Thanks klou Xmas Grin. Well earlier on I was on the Internet and was checking messages as I'd sent a message and was waiting for a reply, there was no reply for me but a message to DP about some wedding rings.... Oooh interesting! When Iwe were talking about these rise thing the other week he was interested but when I said we should just do it I got the usual man response of yeh we will one day.

MadKatz · 15/12/2011 09:14

Iwish its your day, do what you want.

Sophie had no problems after her jabs, took her plasters off last night (or rather DH did.....I'm such a wuss, how am I gonna cope when she has something really wrong with her hopefully never)

Had a good night last night, Sophie slept 8-11, 12-2 and 3-7, please please PLEASE let this be a sign of things to come. Xmas Grin

lizandlulu · 15/12/2011 20:09

madkatz ohh thats good!! long may it continueGrin

iwish i agree, def do as you please. if you only have you there, there is none of the hassle. but what about your mum and dad, would they be upset about missing it?

Iwish · 15/12/2011 20:47

Thanks madkatz.
You got plasters? Joshua just had some tissue stuck to his legs!
Glad she slept better too.

Erm they might be liz but if my mum and dad come then nicks mum n dad will want to come but his mum and dad won't be in the same room as eachother so they would want to bring someone with them to keep them company and we would end up with loads of people there blah blah etc etc. Sooooo no chance lol!

Joshua woke twice last night, he went to bed at 9:15, up at 3:30 and up at 7:15 then back to sleep till 9:00. I wish he would go back to only waking once at 6am!!

MadKatz · 15/12/2011 23:03

Yes Iwish the proper material really sticky ones tooConfused left more marks on her legs than the actual jabs didHmm

KLou111 · 16/12/2011 11:07

I'd just go with what you want the iwish, sounds a lot of hassle with everyone else lol!

Can't believe they used plasters madkatz we get a bit of cotton wool!

Well, I've been told that it is very unlikely that Euan will sleep through properly til he's 6 months and on proper solids cos he is so big!!
He's currently having 35oz milk per 24 hours inc in the night, 1/2 jar size of veg puree at 11.30, and 3tsp rice (before mixed), 1oz milk, and 1/4 size jar fruit puree at 5pm and yet he still wakes at 2.30 or 3.30 for food!! I personally think it is habit, and if I could bear it for a week or so, just give him water and hopefully he'll stop waking, but I think we've got a couple of months yet.
He was 16lb 2oz at his weigh in last Thurs, (5.5oz per week, 75th centile) so he's prob 16lb 7.5oz now. Anything over 15lb at 4 months and they are more likely to wake til on proper solids apparently. I was worried I have been overfeeding him, but HV said if he needs it, give it to him, if he doesn't want it, he won't take it.
I MAY try the water for the next few nights though. Would be a nice Chrimbo pressie if he starts sleeping 7-7!! We've been keeping him more awake in the day too!
I tried waking him at 11pm and feeding him the other night, he took the lot, but STILL woke at 4, so I left him after that as I said to Rob I'd rather feed him at 2.30/3.30 than wake him at 11, then he still wakes anyway!!!

Awww the poor little thing. How did she sleep last night? Hopefully well again.

Joshie went to bed at 8:30 but was up for milk at 9:00 till 10:00!! Then back to sleep. He woke once at 5:35 for food but was back in bed before 6:00 then he got up at 9:10am. Lovely!!

Iwish · 16/12/2011 11:11

Sorry klou cross post. Wow he is eating/drinking a lot. I don't know where he puts it because he doesn't look chubby on your pics. He obviously needs it tho. Good luck trying the water, hopefully he will start sleeping through. Has he ever slept through?

KLou111 · 16/12/2011 12:36

He's not chubby at all iwish, I don't know where it goes either! He has plenty wet nappies, poos once a day, sometimes twice so its obviously ok for him though.
He slept once from 7-5.50 the night before we went on hols, then the morning we actually went he did 7-5 so he can sleep longer, and we never fed him overnight on hol, but he did wake around 5 to be settled but he was being woken by someone dragging furniture or something in the hotel, he's not done it since home. It's a case of getting him out of the habit but at the cost of our sleep lol! I only started giving him milk again a couple of weeks ago as it settles him til 7-7.30, just would like him to do a full night til 7!

lizandlulu · 16/12/2011 16:55

i dont think food has much to do with it, i used to, but not if violets feeding has anything to do with it. she does have lots of bottles, but hardly any solid food still, and shes been sleeping from 6-6.30 to 8am. she does briefly wake at 6am for a chunter, but goes back to sleep till about 8.

but then she is bigger than Euan. i guess shes about 18-20 pounds, she is certainly on the chubby sideGrin

but as for how much solid she has, i am lucky if she gets a couple of tablespoons full down her, and if she is really not in the mood for eating and not having any, then she will still sleep through.

i am so so lucky to have got a good one this time roundGrin

KLou111 · 16/12/2011 17:10

How many milk oz do you reckon she has a day Liz?
Euan is now having as of today bigger bottles, as it says on the side of the box for his weight 8oz/8 scoops, so he's had 3 bottles so far of 8oz water and 8 scoops, so about 9.5oz total bottle. Had them at 7.30, 11 and 3, and still has had his food at 11:45, and due his rice now. Thinking of perhaps giving him his bottle and rice the other way around tonight to see how we go, ie bottle at 5:30, rice at 6:30, just want him to go all the way through. I know 10 minutes up is nothing, and I REALLY don't mind that, but I don't get to sleep for about another hour as I've woken up lol!

OP posts:
lizandlulu · 16/12/2011 17:28

she has AROUND 30 oz. she can only go about 2 hours still between bottles in the daytime. occasionally she will go 2 and a half, but not very often. and she has anything between 4-6 oz a bottle, but this last couple of days she has been draining her mid day bottles, so have as of today i started to make 7 oz

KLou111 · 16/12/2011 17:58

So he's having more and sleeping less. Think we should perhaps ignore him for a few mins when he wakes Hmm

OP posts:
lizandlulu · 16/12/2011 20:41

i am quite lucky in that when she used to wake in the night, shedidnt scream for her bottle, she would just wake and cry, but not scream the place down like she does in the day. so if she didnt quiet down and go back to sleep in, say, 10 mins then i would get her a bottle and go to her. but will leave her now. she went through a stage last week of waking in the night between 2-4 but i would always give her a bottle and shed go back off. but this week, sleeping through again.

so if she wakes in the night say tonight or in the next few nights, i will leave her to settle herself (unless she screams)Smile

i have got her booked into nursery for a 1 hour visit on the 6th of jan, and shes starting on the 9thSad 3 days a week, 8,30 to 4pm. god its going to be a strain in the mornings to be on time!

KLou111 · 16/12/2011 21:28

Euan doesn't scream, just whimpers, then cries, but not loud iyswim? May just leave him then. Rob mum said it when she was here about leaving him, but she didn't want to look like she was butting in.
God, nursery already lol, bless her. It will be a rush!

OP posts:
lizandlulu · 16/12/2011 21:35

i would leqve, him, see what happens, if he wont settle back down then see to him, whats the worse that can happen?

i woke violet once, weeks ago, for a 'dream feed' at about 11pm and she still woke at the usual time for her feed, so didnt make a difference to her.

i already get up at 7 and find it a rush to be out the door for half past 8. i have my little system, so think i have just got to move my routine back 15 mins to beo ut the door for 8.15. the nursery is only at the top of the lane so not out of my way so will only take 10 mins to get her out

KLou111 · 16/12/2011 21:56

I'm just going to leave him. I woke him at 11ish the other day and he still woke too, so I'll leave him. I think they just get into a habit don't they lol!

You'll have to be organised lol, but I suppose you already have to be with Lulu anyway :)

lizandlulu · 17/12/2011 08:03

how was last night klou?

KLou111 · 17/12/2011 08:57

SUCCESS!!!!! We had a little whimper at 2.10 and 2.45 both for about 1 min then back off. He whimpered again at 5.15 which I thought odd as not his usual wake time, eventually at 5.30 turned into a very loud cry so thought something wrong. Sure enough my poor little fella had managed to move himself so his head was jammed against the cot! Moved him back, dummy in and I had to wake HIM at 8.15!!!!! Woohoo!!!!!
NO FOOD!!!

OP posts:
lizandlulu · 17/12/2011 18:29

well i made al ist a good few weeks ago including some triple button baily uggs , a couple of dvds and some benefit facewash and scrub. he hasnt been anywhere to get anything, then last night he asked where he would get some uggs from? the bloody week before christma,s, nowhere i bet!!

KLou111 · 18/12/2011 09:48

Hmmm some ideas there Liz :)

Well not as good here last night. Woke 12.45 as we went to bed (both fell asleep downstairs lol), but settled himself.
At 2.15 he started, turned into a cry, dummy, back off. This went on 3 times til 3.15 so I changed his nappy, gave him some water, put him in his sleeping bag (was in covers).
Woke again at 5.15, dummy twice, then fully woke at 7.45.
Polished off a full bottle VERY quick so he was I think hungry. Looking at what he ate the day before, he had about 3/4 bottle less yesterday between when he got up and bed (I've been writing it all down). So will try again today/tonight see how we go :)

OP posts:
KLou111 · 18/12/2011 10:15

OP posts:
KLou111 · 18/12/2011 19:45

Well, we've had 4 full feeds, a bit more veg and bit more rice and fruit than yesterday. Euan has been soooo sleepy all day, not surprised, and slept 2 hrs at lunchtime!! Fingers crossed tonight.

How are we all x
