11/2011 11:44

Cheese Hopefully some rest will help ease the pain a little. thinking of you.

DarciesmumandBump2 · 15/11/2011 11:47

Baby has hiccups again!!!!

HoneyLovesCake · 15/11/2011 11:57

Morning all; it's taken me ages to read through all your messages; we'll definitely be on a new thread by the end of the day at this rate Shock

Had my MW appt this morning, was supposed to be a quick one to take blood but we got chatting & I managed to convince her to make it my 38wk A/N appt as I'm 37+4 now & it saves me trekking to the surgery. Hopefully it will be my last appt Hmm but I think not. baby is 2-3/5ths palp so half way there!!! I can breath a bit better these days but do get the odd eye watering sensation downstairs. She dropped off the home birth box & I'm pleased to report it's a turquoise-y cerulean blue colour which goes perfectly with my colour scheme Grin

kri5ty I couldn't get to grips with the perineal massage at all...I can get both thumbs in but it all seems back to front & very confusing; I just couldn't work out how to do it. Epi-no is a godsend for me...nice & simple with measurable results.

Have to get to work...been given LOADS to do this week & if I'm taking ML after next week I'd like to do as much as possible. Hope you all have a lovely restfulo BH-free day :)

OiMissus · 15/11/2011 12:04

Mmmm get drinking the Cranberry juice! I'm sure they will have checked your urine, but it was water infections that had started mine and sorelip's problems - without us knowing that we had infections. You are right, we can all do without painful contractions that don't go anywhere!
Take care.

AwomancalledHorse · 15/11/2011 12:07

There was me thinking it would take until Thursday to fill this thread!

Glad of the update Cheese, hope the pains get better & you're tucked up in bed (at home), soon.

Darcies, Really (a trashy tv channel) have just started showing Greys from season 1, a few episodes into season 2 & I'm ever so slightly addicted, thankfully it's on 3 times a week! Grin
Is it worth shelling out more on the card embellishements/other stuff from Hobbycraft, is the quality much better, or I am better off on eBay?

Oi, hope you guilt them into a sale soon...have you mentioned you're having a baaaaabeeee?! Grin

Managed a proper nights sleep last night (went to bed at the same time as DH & everythunk), although feeling more shattered than usual!

Evening Primrose Oil....I've read a few things that say sticking some up your baby hole can help soften it/bring on labour etc, is there any reasons NOT to try it (quick google search didn't say it could harm either baby or mum, but just wondering if it's uncomfortable/iccky to have EPO leaking out)?

DarciesmumandBump2 · 15/11/2011 12:14

AWCH I'm addicted to Greys :) DP brought me seasons 1-5 boxset for xmas last year, so season 6 & 7 are on my xmas list this year hehe. Can't get enough of Patrick Dempsey.
E-bay is brilliant, Hobbycraft are okay but very expensive.

Never heard that re: EPO.

sevensevenseven · 15/11/2011 12:35

mmm glad you're ok, hope they release you soon!

I've heard of people using EPO but I didn't know what you were meant to do with it! No idea whether it works or is just an old wives tale though. If you're going to try it just make sure you're wearing a pad to avoid oily pants/trousers!

We had fun at the park and gathered some leaves on the way home to make an autumn collage this afternoon, so much for the cleaning!

LittleMissFlustered · 15/11/2011 12:45

I've dumped kids at school, run a toddler group, picked up prescriptions and forced myself to eat something. I desperately want to go to sleep but there is no time!:(

figgygal · 15/11/2011 12:47

Another Grey's anatomy lover here, never be as good as series 2 though with Izzy and Denny (I am in love with Jeffrey Dean Morgan).

I have officially opted out of the massage going to take my chances!! What a rebel!! Am drinking the tea so baby is going to shoot out of me isnt he and i wont have to worry about tearing anyway.

I was 3 or 4/5ths engaged yesterday at my appointment so pleased with that though today he is booting me with renewed vigour and my bump is just dancing about.

I have a new craving........marshmallows!! I am desperate for them they are just on my mind permanently going to have to go out at lunch and get some i think. Havent had cravings really so far so not sure whether to put this one down to gluttony or a genuine craving, in fact am off to get some now!!

DarciesmumandBump2 · 15/11/2011 12:58

Figgy How you feeling today? Marshmellows are bleurgh...

lalababy · 15/11/2011 13:25

Well I guess I am not the only person who can't sleep at night. God I have the worst heartburn in the world. Sorry in Advance for the gross out... but ... everytime I lie down I get all this stomach acid in my chest and throat. I was wondering if anyone had any tips on what to do? I have been trying to sleep with my upper boady raised - and while it helps I find it uncomfortable to sleep that way. The only other thing left to try is no eating post 6:00pm!

mopsytop · 15/11/2011 13:28

Me too lala and as for the vomit burps UGH and OW! (sorry if TMI). I just neck loads of gaviscon ...
