Oh that's a relief liz, I bet you're so pleased! I hope it clears up soon.

Just realised that it has been a year today since the first time we saw poppy on a screen at our first scan :)

SpaghettiTwirlerAndProud · 11/11/2011 19:05

Oh and yes gruff, I really want a greyhound, first time I suggested one to simon he told me to fuck off Hmm but he's all of a sudden changed his mind! But we're going to take it steady and not rush into getting one. Going to get as much info as I can and read up about keeping retired greys as pets.

lizandlulu · 12/11/2011 08:45

morning all, thanks for all your wishes, she seems fine in herself this morning, happy and smiley, the rash is stil there but not no worse.

melly you will love a greyhound, they are lovely. chris 'borrowed' a saluki hound this week (what he means is that hes bought it but not got the balls to tell me and thinks i will believe that hes borrowed it to see what sort of dog it isHmm) and that looks a cute thing. got fluffy earsGrin

MadKatz · 13/11/2011 01:29

Morning ladies!

Colic still bad here but Sophie is now old enough to take gripe water which seems to be working. But she also has a cold which is causing her to sleep longer Grin

One day we WILL have a dog. Can't at the mo as we're renting and no pets allowed Sad but would love a weinmariner.

MadKatz · 13/11/2011 01:46

Lol liz at Chris' borrowing!

WombOnTheBroom · 13/11/2011 09:53

I love the idea of borrowing a dog. Hilarious! Tom had a few post-viral rashes when he was tiddly. bloody frightening. But docs were always very happy to see him to check - just in case it was anything worse.

Glad Sophie's sleeping a wee bit better - will give you a bit of a break.

Flo's teething again. Can't work out if it's the rest of the two teeth she's already got or the ones on top (they're kind of the back teeth but one, IYSWIM?). Poor mite is struggling to feed as she's got sore jaws.

KLou111 · 13/11/2011 19:28

Greyhounds are lovely melly, such a nice temperament.

Liz hope all ok with Violet, and hope you've enjoyed your shopping :)

Madkatz hope all OK. Gripe water was out saviour when it was needed. Thankfully Euan didn't have a huge problem with wind, but I found gripe did the job. Our friends had a weinmariner puppy about 6 years ago. They only had it 6 months as it managed to chew/scratch a hole through one of their internal false walls!!! They were gutted that they had to get rid of her, she was beautiful, but such a handful lol!!

Poor little Flo with her teeth womb :(

All OK here. Euan still as gorgeous as ever. He's 3 months old today :)
9 days til holiday woooooohooooooo!!

Hope you're OK iwish x

klou the pics are lovely!!!

how are you all?

well shopping was good, although the bed in the travelodge was crap and gave me a bad back/shoulderSad and thr bloody baby slept through for the first time!!! chris put her to bed at 7, she woke at 1.30 but by the time he got a bottle shed gone back to sleep, then again at 5 but she drifted off again, and she woke at 7 but happy to be in cot so he left her there till 8Shock

yet last night, caus i was back she woke at 11.30 and 5,30!!

MadKatz · 14/11/2011 13:40

OMG Klou that photo is well cute!!!

lizandlulu · 14/11/2011 19:41

are you getting cards printed klou?

well i have bought some rusks but dont know what to do with themBlush lulu never had them really, i cant remember mashing them up or anything like that, i dont know if thats the best thing to do with them as a 'supper'

not a thing passed lulu's lips till she was 6 months, but i am going to have to do violet sooner i think, i might wait another 3-4 weeks. see how her sleeping goes, but if abit of rusk at night helps her sleep through, i am all for itGrin

got her injections tomorrow

KLou111 · 14/11/2011 19:54

Yes getting the cards printed at vistaprint along with the calendars.

Well, talking if rusk, we gave Euan a spoon of rice at lunchtime. The hv the other day said if we felt he needed it, then she said just give it to him. He's having around 35oz plus per day and she said that she hoped we would get to his 16 week appt before feeding him anything but she understood if we needed to. She also said guidelines are a recommendation and all babies are different.
Tbh I felt a bit aprehensive as obv I want the best for our little man. So far so good.
I don't think we are going to properly wean him til 4 months, just give him tasters til then.

OP posts:
lizandlulu · 14/11/2011 20:07

how much are the cards?

KLou111 · 14/11/2011 20:20

They were £4.99 for 30. It was free 14 day delivery til Saturday for orders over £10 via an email I had from them, hence I did the calendars too.

OP posts:
KLou111 · 15/11/2011 06:51

Well, don't know if its a coincidence with the food, or a one off, but Euey did 6.30pm-1am, 1.20am-6.30am!!!!!
He looks so much happier for it too.
Also bought him a love nest pillow too for the flat bit in the back of his head, which arrived yesterday, so that may have something to do with it too. It may be relieving him of pressure (even though it was no where near his head this morning, but further up his cot lol!)

OP posts:
lizandlulu · 15/11/2011 09:53

i would put it down to the food klou for definate, how much is he having? violet seems to be going backwards, last night she was awake at 1.30 and 5,30.Sad i think i am going to try abit of rusk at tea time

KLou111 · 15/11/2011 09:59

He only had a teaspoon at 11am. I ate the rest lol, wasn't too bad actually! As soon as we know he's ok on it, we can switch him to 6pm ish.

Might be worth a go with Violet. How old is she now?

OP posts:
lizandlulu · 15/11/2011 10:36

shes 4 months and 1 week on thursday. i really really dont like the whole putting baby rice in the bottle thing which is what alot of people do, so i am going totry the rusk tonight. i wanted t give it her as a supper, but a friend has warned its very messy and she does it before bath time. so i think the best thing to di, is give her the bottle she usually has around 5 ish, followed by trying abit of rusk. then see if she still wants the bedtime bottle at 6.30

KLou111 · 15/11/2011 11:26

Is rusk like the rice? Haven't a clue! It's like semolina the rice. He just had a spoonful and a bit. It is a little messy but I only give him the tiniest bit on the end of the spoon at a time so he gets it all in. Seems to really like it, and he polished off 7oz of milk too!!!
Think will give it him in the evening instead around the end of the week. Just want to make sure if there are any probs, its in the day rather than night.
Was considering the bottle thing but you read really bad things about it so am not too sure.

Hi lovely ladies! How are you all? Sorry havnt been on for a while.

klou Euan looks gorgeous in his Santa suit!! Fab about his sleeping too.

liz how did violets injections go?

melly hope you are doing ok?

gruff poor little flo with her teeth. Hope it's not too u comfortable for her.

madkatz how are you getting on with the colic? What are you giving her for it?

Sooo much to say...
Joshua's colic still not good and even the colief isn't working so I think I'm going to cut out dairy and see if he has dairy intolerance (I have mild intolerance too)
And the poor little more woke up with a cough and cold this morning. He's been coughing, sneezing and is all snotty and congested. And just to add insult to injury we took him for his first jabs this morning too.

I think his teeth are moving in his gums already too, I think I can see 2 little white buds in his gums and he's really dribbling and chewing his fingers.
Last but not least he has been in his own room for 2 nights! Last night he was asleep at 10:15, up at 2:30 for 1/2 a hour then didn't get up till 7:30!!

Phew!
