JB felt this baybee move this morning. :)

Sorry, won't post again. Oh damn....

Ariesgirl · 13/10/2011 16:04

BTW Mountie has laid. Little boy, some time ago Grin

AlpinePony · 13/10/2011 16:19

Bloody help the not list is sparse then. Can't you stick a pillow up your jumper, burst in to tears regularly, wee in your pants a little and come and join us in the deli?

OP posts:
Ariesgirl · 13/10/2011 17:54

A phantom pregnancy from a barren? Wouldn't I be the object of pity and derision, like Queen Mary I? No thanks, I'll pass on that.

AlpinePony · 13/10/2011 18:03

We would pretend not to notice and all COO appreciatively when you wheel out a cat in a babygrow.

MadameBoo · 13/10/2011 20:18

Hello Rie and Pone. I'm not diffed either. Congrats to Mountie though.

Ariesgirl · 13/10/2011 21:49

I know you don't mean to mock me Alps and you know I like you a lot and we are friends. But I'm not sure this vein of humour is particularly thoughtful.

MadameBoo · 13/10/2011 22:11

Rie I was mocking myself for posting on fred - not you lovely lady. x

Medee · 13/10/2011 22:44
AlpinePony · 14/10/2011 20:35

Can we just ditch this thread and start anew?

I've fucked up the list and forgotten the lovely honeymoo, missed birth announcements and didn't even know mountie had laid.

In addition I've pissed off aries.

So probably better if someone else tries and I shall STFU as clearly all I do is offend and most seem to believe I do this for thrills.

OP posts:
Ariesgirl · 14/10/2011 20:46

Dearest Alps, don't worry about it. You didn't mean it xxxx I certainly don't believe you do this for thrills, you daft mare. Come here for a hug

Ocarina · 14/10/2011 21:02

That was a lot of babies on the last thread! Can we collect all the info (birth dates and extra differs) and ask MNHQ to edit the OP? I become Ocarina, girl born Sept 6th.

Ocarina · 14/10/2011 21:03

PS Alps we should've noticed we needed to collect such things at the end of the old thread, tisn't your fault.

okiecokie · 14/10/2011 21:45

Just wandering about.. not updiffed or owt. Is there a BESH fred still? Checked out the not list and there are not a lot on the updiffed and more on the baybees. Whats the craiq?

MadameBoo · 14/10/2011 22:22

yes, a BESH fred there is Okes :) (and why I am talking like yoda I don't know).

BarbiesBeaver · 17/10/2011 10:07

If we can gather the dates when people laid/are due I'd be happy to start a new Not List and a new Fred if you like? One that is heavy on pink bunnies, bows, alcohol and fluff for a bit? Seems we could all do with a bit of lesbo eroti violence ESH love right now.

LadyGoneGaga · 17/10/2011 12:15

LadyGoneGaga, girl, born 24th July 2012

Hope everyone is well. My craptop is back from the menders so perhaps can post bit more easily now. The girlchild is beaut. 12 weeks old already. Pondering getting a dog. Am I mental?

laurielou · 17/10/2011 13:21

Thank Jeebus for Alps & setting up a new fred.

I was just about to give Mountie a kick up the arse, seeing as its Autumn n all & we haven't had a lay for ages............ Ooops!

So, no pressure Truffs but you're up next Grin

Alps excellent news on JB feeling baybee kick. Ahhhh, I actually miss those days of (fairly) gentle kicks. When BugBoy kicks now he means business.

Hope everyone is OK. I'm still vay upset by rugby. Gah!

Right, off to my first aid course now in how to not break your baybee. Laters x

Truffkin · 17/10/2011 15:00

I'd be quite happy if no one updates the not list for a while

Am working from home today, which in reality entails keeping an eye on my email and doing a few calls. I am supposed to be writing handover notes and simply cannot be arsed with it. I'm amazed by my brain switching off from work. I did spend a lot of the weekend washing teeny little clothes and soft, fluffy blankets so am practically as ready as I'll ever be.

We did a parentcraft class last week and after watching the video of various births, TGB said 'it's not as bad as I expected' and I was cowering in the corner, shaking in fear! I'm still firmly in de Nile about labour though and as I've got a few weeks to go yet, think that's ok.

I do have a few questions if anyone can offer an opinion though. Does anyone have a view of what a birth plan should actually look like? I think we've decided on the main points, but I don't really know how to put it together to form something that the midwife will recognise and be able to use. Also, I've been asked by my colleagues what gift I would like when I go on mat leave and I'm not sure what to say. We've got the main stuff we need but my Mom thinks a bouncy / rocker chair thing might be a good idea. I'm not a massive fan of the plastic vibrating chairs (I know that my house will eventually end up full of bright plastic tat, but am holding off for now!) but think this one looks ok - do you think it would be a good thing to have? If not, I could ask for vouchers.

TGB's cousin has been great at keeping stuff for us for when we move so we have a 2nd moses basket (one for upstairs and one for downstairs) and an unused breast pump plus some cute outfits she has kept.

My sister threw me a surprise 'baby shower' a couple of weeks ago (I thought I was going to my nephew's 3rd birthday party) and I was thoroughly spoiled with some lovely things I had been admiring (including a 'tummy tub' which I simply can't wait to use) so we're now absolutely sorted for blankets, changing stuff, bath things, outfits and some nice loungey-type clothes for me to wear afterwards.

I am rambling now, seriously I'm massively avoiding doing any work! Hope everyone is well and enjoying their baybees. Am looking forward to a big Midlands meet up once we get back up there (not least, to learn from everyone else how not to break my baybee once it's here)

laurielou · 17/10/2011 16:40

Hey Truffs how lovely to have a baby shower.

As for birth plans, I'm afraid mine ended up in the bin the day before I had BugBoy. It was full of water birth / gas & air plans, which all went to pot when BugBoy was discovered breech & I had a caesar salad instead. A plan is always nice, but knowing what I know now, I'd be sufficiently vague about it all so as not to worry too much when in true ESH style the opposite happens Grin.

Sorry, this isn't really helpful is it?

BrownB · 17/10/2011 17:27

Truffs - in some ways I'm deeper in De Nile than you I fear. My OH and I are pretty strapped for cash, and I don't get much in the way of maternity leave. So, we're going second hand as far as possible... I have the promise of a cot, a pram, a bouncy chair, some re-usable nappies (ugh..!?), breast pump, and clothes. So far, nothing has materialised... Although, the maternity clothes did materialise and are now coming in handy. Fingers crossed on the rest!

BrownB · 17/10/2011 17:27

Oh - I also have a hyppo birth book...

BrownB · 17/10/2011 17:28

Oh, and I've booked my leave now. I'm off from the new year. 10 weeks left. [hgrin]

Medee · 17/10/2011 21:48

I like that chair. I have made a note to myself to get a rocker, rather than the battery powered swing chair, should we do this a second time.
