Sorry for the new thread and crap name but i needed to start one oi how are you doing good luck xxx

I have fallen off the face of MN for a week or so and have loadsss to catch up on! I have been busy doing coursework and seriously nesting!!

PGP is awful, to the point of making me cry, finally got a pyshio app, but not for another 2 weeks :( doesnt seem much point. OH continues not to even attempt a massage if i ask and rolls his eyes.

Been having really bad shooting pains that take my breath away, but seems as though baby is head down (and very low) im guessing its a nerve he is on.

Very strange and TMI... but earlier (when i went to the toilet) i could feel what felt like the head bulging on the outside, through my lady garden lol... freaked me out!!

Good luck oi !! Fingers crossed

tye glad you took the sick advice!!

Weird tyel the link works fine for me...anyway it is a folk song called 'Gently Johnny' sung by Damh the Bard, I'm in the audience that it was videoed at too! I am aware that I have odd taste in music!

KateM77 · 14/11/2011 13:10

I've got the same playlist as I had for DD's birth. Lots of long songs with big guitar solo's that I can get lost in, like Pink Floyd Wish You Were Here, Lynrd Skynrd Freebird. I realise I now sound very old based on my music choices, but there's quite a range on there actually, up to Florence + The Machine. I've also got some chill-out stuff and classical for as and when I want something more soothing.

KateM77 · 14/11/2011 13:11

msbuggy it sent me to a Jonh Lewis Christmas advert which wouldn't play on firefox!

DarciesmumandBump2 · 14/11/2011 13:19

I've just got a range of music from 80s,90s,noughties. from rock n roll, pop, easy listening. As long as I have Bon Jovi & Take that i'm one happy lady :)

Xiaoxiong · 14/11/2011 13:22

Ooh mrsbuggy I love that song, not odd at all!! I suspect we may have similar tastes in music. Do your DDs ever listen to you are my flower, Elizabeth Mitchell's folk albums for kids? They're absolutely fantastic - her 10 year old daughter plays in the band now with her parents.

KateM77 · 14/11/2011 13:22

Pretty sure both Bon Jovi and Take That feature on my list too :)

DarciesmumandBump2 · 14/11/2011 13:35

We are all Bon Jovi fans in this house, DP & I always go and see him when he's on tour over here. DD can't wait till shes a little older so she can come along too :)

msbuggywinkle · 14/11/2011 13:50

Blah! Must be something to do with linking on the iPad I assume.

tyel we love those albums!

cheeptrick · 14/11/2011 14:14

Lala - i dont son had a sleep and now out with GP's as i find getting up and down on sofa to fetch food, drinks, toys and getting down on the floor to change his pants just painful now. I'm so big and things hurt that i find it hard looking after him Sad

Another Bon Jovi fan here Grin I have yet to update ipod its in DH car and i keep forgetting to bring it in!

I'm deciding weather to have beans on toast or soup and toast, i just can't decided Confused Everything takes twice as long when pg.

I just want to give birth and plan xmas now Sad

lalababy · 14/11/2011 14:42

Cheep I am sorry you are struggling... but in a sence it is also a relief to know that I am not the only one who is finding getting big challenging.

I finally worked out why they call it a bump... it is coz I loose track of how big it is and keep bumping it into things!!!

sevensevenseven · 14/11/2011 16:30

Our estimates:

oimissus 20.11.11 (38wks+2)
darcies 22.11.11
seven 22.11 - 29.11 (36-37 weeks)
kate beyond 22.11.11 (37+3)
cheep 23.11.11
tyel 25.11 ? 3.12.11
hawthers 8-10.12.11 (38 -38+3)
msbuggy 10.12.11 (39wks)
mopsy 16-18.12.11 (38+5 ? 39)
sorelip 18.12.11

Just changing my estimate, although DH thinks I'll go into labour this week.

My blood pressure went up a little in the end so I gave up on trying to get hold of my MW. Very frustrating though as the maternity assessment unit number isn't in my notes. I can either phone my MW or the delivery suite who tell you to ring the MW if it isn't urgent.

sevensevenseven · 14/11/2011 16:33

Meant to say sorelip I'm sorry you've had such a crap day.

cheep I was so uncomfy playing on the floor with DS yesterday, I'm just getting too big. I had to sit leaning back to stop my lungs feeling squashed.

BluebellsintheSpring · 14/11/2011 16:35

Tried to copy and paste OiMissus but sometimes just too fiddly on the I phone or more probably that's just me. I'm going for 26th Nov (39 weeks).

Tyel v impressed at your 8 cm. I have ignored the Epi-No for weeks and just got it out again yesterday but am determined to practice every day now. Had so many friends who really struggled with pushing stage with first birth and ended up with interventions - generally have always been fine with subsequent births it just seems first ones are particularly tricky. I only managed 4cm though so have a long way to go.

msbuggywinkle · 14/11/2011 16:38

seven have you tried sitting in tailor pose <a class="break-all" href="http://www.google.co.uk/imgres?q=tailor+pose&hl=en&client=safari&sa=X&tbo=d&tbm=isch&prmd=ivns&tbnid=srMgZq5K13Hq7M:&imgrefurl=groups.yahoo.com/group/Indo-Eurasian_research/message/7000&docid=TxTQp27sNVLFDM&imgurl=lib.ru/URIKOVA/SANTEM/SVATMARAMA/fig11.gif&w=454&h=432&ei=bkPBTvunIMa08QOZ482bBA&zoom=1&biw=1024&bih=672" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">it is the only way I can get comfortable on the floor, seems to give baby a bit more room!

I'm with those who are finding things harder to do, we're going out a lot less than normal, inviting everyone here to play instead.

hawthers · 14/11/2011 16:39

still have my head in the sand about the whole epi no/perineal massage - do i really have to?

i'm finding it increasingly hard to do anything at the moment - just feel soo massive and tired all the time. only 4 more days left at work which is a massive relief but also rather worrying due to teh amount that needs to be done before I head off - oh dear....

sevensevenseven · 14/11/2011 16:48

Thanks msbuggy. She's quite low today so it's not too bad but will definitely try it next time she's high up.

HoneyLovesCake · 14/11/2011 16:55

Tyel I am Envy of your 8cm I managed 6cm on Saturday but only 5 1/2cm yesterday which made me very Angry

MW didn't turn up to take my blood for iron levels today but she's coming in the morning & is dropping off my home birth kit...no idea what's in it but it sounds exciting & makes the birth seem imminent. Grin

To clarify...this list of estimates; is it when we're hoping LO will appear or when we actually think they will?

lala I'm still working (37+3) but I work from home & I'm really struggling...I have no idea how others make themselves look presentable & drag themselves into offices everyday...very impressed by you all.

kri5ty · 14/11/2011 17:00

Hmm I would love to be early... but I honestly think I'll be late and he will come 27/12/11 (42 weeks)

Afternoon all

Well had an emergency appointment with MW today as my vision all funny, felt sick and my feet and ankles have blown up like the incredible hulk looks like BP is fine and no protein in urine so not pre-eclampsia but very strange. Finishing work next week at 38 weeks can't wAit although still worried about being bored.

Isnt it funny we al Thinking we gonna be early im exactly the same wishful thinking i expect. Baby is engaged though yaay.

Xiaoxiong · 14/11/2011 17:43

Honey the home birth kit dropped off by our MW is contained in a huge yellow bucket with a biohazard sign on the side. It adds a certain je ne sais quoi to our decor as it squats balefully in the corner of the living room...

HoneyLovesCake · 14/11/2011 17:50

Yellow Confused Ooooh no I don't think so....I've been decorating for months, that just won't do. Doesn't it come in Eau de Nil Grin

DarciesmumandBump2 · 14/11/2011 18:00

Cheep hope you feel better soon, sorry to see your struggling.

Seven How you doing?

Figgy How you feeling now? is your MW going to keep an eye on you?

I'm going to hoover & polish tomorrow and mop my kitchen floor as looking a bit grubby, and then i'm going to make some christmas cards. :)

mopsytop · 14/11/2011 18:02

AwomancalledHorse · 14/11/2011 18:08

Good God you people like to natter! Shock Only been away for 3 days and another thread almost full (I give it until Thursday before we need a new one)!

Sorry everyone is feeling uncomfortable...not long now (fingers crossed)! Figgy, did MW have any idea what the problem was?

Tyel I am v.jealous of your yellow bin daaahhhling, I shall have to decorate mine with tinsel when it gets here.

Darcies, have fun making christmas cards (and cleaning, I guess!)...do you always make your own?

Hmm at sharing a thread with you Bon Jovi fans! DH loves them but I really can't stand them!

DarciesmumandBump2 · 14/11/2011 18:08

maybe lol! Don't want to get ahead of myself now lol
