Sorry for the new thread and crap name but i needed to start one oi how are you doing good luck xxx

I have fallen off the face of MN for a week or so and have loadsss to catch up on! I have been busy doing coursework and seriously nesting!!

PGP is awful, to the point of making me cry, finally got a pyshio app, but not for another 2 weeks :( doesnt seem much point. OH continues not to even attempt a massage if i ask and rolls his eyes.

Been having really bad shooting pains that take my breath away, but seems as though baby is head down (and very low) im guessing its a nerve he is on.

Very strange and TMI... but earlier (when i went to the toilet) i could feel what felt like the head bulging on the outside, through my lady garden lol... freaked me out!!

Good luck oi !! Fingers crossed

tye glad you took the sick advice!!

Oi that's exactly what we had for dinner last night - field mushrooms and courgettes fried with garlic and marsala and thyme, with some blue cheese melted into the hot pasta at the end. Are you a riverford veg box customer too by any chance??

Also fear not re: Springfield. They know you wanted it and if they rent it and if the renters want to buy it and if they manage to find the deeds (which is a lot of ifs!!) I'm sure they'll contact you in the hopes of sparking a bidding war and getting more money for it, or they are muppets.

Thread titles (courtesy of Queen Greatest Hits currently playing here while DH we clear up after dinner):
I want to break free
Under pressure
Don't stop me now
Hammer to fall

Xiaoxiong · 14/11/2011 21:19

kri5ty · 14/11/2011 21:21

DD1 has said she wants to start nursing again when DD3 is born...I'll already be tandem nursing as DD2 is a milk monster, so DD1 and I have agreed that if she does want to nurse she has to wait for one of the little ones to be asleep at night, then she can try. I doubt she'll still be able to latch even though she did only wean 3mths ago! If she does start again I can cope fine with nursing her once a day though.

LMF I like that thread title!

I had a total meltdown this evening, tired and emotional! So I'm feeling like a crap Mum, especially as sweet DD2 has been being very generous with the 'nice warm kisses' to cheer me up and DD1 was telling me that I'll feel better tomorrow because we're going to see our friends. Aaaaaaand now I'm going to have an over emotional moment about how lovely the DDs are!

KateM77 · 14/11/2011 21:36

I'm still backing your new thread name LMF

Just finished the last batch of food for DD for the freezer. I don't need to worry about things for us because DH will do our cooking. DH is doing the second coat of paint in DD's new bedroom, so that will soon be finished and we can move her out of the nursery. Things are starting to come together now so I'm feeling a bit more prepared for the new arrival. Still nowhere with getting Christmas sorted though, other than for the DC's, but trying to put that in perspective - think internet shopping will be my saviour!

AwomancalledHorse · 14/11/2011 21:37

Oooh Darcies! Love the cards, they all look awesome & vv professional, you've inspired me to ask for a proper card crafting kit this Christmas (people have been asking me what I want, and I can't think of anything not baby related)! Glad that your DD is into it too, I've found that all of the children I know/know of aren't encouraged to craft at home :(

Kri5ty, I'm in stitches over your posts re.massages. I'm going to ask DH to give me one later...no way I could reach (short arms+big bump!), just hope it doesn't turn into sex (waaay too uncomfortable for sex atm).

I think I'm starting to like the taste of raspberry leaf tea Shock

sevensevenseven · 14/11/2011 21:41

msbuggy your DD's sound like lovely little girls, hope you feel better tomorrow.

kristy I can't reach with 2 either, though I'm assuming a half-arsed attempt is better than not trying at all.

kri5ty · 14/11/2011 21:44

awch lol... i just dont understand how you are ment to do it yourself Confused

If there had been a fly on the wall, then it would have been in stitches watching me try!!

I may tell a white lie and say i have been to the mw and she said OH has to do it... but seems as though he wont give me a back rub, i doubt he will do this!!!

Guess im just destined to tear, then again im having an epidural, so will prob need episiotemy (spelt wrong?) anyway!

msbuggy sorry youre so emotional... i think i would be with your DDs!! They sound lovely x

AWCH I found the answer when DH was trying his luck the other day, I mentioned how nipple stimulation can bring on labour. He looked terrified and ran a mile :o

kri5ty · 14/11/2011 21:46

seven a half arsed attempt it will be for me too!! I must still be doing it wrong though as it doesnt feel anyway near as tingly as i expected... and (again tmi)... but sex the other day stung like a bastard a lot as i hadnt been able to manage it for a lonnng time!

kri5ty · 14/11/2011 21:48

there has to be a gadget to help lol... im taking this to the pregnancy forum haha

OP posts:
mopsytop · 14/11/2011 21:51

I was all for doing the perineal massage. Now I can't be arsed. Maybe I should motivate myself ...

figgy your eyesight can be affected when pregnant, I think for same reason ankles swell up - something to do with the curve of the cornea changing due to water retention (?). It goes back to normal afterwards. Would need to look it up for exact details ...

I, too, had checks on Friday for the pre-eclampsia, will be checked again this Friday. All seems fine but it's just another thing to add to the anxiety pile, which is growing daily :( need to chill.

BeeMyBaby · 14/11/2011 22:09

I tried to get DH to do the massage but he just got turned on, not that I mind as I'm hoping it will help bring on labour one of these days... To be fair I never bothered with the massage (or had even heard of it last time) and was lucky enough not to tear.

Kri5ty your epidural might do you good re tearing as you hopefully won't rush the pushing stage etc. which I believe is what can make tearing worse, best to just take it slowly.

sevensevenseven · 14/11/2011 22:16

kristy how have you been doing it? I had been doing it sitting up but tried laying on my side earlier which seemed much more effective, I can still feel a slight tingling now which I haven't had before.

LittleMissFlustered · 14/11/2011 22:39

I've not torn, once with an epidural and once without. I must have extra Lycra in my fanjo:o

plupervert · 14/11/2011 23:03

Oooh, msbuggywinkle, I had a pain in a specific place for a while, and a midwife told me it was the baby's bottom! I was being goosed! Could that be what's happening to you, too?!

Mmmmcheese, just remember a typo is a one-off mistake; spelling mistakes are more deeply rooted! It is a rather excellent blog, isn't it?

Good to hear things have cleared up for you, cheeptrick.

hawthers, of course you're not the only one who can eat so many biscuits! D'you really think you're 'arder than all of us?

Sorelip · 14/11/2011 23:18

plu the test results were in my poxy book, and nobody bothered to read them. Grrrr! i'll post on here when I start labour, and maybe I'll see you there :)

I just read my notes, and the head is 4/5ths palpable, so maybe he is discovering the way out. However, if he is anything like his father, he'll want to stay where it's warm, dark, and endless food.

kri5ty · 15/11/2011 01:26

Grr can't sleep as OH didn't go to bed until gone half 11, now I'm lying awake pissed off I can't sleep... got so much to do tomorrow as well :( so have to be up early!

Tempted to take one of my old sleeping tablets tomorrow night, just so I can sleep, guessing just one couldn't do any harm now bump is formed?

OP posts:
Mmmmcheese · 15/11/2011 03:09

I've been up for the past hour and a half wondering whether to wake up DH and DS and go to the hospital as woke up with really bad cramping pain in lower bump and back. Tightenings on and off too but not regular. Dont want to have to wake up ds and take him to chikdminder in the middle of the night if a false alarm, but am still unde 35 weeks so would need steroids if labour is happening. So difficult! Just cant get comfortable in any position.

Think will guve it another hour or so as pain not getting any worse. Why do these things always happen in the middle of the nigtht?!

Mmmmcheese · 15/11/2011 03:15

kristy personally i wouldnt chance taking a sleeping tablet as you just dont know what effect it could have. And if anything were tongo wrong (although im sure it wont) you might always wonder if it was the tablet that caused it and that would be v hard to deal with. I sympathise though with the sleeplessness. I think the most ive had over the last week is 4 hours a night.

Xiaoxiong · 15/11/2011 05:09

Sorry to see I'm not the only one up - have been awake since 3.45 Angry

kristy if you're looking for a gadget get yourself an Epi-no PDQ - massage by DH led to a certain amount of marital disharmony (he got upset that he was supposed to hurt me) so the Epi-no has been great as I can do it myself.

Xiaoxiong · 15/11/2011 05:10

Oooh cheese just saw your message - how is it going?

msbuggywinkle · 15/11/2011 08:17

Well, I did sleep last night...but woke up about every 2 hours and I have woken up with a very clunky feeling back!

Off to home ed group today, then to a friend's house to make dinosaur eggs, I need to make sure I have made dinner before we go as I will be bringing home very tired children!

msbuggywinkle · 15/11/2011 08:17

cheese good luck if you have gone in!

DarciesmumandBump2 · 15/11/2011 08:27

Morning Ladies,

Cheese hope your alright?

I slept on and off last night, still feel heavy but cramps seem to died down a little :)
