I'm pleased you have DS home flutter and hope he has made full recovery.

Fromr ecetn regular posts there is ME and CONQUEEN waiting as well as JAYF - we are all due for induction on the 3rd!!!!

I am absolutley out of my head with this I never imagined i would get sooooooooo emtional about this my latest threat is he is well and truley stick under my right rib and will not move down - his head is 'floating' and this is why they have put me down for a 'high risk' induction.

By the way CONQUEEN & JAYFIRST MN'ers have been posting postive induction stories on my thread in childbirth if you want o have a quick look.

TV terrible tonight, no more pleasure left in chocolate either.

bigbaubleeyes · 31/12/2005 18:13

Sorry I forgot BABYG is also duet to have an induction on the 3rd - that makes four of us i have managed to keep track of. Let us know if there is anyone else out there.

If you do have a rad of the 'Positive Induction Stories' thread please ignore pupucelovesruDOuLaph posts as i have found this person to be largely negative and missed the whole point of the thread.

Happy New Year

conqueen · 31/12/2005 18:18

:how ironc that four us will be induced on the same day!

thanks fr the info on the thread on induction ... i wil be sure to read it!!

hope everyone is ok ...

Jaysfirst · 31/12/2005 18:20

thanks for the tip off BBE. I am not due for induction till the 9th, its my sweep on the 3rd...but it does seem that the 3rd is a day for it all to perhaps make a start!! After my movements and contracrions last week and my intermittant shows since tuesday i thought i would be under starters orders by now.... never mind, will check out the induction thread anyway, it cant all be bad!!

HAPPPPPPPPY NEW YEAR TO ONE AND ALLLLLLLLLLL !!!!!!!

Frizbethebumpedupreindeer · 31/12/2005 19:02

sorry for hijack, but congrats George, and sorry about c-section....

babygibbon · 31/12/2005 21:08

Flutterbee v. pleased to hear your news.

Yes, I'm sad enough to be sitting in and surfing mumsnet at 9pm on NYE. Still, I am 41 weeks with no sign of baby appearing so I don't know what else I'd be doing...clubbing perhaps? DH is here and keeping me entertained

Hope everyone has a good one...

awayninahmanger · 31/12/2005 21:34

Happy New Year all and good luck hope things happen soon for those still waiting, will be thinking of you on 3rd and hope things start happening then, or sooner. You must be so fed up with waiting, I know I was after only 3 days (2 weeks late and induced with ds1 but somehow in the summer it didn't seem so bad). Induction was OK, honestly. I have since heard it's 'supposed to be' more painful but on comparing with dd, I didn't find a difference. Similar experience, same drugs, gas + air and pethidine - so please don't worry about that. Just wishing you all babies very soon
Happy New Year everyone!

bigbaubleeyes · 01/01/2006 00:52

AWAY thanks more reassurance because OMG you should read what's been going on my request for positive induction stories thread.

Happy New Year all

Good luck ei, hope baby arrives soon!

A quiet but pleasant evening marred only by the lack of alcohol and new baby...

bigbaubleeyes · 01/01/2006 14:11

EI23 how overdue are you now? Do you know if you are to be induced and on what date? Its killing me this waiting

BABYG - My DH is not much of a drinker and hadn't really drunk much over the hols so before I knew it he too was well merry with wine n a couple of nips of whiskey - v v cheeky - wasn't mad at him though I knew it wasn't gonna happen - as i said to my DH 'the porch door is very firmly shut and double bolted'

Anyway here's hoping you all have had a nice new year and enjoyed someone else cooking you a new year dinner - i have requested sausages and mash with veg for ours for later.

Flutter hope you little one had a restful night.

Jaysfirst · 01/01/2006 14:26

Afternoon ladies, both those with bubs and those 'in waiting' Well NYE passed without so much a BH... had an awesome curry, ery nice indeed but alas didnt do the job in hand! Went to friends house had a cpl of glasses of champers whch was great, and NO heartburn have had two mugs of RL tea and eaten half a pinneapple, will be enlisting the help of DH later on if you know what i mean !!

Chilling out here now and watchin a film, have taken down tree and decs, so that it can be nice and tidied after baby arrives. All looks so bare now but all very clean and tidy.

Hope everyone had an equally nice evening and that you are all enjoying the new arrivals or at least keeping sane for those still waiting!

ei23mistletoe · 01/01/2006 14:29

hey ladies! happy new year!!
no baby yet but the pains are still here so...who knows!!
im now 40+4 and fed up!! i havent even got an appt for the hospital til the 12th jan and if i aint had this baby by then im not gonna leave the hosp til i have!! i have asked for an earlier appt than then but they said no because theyre crap but iv got a mw appt on thurs which im gonna have a good moan in if this baby isnt out by then!! they wont even consider doin a sweep til im 10 days over!! god the community care you get ropund here is not gud i can tell you!! ah well enough moanin for today i reckon!!
how is everyone?? were all over now aint we so were all in the same boat!! hope everyone has a great day!!

OP posts:
Jaysfirst · 01/01/2006 14:41

hey ei, 10 days is an awfully long time to wait for a sweep isnt it? and no date for an induction? sounds poo to me, youd do right having a moan to the mf when you go and see her. My mw is visiting me at home on Tuesday for my sweep, but i think its becasue she doesnt have a clinic til Friday and she doesnt want me travelling to hospital for sweep as the SPD and sciatica is excruciating...anyway enough moaning and groaning, we are all in the same boat!
I seem to have aquirred a list of dates that shes not allowed to arrive on, i smile sweetly and say of course i will oblige...then as swiftly as i can throw the date in the bin...hell she will come on whatever day she chooses, thats what i say!!!!!

Nemoinapeartree · 01/01/2006 15:31

happy new year all, nothing happened here we went to bed at 12.15..lol My first day alone today as dh back at work. surprisingly I have had a really good day. Adam is in bed at the moment and hannah is sitting on my knee. Have managed to tidy up, hoover and do a load of washing and put it away. Must warn dh not to expect this everyday..pmsl

EI the appointment at the womens on 12th will just be where they check baby etc and then ask if you want to be booked for induction. Think you then get a date within 3 days of that appointment. Pain in the bum though as I remember how fed up you feel at that stage. at least your mw will consider a sweep as mine never did.

hope something happens for you all soon.

sweetkitty · 01/01/2006 16:11

hello Happy New Year

Just popping over from the Due in Jan thread to invite any late bumps over to have a moan about being huge, having acid heartburn, the SPD, the curries, the pineapples, the RLT, the erm sex etc!!

Many congratulations George and welcome to the world baby Jake (lovely name btw) knew you would go before me.

I'm 38+3 today so DD2 is more patient than DD1 (37+5) keep expecting this one to be early too but I bet you she's late now.

kangel · 01/01/2006 16:27

Hi guys, congratulations to all those new arrivals and good luck to those still waiting!!

I have managed to pop on very quickly to let you all know that I hade a beatiful baby boy which we have called Dylan Rhys he was born on 23rd Dec and weighed 6lb 8oz after having a sweep. Unfortunatly I had a very rough time as he was facing the wrong way, that was after the midwifew fobbed me off and wouldn't come round to see me - when she did I was fully dialated and pushing with no pain relief what so ever until the ambulance turned up with some gas and air of which the midwife took AWAY from me!!! After demanding a doctor was called it turned outh that Dylan was in a transferse position, theatre staff (around 10 of them - no dignaty left what so ever)tried to turn him but they couldn't so I ended up having to have an emergency section and lost alot of blood. I am now on the road to recovery. All my fears of it being a boy have gone - I love my little boy to pieces!! I will say though that I will never be having any more kids!!!

Sorry I haven't managed to catsch up on the thread but print it off and have a read through. I should manage to get back on here some time next week.

Happy New Year to you all and to those new babes and overdue bumps!

Sorry this is rushed but Love to all.xxxx

Jaysfirst · 01/01/2006 17:25

Hey SK, thanks for your thoughts, i am now posting on both this one and Jans thread, its pants being one of the last one due in Dec thread but great being one of the first in line over on Jans one!!

Sounds like things are going well with you Nemo, dont do too much tho will you, like you said you wont be wanting DH to expect if from you all the time!!!!

dramaqueen72 · 01/01/2006 17:43

Jaysfirst · 02/01/2006 02:06

well...waters have broken ( 5 oclock this morning but i was unsure so didnt say anything) was just geting 'down to it' with DH earlier on when i felt a lot more go....i couldnt help but start to laugh at the irony of it! Called labour ward who sai to go in, was monitored and tested to see if waters had really gone, all positive. Having mild contractions now but going to bed to get some rest before being admitted at 8 in the morning. Guess i wont be about much, will keep you all updated!!

Night night xx
