We don't do Valentines tbh, although Euey got a card off his Nanny lol!

He will one day just sleep iwish and that'll be it, done. For Euan he went to one waking when we started feeding him rice, then no (proper) wakings when we gave him a pillow!
We were working out yesterday how old he was when we stopped night feeding him, and he was 4 months!

Just tossers aren't they with the car seat! They lost out a nice little bit of money there. Robs nan and grandad gave us quite a bit of money when Euan was born, so they've bought it :)

Did you get your matrix back?

i have found a couple of sales people like that, know-allsSmile what if you wanted to by it to prepare for when he does want to do in it??

that precious little ones is only 15 miles away from me, thats where i got my obaby pram from. its quite a small warehouse type shop, but they do have good website, although they dont do every brand like kiddicare. i have seen the next seat i want for violet, she cant go in it for ages yet so just keep looking at itGrin

Iwish · 14/02/2012 21:00

We used to do things for valentines like go out for tea, flowers, chocs etc but not done it for a few years now.

Yeh got the matrix back klou and it's been fixed. Woohoo. We have just boxed it up and put it in the loft for baby no2 Grin

Joshua was in bed for 7:20 tonight and asleep for 7:30. Hope he sleeps well again. He's only had about a hours sleep today so he should be tired. I bloody am lol.

WombOnTheBroom · 14/02/2012 23:35

Hi all. been flat out here. Hope you have a lovely time at Eurodisney, Liz. And got my fingers crossed for a good night for you Iwish.

Klou, we've got the Axiss (had it for DS). It's great, especially for getting an uncooperative toddler into, and we'll move DD into it when she's older.

I used to work in mothercare about 20 years ago (saturday job) and actually they are really hot on following guidelines. Part of it is that companies like Which? go round checking that they're giving proper advice and not selling the wrong thing. So though I know it's frustrating I kind of understand what she was saying. Also, if you see the videos of crash tests with rear-facing versus forward-facing seats it does make you realise why they're so keen to keep babies rear-facing for as long as possible... We had a similar problem with DS as he was long and we had to move him forward-facing about 9 months (even though his seat was supposed to do him for up to 13 months rear facing).

Sorry will stop rambling now.

All fine here - DD is getting better finally but still snuffly. Am starting to make my arrangements for going back to work - gah! Gotta go now.

lizandlulu · 15/02/2012 08:23

hiya womb glad your all well. time flies and work soon comes round!

well, not a thing for valentines day. not a bean. i got him a card, wasnt expecting much, but a bloody card at the least!! he went to the shops twice last night too and both times come back with nothing. was slightly pissed off.

i said 'would be nice to feel appreciated'

he said 'you know i appreciate you'

ER DO I????????

KLou111 · 15/02/2012 10:14

Hi womb nice to hear from you, and hope everything ok your end. Bet you are dreading the w word!
Totally understood mothercare with the rear facing thing, those crash tests are not nice! She just confused us when she said if he was too long it was fine.

How was Joshua last night iwish? Was it a fluke?

Well, we put a different heater in Euans room last night as the one we were using was quite expensive to run, and you don't know the temp, whereas the new one says the temp, but its a fan, which I was a bit concerned about the noise. Anyway, he woke at 5, I thought if was the fan kicking in, but I went in and it was off, but the red light on the top was really bright!! What is it with heaters and lights?!? Anyway, dummy in, and I woke him then at 8.25 :)
Wish we didn't even have a heater in there, but we don't have gas, just a stove that does our radiators and water, so we fill it with wood before bed but obviously it cools off overnight. It's ok for us, but just concerned about Euan. The heater is set to 19, but I don't think it came on though.

well i feel like the biggest shit in the worldSad turns out the baby had bronchilitisSad the doctor has given her some penicillin and an inhaler to be used as she needs it, which should clear it up, but if she does get worse to take her to the hospitalShock

if i had pushed for her to see the doctort 3 weeks ago when she first got it, it migth not be as bad as it is now. its not got no worse, but its just not getting better.

i feel awful for going to leave her tomorrowSad

lizandlulu · 15/02/2012 15:24

has broncilitis, not had

KLou111 · 15/02/2012 16:04

Omg Liz poor little thing, and poor you :( Don't beat yourself up, you weren't to know what was the matter with her, anyone would have thought it was just a cough or something.
Is your mil ok still ok to look after her? Try to enjoy yourself over the next few days, you deserve it. Now she's been diagnosed, she's being treated, and hopefully she will be mended soon x x x

OP posts:
lizandlulu · 15/02/2012 21:50

yes mil is here and says she will be ok, and chris is only a phone call away at work. like i say, shes not any worse. just feel bad for leaving her when shes not well too.

she isnt poorly in herself, shes all smiles and happy as larry, but does take a while to settle at night, like tonight, bed at 6.15 but had to give her bottle again at 8.15 and shes only settles in the last 10 mins.

i wont be able to get on here till i get back, so you all look after yourselves and i will see you monday/tues

KLou111 · 16/02/2012 21:22

How we doing iwish? How's the little fella? You feeling better?

All good here, although had to buy Euan 9-12 vests and sleepsuits today!! There's about 5 inches more in the sleepsuits lengthwise though lol!
We woke before Euan this morning and all (Bella too) went in to wake him expecting him to stir and wake up, nada! Fast asleep. Felt a bit flat when we turned the light back off and went downstairs! He woke 10 mins later at 8 though :)

OP posts:
Iwish · 17/02/2012 12:06

Hey klou. I'm ok thanks. Feeling loads better. Joshua is ok too. He went to bed at 7:20 last night, up at 10:00 for a feed then he didn't get up till 5:20 for a feed Grin. He got up at 7:30 but he was still tired so brought him in with me for a cuddle and we fell asleep till 10:00!!

Can't believe u have to wake Euan up. Wish I had to wake Joshie up lol. Wow 6-9 month!! Joshua can still get in some 0-3 stuff.

Did you get your grass seed sorted?

KLou111 · 17/02/2012 12:16

Yeah grass done, just hoping it'll grow now. Been put back again selling as neighbours house looks bloody derelict, awful, anyway they're having the outside rendered and insulated next week and following week so can't put it on really til that's all done and scaffolding down. Will do us a huuuuuuge favour selling wise as it does look awful!! Hopefully the grass will grow a bit by then too.

Glad things good your end and what a fab sleep for you!!!! Bet you feel so good!!

Lol Euan in 9-12 vests/sleepsuits not 6-9! His clothes are 6-9 though, hope they do him til end march at least!

Did 12.5hr stint last night so woke at 7.30, dummy in, spat it out, so we were up then lol.

OP posts:
Iwish · 17/02/2012 12:31

Oh liz it's not your fault, you weren't to know!! I'm sure she will be fine with your mil. Enjoy yourself!!

KLou111 · 19/02/2012 10:03

Morning :)
Hope we are all well.

Well had an absolutely shockingly shit night last night.
Euan didn't have a poo at all yesterday and the day before it was like rabbit pellets. Nothings changed, so not sure what's going on. Have been trying to give him more water. Anyway he woke screaming at 10, 11.15, 12, 2.15, 5, then chattering at 7.20 so brought him in with us. Knackered!
Fed him his milk, all went down ok, but on winding him, the LOT projectiled back up. Gave him nurofen at 2.15 and at 8.
He seems happy enough and have given him a couple more oz of milk and he's had his cereal ok. My poor little fella :( Still hasn't pooed.

OP posts:
Iwish · 19/02/2012 10:29

Awww poor little mite. Could you give him cooled boiled water and squeeze some orange juice in? Bet u are shattered too!

Joshua went to bed at 7:30 then was up at 9:30 for feed and 2:50 for a feed then decided that 5:00 was the time to sit and whinge and cry. It took till 6:15 to settle him then he was up at 7:10 for a feed and put him back to bed then at 8:20 was up crying again!!!!! I'm tired. Sent him downstairs with nick and I had half a hours sleep.

Off to church today then nicks dad is coming to see us.

What you up to?

KLou111 · 19/02/2012 12:15

Poor you :( I wonder when Joshua will sleep a bit more. Bet you can't wait just to get him on solids just to see lol!

Think Euan has a cold, nose all runny, sneezing, coughing, off his lunch, but had pudding!! He's had some juice ok, just had some calpol too. Will put him down for a sleep in a min. He pooed earlier and soft so back to normal.
Sunny here so in conservatory, lovely. May go out later if Euan ok.

Enjoy church :)

OP posts:
Iwish · 19/02/2012 19:59

I can't wait till he sleeps more klou. I know he can sleep more than he is doing. When he was sick and slept in our bed he would sleep 8 hours between feeds then strait back to sleep.

Hows Euan?

We went to church then went to a pub for lunch. Was lovely. I did master BFing in the pub while eating my lunch (nice big Cumberland sausage, chips, egg and veg. Yum!! Check out my pic of Joshie on eBay at the pub lol.

Iwish · 19/02/2012 20:25

I mean FB not eBay!!!! Fookin muppet I am.

KLou111 · 19/02/2012 20:37

Great pics, looking a big boy now :)
Euan's poorly poorly :( thing is he can't breathe through his nose so can't really put his dummy in, then cries as wants his dummy. I've got vick on his back, chest, under nose and on his sheet.
Been up to him 3 timed since 6.30. Hopefully not s night on the nursery floor for me!!

OP posts:
Iwish · 19/02/2012 21:11

Awww the poor little thing. It's awful when they can't breathe through their nose. Get some saline nasal drops. We used them on Joshua and they helped unblock his nose. We also put some karvol drops on a tissue at the top of his cot.
Does he sleep on his back?

I can't believe how big he is now, I realised this morning how much he is growing when I had to use the next button on his dungarees. There are 2 buttons depending on how tall he is.
We went swimming yesterday and Joshua just looked totally bored lol. He wasn't excited and just looked around lol.

KLou111 · 20/02/2012 09:13

Morning! Well not too bad a night. Euan woke up crying a couple of times from 8.30-12, then chuntered at 4, 5, 7, then up at 8. Poor little man. Seemed better, but his nose has started running again argh!!! It's awful him crying cos he hardly ever cries! Poor little fella. He's had some calpol and drunk all his milk, so obviously a better appetite today. He's got some Sunday dinner for his lunch so that's the tester!!
Will get some drops later if he's no better.

Ah, Joshua looks lovely, I think they all of a sudden just grow tall lol!
But I also think the clothes shrink a bit too.
Lol with swimming. I think hex probably becoming more aware of things, so prob not interested in the swimming part, as long as he's not getting upset though so thats good.
We took Euan Thursday, got halfway there and rememberer it wasn't on! They close it in half term for some reason. You can still go, but you have to share the pool with loads of other kids splashing around.

How was Disney Liz? Did you both enjoy it?? :)

OP posts:
Iwish · 20/02/2012 11:08

At least he's getting his appetite back, he must be feeling a little better. I bet it was hard with him crying as he's not a cry baby. When Joshua cries I'm used to it because he's always crying/whinging lol.

Lol at driving halfway to swimming and it not being on!! Ive walked up baby clinic to get him weighed on the wrong day Grin

Joshua was in bed at 7:30, up at 11:40 and 3:50 for feeds but was up crying for attention at 2:30, took about 30 mins for him to settle.

Well I'm doing nothing today! Might go for a walk later if the weather gets better.

Hope you had fun liz :)

KLou111 · 20/02/2012 17:59

Evenin' have we had a good day?
Euan been a lot better today, bless him. Been a little bit cryey but not too much, god he's loud!!
Had all his milk and food today so fingers crossed he's on the mend :)
I swear he pretends just to get medicine, he loves it lol!
Just watching his cartoons, now we have sky, he has more than cbeebies lol! Not had it for years, been on freesat for 2, then freeview before that for 4, so been a while! Weren't going to get it as wanted virgin when we move, but they haven't got it where we are looking, do have to have sky anyway (or the free stuff).

We've told one set of neighbours we are putting the house up for sale. They are not happy with us lol. Think they're a bit gutted, we get on really well, and they're the best neighbours we've ever had tbh, the typical knock on the door if you need something sort of thing, but got to love on :)
