madkatz Did you get your Xmas cards and wrapping done? And did Sophie sleep any better?

Omg liz he needs a serious talking to and kick in the arse!! I cant believe he doesn't want to go to her play and hasn't even cuddled Violet! I don't know what to suggest apart from telling him you have had enough of how he is acting.

Glad you had a better night with Euey klou. Bet that was a hard decision on the move, it'll be worth it tho when you can see your friends and family more often. Euey will be able to spend lots of time with grandparents and will love it. We are only 15 mins away from my mum and dad so can just nip round whenever. We went for a big Sunday roast yesterday. Yum!

Another fab night with Joshie last night. He had a bit of a feed at 8:35pm but fell asleep so I left him and he had the rest at 9:25pm. He went to sleep and didn't wake till 6:20am for a feed then back to sleep till 9:25am!! I feel so refreshed! Grin
Off to see my nana today and a friend who has a 4 week old little girl. I'm soooo busy this week and next!

klou sorry if tmi but when did your AF start again after having Euan? Mine started a few days ago but wasn't sure if it was because I had the Inplant a couple of weeks ago or if my body did it itself.

KLou111 · 12/12/2011 21:02

My AF started when I went back on the pill iwish, so assume that had something to do with it. I had to go on the mini pill due to BF where you may not get a period as you continuously take it, but I have. Need to change to other pill now FF.

It was a hard decision re moving, but I have wanted to move at least nearer for a while due to us now having Euan, it was Rob that needed the convincing really. I think he's just realised how much our lives really have changed, when it needn't have ie if we were nearer 'home' we could have Euey babysat, Rob could go out on a Friday night (or whenever) like he used to, I could go out with the girls etc. We just don't want to end up resenting Wales, and worse Euan, which we wouldn't, because we are on our own. It's for the best. We've contacted our financial advisor and he said no prob with us getting a mortgage, but fingers crossed, if we get what we think our house is worth we could more or less move back mortgage free, but we would be willing to take a £30k hit on our house just to go back TBH. We are 2 of these people that once we get something in our heads, we just want to do it, so it's going to be a struggle to wait til Summer!!!

Morning ladies

Still trying to get the cards done and pressies Wrapped between feeds and colic. No progress here on the sleep front.

Sophie's got her first Jabs this morning Confused

MadKatz · 13/12/2011 10:38

Sophie's just had her jabs, only a little whimper she was very good. Braver than I am with needles!!

Iwish · 13/12/2011 13:17

Bet it was the Inplant then klou. Fingers crossed you get what you want for your house.

Aww wel done Sophie! Hope they don't affect her too much madkatz. Joshua's first just made him sleepy. He slept all day and all night. Only waking for feeds.

Joshua had his 2nd set of jabs this morning and he is not happy. He's been upset ever since and I'm just trying to get him to sleep. He's just had some calpol so FX it works!

MadKatz · 13/12/2011 14:45

She's sleeping too Iwish so I've caught up with a couple hours sleep too and just finishing off the presents Xmas Grin

Iwish · 13/12/2011 16:08

Yey Sophie! Have you dosed her up on calpol? Think Joshua had a dose after the jabs and a dose a little while before bed. Think I'll do the same this time. Bet you feel amazing with a few more hours sleep Grin

Joshua slept well again last night again. He was up once at 6:15 for a feed then back to sleep till 9:05 Grin

MadKatz · 13/12/2011 20:16

I bought calpol for the first time today! Not given her any yet as nurse said unless she's really grouchy don't bother and to be honest she's slept all day apart from feeds, so I've been able to get on with things at home.

Definitely feeling a bit better after catching up on a couple more hours sleep Xmas Grin

Iwish · 13/12/2011 21:25

Well I hope she sleeps well for you tonight. Even if it is because of the jabs.

I hope Joshie sleeps well too, he's been strange today. Grumpy after jabs which I understand. He had a sleep for just over 2 hours then lay on his changing mat on the floor for 1 hour 10 mins! He normally only lasts 10 mins. Then at about 5pm he got whingy because he was tired but only slept for 5/10 mins. Then was more grumpy! Think the jabs added to it too. I'm hoping that he will have a really long sleep, he certainly needs it.

Iwish · 13/12/2011 21:27

How do I do the Xmas smiley? I can't remember what we put in front of the words

lizandlulu · 14/12/2011 07:09

morning all. poor little babs all having jabs about the same time. all over and done with now tho heyXmas Smile

well i ahve been so so busy, just got about 5 more stocking fillers to wrap for lulu and thats it, ust got to buy food for the big day.
apart from the fact that she wants a barbie dream house andi cant get one ANYWHERE!! all these adverts on tv about toys, like tesco and smyths, and toys r us, but no one lboody has one!!!!

things been alot better in our household, hes been coming home nice as pie this last coupleo f days and really making an effort with lulu. it helps that when he comes in from work, he satys in as even if hes just around, at least lulu can talk to him

violets been waking in the night this last week, between 2-4 so have been giving her bottle and just like before shes back off, so no trouble really, just hope it doesnt last very long, but last night she slept thrugh so hopefully its the end of that silly gameXmas Grin

iwish jusr put a f infront. so [ f grin ]

MadKatz · 14/12/2011 10:39

Still had a colicky session last night but not as bad as normal.

What made it worse was that she woke up at midnight for a feed and was really grizzly (I put it down to the jabs). Was just about to latch her on and she had an almighty cough and bought up most of her milk from the previous feed (3 hours before Xmas Hmm). Sorry if this is TMI - its was full of mucus not just the normal milk sicky and she's less congested now, so I'm guessing a lot of it was the last bit of her cold coming out. Xmas Smile

Iwish · 14/12/2011 11:24

So glad things are improving liz bet you feel so much happier.
Wonder why she started waking up again?
They should stop blood advertising if they are out of stock! Poor kids get excited for something they can't have.

Joshua only woke once again last night but it was at 2:40 instead of the usual 5:30/6:15. I thought he would wake again before morning but he didn't, he was up at 8:00.
Got an appt at the perineum clinic today. No idea what that's all about!!

lizandlulu · 14/12/2011 14:38

madkatz better out than in heyXmas Grin!! i am glad she is getting better, good for you too.

iwish have fun at the preinium clinicXmas Grin didnt know there was such a place!!!

violet is very chesty too, you can hear her full of it when she coughs. not nice for adults, never mind babiesSad

lizandlulu · 14/12/2011 14:39

bummer, shed just gone to sleep and i went to print out a recipie for chocolate peanut butter cheesecake and it woke her up!!!

KLou111 · 14/12/2011 15:05

Hi all.

Hope sophie still ok after her jabs madkatz. What's she like spewing poor thing!

Hope josh ok iwish, jabs are not nice for them. They didn't seem to affect Euey except making him sleepy, but the last ones were awful!!!!
And perenium clinic? Wtf? Did you have problems down there when Joshua was born?

A friend of line has a 2.5 yo and she's just been in for an op to cut her open again down there. She split really bad all the way through and it never healed properly. She had creams etc to sort it hut the scar healed that tight she's just had it redone. Needless to say he'll be an only child as it totally put her off.

Another good night here, 6.45-3.35, 3.45-6.55.
Tried a new bottle 'trick' last night. I make up 7oz water and 7 scooped formula usually and Euey has whatever he needs (4.5 last night). Anyway, I made up a bottle of cooled boiled water before I went to bed, and when the time came, I did 5oz hot water and 7 scoops, mixed it, then added 2oz cooled water and hey presto it was the right temp, fed, bed within 10

Choc peanut butter cheesecake sounds to die for!!!

OP posts:
lizandlulu · 14/12/2011 15:16

klou i did think about doing that, but got all confused and thought it sounded like alot of faff, so didnt even bother to try and get my head round it (doesnt take much to confuse meXmas Grin)!

KLou111 · 14/12/2011 15:17

Oh forgot to say, spent all morning yesterday making pureed food, good god it took ages because of the sterilising!!! He has Apple, pear, swede, sweet potato, green bean, courgette and carrot. Hoping it'll last him a while!!! Had to freeze it in batches as didn't have enough ice cube trays (8!) And not enough room in freezer!! All boxed up now, he's got a right little feast in there!!

OP posts:
KLou111 · 14/12/2011 15:19

Was easy Liz just measure 6oz of water in one bottle (to last 3 feeds), and make usual bottle as usual then tip in 2oz, so quick!!

OP posts:
Iwish · 14/12/2011 16:12

Well that was pointless! She asked me a few questions about if I can pee/poo ok and if we had tried sex And that was basically it! I was asked the same questions at my first physio appt! Then she said she will leave me in the hands of the physio. Great thanks.

Yeh I had an episiotomy and a 3rd degree tear klou. I've had no problems with it since and seems to have healed nicely. Not even had any pain after the first week or 2.

Do you guys think it's wierd that nick and I want to just get married on our own? Just us, Joshua and a couple of witnesses in a registry office?

KLou111 · 14/12/2011 16:44

That's what I had iwish, except I tore and not actually cut. Very strange that you've had to go and see about it if it's not bothering you!

No I certainly don't think it's weird. I said to all my friends who have recentlygot married, it's YOUR day, do what YOU want and invite who YOU want. Be selfish, it's your perogative, you'll put some noses out of joint, yes, but sod em, it's YOU that has to be happy!!
We didn't invite kids to ours, jesus, you would have thought we'd just slapped them all in the face. Subsequently my cousin, Aunty and Uncle didn't come because I didn't invite my cousins kids, she didn't think it was right if 'all the family wasn't invited'. Anyway, her other daughter got married the following year, and guess what, SHE DIDN'T INVITE KIDS!!!!!
So do what the hell you want!!

OP posts:
Iwish · 14/12/2011 16:54

Maybe they are just wierd round here lol!
Glad you don't think it's wierd. We are both quite shy people so do t like the idea of speeches etc so don't want a do after either. We just want tI be married because we love eachother and dont need other people to watch us do it. Xmas Grin

KLou111 · 14/12/2011 17:24

That's what's marriage is about my lovely, don't be pressurised into a big do if you don't want one :)
We were going to get married abroad as Rob's not into all that either, but his cousin got married the year before and I changed my mind and wanted the whole shabang lol. You've got to go with what you want hun x
