First agent down. Bloody useless, phoning later with valuation. Wtf?? In the midlands they tell you there and then!!

OP posts:
KLou111 · 10/01/2012 13:08

Happy happy happy!! Agents been, 2nd one told us 180-185k, not bad considering we paid 105k 2.5 years ago Grin Granted, we've prob spent 35k on it, but not bad considering its a shite market!! She said it had a nice feel to it, and in a good marker, over 200k!!! We thought around 175k so would be happy with that. Going to put it on end Feb/beg march when garden done.
Got to ring round digger drivers tomorrow, and gravel people to do our drive and pathways. Fingers crossed it goes quick :)
Going to book a 2 week hol hopefully for mid Feb-end march so we need to get cracking!!

woo hoo klou oyu know how to get things movingSmile

i am taking lulu to euro disney middle of feb is half term, just me and her, chris is going on a stag doo beginning of march and with the relationship tense between him and dad he doesnt want to ask for time off work so close together. i am not entirely sure whats happening with the baby, i asked mil if she would come and look after her and she will no probs, but then chris said he wants to have her when hes not at work. so not sure. only going for 2 nights so not too long. if it was going to be me and chris it would have been all of us, and mil offered to come with us and watch the baby while i went on rides etc with lulu, but i think if we arent going for very long the baby will slow us down! i would have to time everything around her and would still feel that i had to do everything for her even if mil offered, so its easier to leave her here

Iwish · 11/01/2012 13:17

That's fab klou have you seen a house youd like to move to?

liz I bet lulu is v excited! Bet she will enjoy the time alone with you too.

Joshua only woke once last night at 3:3 and slept till 9:10. Lovely! He also had 3 naps yesterday, 2 over them were half a hour and 1 was 2 1/2 hours. May be because he had his last set of jabs that he was tired.

Putting him in the big boy pram instead of the carseat/carrycot now. He looks so tiny in it! The carseat/carrycot is broken so we are sending it off to be repaired and mum has bought us a proper car seat.

KLou111 · 11/01/2012 16:06

That will be great Liz bet lulu is so excited!! I've never been, Rob went when it first opened when he was 18 (20 years ago this may!) Is like to take Euan (and his bro or sis :) ) when they're a bit older, you'll have so much fun!!

Seen quite a few house iwish that we like(d). Went through them last night, was about 7. All except 1 were north facing, so were all a no cos we like the sun, and the one we liked the most as it had a big garden and conservatory, had no dining room!! Wtf?? 4 bed detached modern family house with no dining room?? A conservatory is not the answer either cos you cant use it all year. The one thing we want is a dining room now being a family, and for entertaining. Can't get over how old some of them look inside too, bloody awful. Need new kitchens, bathrooms etc, and we can't be bothered to do it all again. Maybe a kitchen, but that's it. But some aren't even double glazed and only 15-20 years old!! The best one is the one we originally found just down from my parents, its totally done and the cheapest which we don't get, by about 20k too!! Might have split up perhaps??
Not a lot out there at the mo though.

Find the pram so much easier than putting the carrycot on ours iwish cos it all folds down without having to take it apart.
Well dobe Joshua on his sleeping! Bet you feel great.
We had an odd night. Euan was being fussy with his milk yesterday, and think it had a knock on effect cos he woke at 3.45, 5, 6.15, then properly at 7.30 so I fed him then. He just kept chuntering to himself. Has been better today milk wise. God we didn't half notice it when we've been used to him sleeping!!

OP posts:
KLou111 · 11/01/2012 16:11

Oh we got the valuation from the first agent and they said 175-180 :) Git another out tomorrow but thinking 179,995 to get 175 :) fingers crossed it sells.
Before the agents came we said the lowest we'd move for was 155, but think would rather let it out now than that!!

OP posts:
KLou111 · 11/01/2012 20:19

Well, we have just found 'our' house. Totally over budget by 30k but by god its beautiful! Totally done, gorgeous conservatory, stunning garden too. Made us question how overpriced the ones we've been looking at though with all the work they need!!

OP posts:
Iwish · 11/01/2012 20:34

Oooh maybe you could try and go in under asking price and see what they say. They might consider since not much is selling.
Did he wake crying every time he woke or does he just chat away to himself?
I need to see if the pram will fit in my boot now. The frame fits in with the wheels taken off but not sure what it'll be like with the pram body in.
Have you got a carseat for Euan now or are you using the matrix?

KLou111 · 11/01/2012 21:08

That's what we thought :) we can push another 10 if its done, but rather not go any more. Think a divorce or something cos it was brand new Dec 06 and they're selling it already 100k less than they paid for it!! Unless something else going on, hmm....
Euan was just chatting and cooing when he woke, makes us smile though, he sounds like he's having a whale of a time!
We're using the matrix upright rear facing at the mo. Prob get another one at around 7/8 months as he's getting long, but also we want him facing forwards cos we can't see him!!

OP posts:
lizandlulu · 11/01/2012 22:58

evenig all, been to the cinema and didnt realise i was going to miss one born every miuiteSad (why, at 31 cant i spell minuite??)

re car seats, violet is much happier in a forward facing seat, she doesnt hardly grumble in it wheras in the rear facing seat she used to cry every time i put her in it! she likes to see where shes going

well euro disney is booked!! only going for 2 nights, i didnt want to leave hte baby for any longer, booked in for dinner with mickey too, going on a thursday to sat, so cant wait!!

got to go bed now speak tomorrow

lizandlulu · 11/01/2012 22:58

oh and house sounds lovely tho klou def try for itSmile

Iwish · 12/01/2012 09:04

Lol maybe she's buried her DH under the patio so wants to sell quick!
Joshua's feet are almost at the end of the matrix now. Although his head isn't touching the top yet.

Hope you enjoyed the cinema liz I have recorded OBEM. I knew I wouldn't end up watching it lol.
Oooh dinner with mickey! Sounds fun. Lulu will love it I bet.

Well Joshua was up for feeds at 11 and 4 last night but up at 12:40 doing a bit of a cry do I just shoved his dummy in and went back to bed.

KLou111 · 12/01/2012 12:33

Ha ha ha iwish shoved his dummy in!!
Euans feet are at the end, he sits with them slightly bent, feet together but can still kick about and he doesn't moan too much!!

Hope you enjoyed the cinema Liz and its minute Wink

Digger driver coming Sunday morning to do quote.

Robs ready to jump in the car and go see this house lmao. From the piccies, it was put on in summer, but another agent has it too now where all the garden furniture is packed away, and more winter looking so looks like its been up a while.
Oh, and think we got the wrong house number as the other houses down the street (Google earth) are freaking huge so can't be one if the more expensive ones and dropped 100k lol! There are 2 houses that are smaller (4 bed instead of 5-6!) and were cheaper. We thought that would be a bit of a big drop!!
At the mo there are fields out the back but we know they'll be building there eventually so maybe that's why they want to go.

My mum and dad live on the next estate, about 5-10 min walk, so may get them to go and have a walk or drive round. They've lived there nearly 24 years, and we were one of the first to move in, and they haven't stopped building since!! Not that it affects them as their estate finished about 2-3 years after we moved in.
Could do with seeing a building plan.

OP posts:
KLou111 · 12/01/2012 12:35

Oh, Euan did 6.50pm-6.35am straight, dummy in as he wouldn't shut up, awake at 7.40.

And dinner with mickey does sound fab!!!

www.rightmove.co.uk/property-for-sale/property-31093507.html/nomsite house
Not too keen on the look of it outside as a bit of a box lol! Lounge looks really narrow, but only 1/2 foot thinner than my parents, and theirs is nice so maybe furniture making it look small.

OP posts:
KLou111 · 12/01/2012 12:48

Lol, just re read info and dining room seems tiny, god we're never gonna find one that ticks all the boxes at this rate!!!

OP posts:
Iwish · 12/01/2012 18:39

Omg klou that house is about twice as big as mine lol!!

Ha yeh I just walked in, picked up dummy and put it in his mouth and walked out.

lizandlulu · 12/01/2012 18:53

ohh klou nice!!! very nice, lovely garden and decking area. i love to see a nice bit of grassGrin dont now hwy but i just love green short grass! and nice views from conservatory, but is that where the building would be? you really need to know if the buildings are oging to be too close and overlooking you, and blocking out that view. can you go to the council for plans?

mum and dads planning application went through on tuesday (they want to build a bungalow next to us) and although the council approved it, the environment agency objected (there is a river runs along the bottom of the field and they think it might flood, even though its NEVER flooded down here) but from what the councillors have said it wont be a problem, they just have to notify them, but cant do anything untill its 100% final

WELL wnet to get violet weighed today as she hasnt been weighed since about 6 weeks, and thought she would be about 22lb. but shes only 16 lb 13 oz!!!! i would have put money on it that she weighed more! so really she is too little to go in that forward facing seat. idont know what to do, i want to keep her in it as shes so much happier in it

oh, and also today i have been to book train tickets down to kings corss, getting there isnt a problem,. but getting back...i cant!!! i arrive at st pancras at 7.47 and the last train from kings corss is 8pm, so i cant make it! have had to book a hotel in kings cross and going to take lulu to the natural history museam and back on the 5,20pm train! i bloody asked the woman befrore i booked it if she knew about trains and she said, oh yes thetre will be a train back, should have bloody checked myself, i could havehad another night at eurodisney.

and violet was awake on and off from 4.30 til i got her up at 7.30 grrrrrrr, the night before she was asleep from 5.45 straight till 7.40 which is bloody brilliant, but not good last night!! shes gone to bed tonight at 6.20 and better not be a repeat!

KLou111 · 13/01/2012 18:04

Bloody planners Liz and environment people are a pain in the arse!!!! Don't have a clue!
Robs parents have a big garden they were going to split and build s bungalow for them and sell their house. They were basically told they were more likely to get planning for 3 x 3 bed starter home terraces!!! They live on a private road in a lovely village where all the houses are completely different from each other and old, yet they could have that!!!!

Bloody train sounds a nightmare!!

How light is lulu!! Euan was 16lb 2oz at 16 weeks!!

Hope her sleep better tonight.
Euan was good last night, had a little chat at 4.15, then back off til 7.45 :)

Well we had the final agent out yesterday and all I can say is, and please excuse me, what a fucking cocky cnut ;)!!!!!

Walked in and reckoned he'd sold it before, so basically said u don't need to he shown around, I'll have a look as it'll be what I've seen before. Strike 1. Then basically said we don't live in a desirable area. Strike 2. Then tried to compare our barn conversion character property ;) with a fucking tiny box of a new build down the road with a garden smaller than our front room! Strike 3.
Then told us he thought it wasn't worth anymore than a normal 3 bed semi detached, after all its only a 3 bed semi, not detached, so not worth as much, as its a 3 bed semi at the end if the day. (Must've said it 10+ times!!) Strike 4.
Then he said about we got it so cheap so we basically can't be seen to make too much money. Strike 5!!!

Well anyway I argued the toss and told him, it may not be detached, but most , if not all the properties for sale round here need gutting and doing up, he agreed and said we should market it at 179,995!!! What a twat!!

Anyway, had another agent out who sold us the house, and he was the best one. He told us we had done a fantastic job in the house which was lovely to hear someone appreciate it! Told us honestly what he thought we should market it at vs what its worth, so we will prob do 169,995 as we want it gone, and really want that house!!!! Robs even willing to go for 155000 at the mo just to get it gone lol!!

OP posts:
lizandlulu · 13/01/2012 20:56

cant be seen to make too much moneyHmm what a twat! isnt that how you makem oney? but, do up and sell?? you should have told him he needs to ask for a pay reduction, cant be seen to be earing alot, prick!!!

4am seems to be the witching hour!!! most mornings this week violet has been awake at 4am, shes gone back to sleep again (apart from that mornign when she stayed awake) but nearly always wakes me up at 4, although i have started to turn the monitor off when we go to bed. we are that close i can hear every murmur, but with the monitor i can hear EVERY movement and its not neccessary any more.

how heavy is Euan? honestly i couldnt believe it!

KLou111 · 13/01/2012 21:12

He's got to he pushing 19lbs. He's coming up 5 months and I really don't think his 6-9 month clothes are going to last til 7 months!!
Got to go in to hospital on 31st to get his tongue seen. He had it done at 3 weeks, they said at the time see you in 6 weeks, just got appt, think he'll be 24 weeks or thereabouts! Anyway, hoping they'll weigh him then.

I always turn the monitor off too, he's in the next room and the alarm is that loud if any prob, but can hear him like you say.

OP posts:
lizandlulu · 13/01/2012 21:28

no i have stopped buying clothes now cause she has so many 6-9 and i dont think i am going to get alot of wear out of the ones i have. she is still in some 0-3 and 3-6 tights, and 3-6 sleepsuits, but anything with abit of shape and she needs 6-9.

KLou111 · 14/01/2012 10:34

Lol, weird how all the clothes are different whoever you buy from. Didn't click to the date yesterday but Euan was 5 months yesterday, jeez time really is flying!!
Think am going to decrease his solids slightly. He's been fine till now but in the last few days he's been fussy with his milk, and it seems to affect his sleeping, ie less milk, the more he wakes. Last night he woke about 4 times from 3.15!! Again cos he was milk fussy yesterday.

OP posts:
SpaghettiTwirlerAndProud · 14/01/2012 20:23

Evening all! Sorry I've not been on, I've been such a lazy cow :o

I hope you manage to sell your house klou, I remember waiting to find out whether our offer had been accepted on our house. It was on the market for 79, 995k and we got it for 70k. Was a shithole though and needed a lot of work doing. We bought it off a repo company.

Wow liz I'm so jealous, always wanted to go to eurodisney! Is lulu excited? The ILs (except FIL he's deaf and can't/won't fly as he's convinced his ears will burst) are all off to disney world in florida in july the twats, we weren't even invited so they'd better bring us decent pressies back
I need to get poppy weighed, she's 7 months in a few days and still in loads of 3-6 clothes! 6-9 are mostly miles too big!

iwish hows joshuas sleeping been?

madkatz how is sophie doing now? Is she getting there?

Glad your DS has cracked toilet training gruff, my sister had a nightmare training her DD, I remember one incident where she climbed up onto a dining chair and did a wee, straight into/onto my sisters handbag that was on the floor under the edge of the chair Shock

Well my brother sprang a surprise on us last week, he's getting married next saturday! A bloody month ago they were split up Hmm

And we're still searching for our perfect greyhound :(
