redheadbedhead · 11/10/2011 12:37

yes I'm the same makes although I'm pretty sure i felt a little hard head for the first time the other day! maybe it was a little knee or a foot though, who knows!

my cat is just being very naughty... think it's the strong winds, they make her a bit crazy and wild.

fishandlilacs · 11/10/2011 13:24

hehe-the movements are weird-I get them all over too and hiccups sometimes. Most of my strongest movements are down low to the left but I get some massive big boofs directly above my belly button. I have also had tight tummy and what feels like it could possibly be a head or bum sticking out. They still have enough room to swim about I think at mo.

Flu jab on thursday and GTT on friday-busy busy.

I'm so hungry right now, i don't know what to have for lunch. Been feeling queasy on and off since osteo treatment yesterday. Weird to feel sick now, thought that side of things was well and truly over.

OP posts:
MakesCakesWhenStressed · 11/10/2011 13:28

osteo treatment can release some latent toxins that have been lurking in joints and stuff which make you feel queasy - have something light and see how you feel?

I'm munching my way through yesterday's stress baking (chocolate crispie things) as I've just found out my primary client is having cash flow problems and can't afford to have me doing any work atm, BUT THEY OWE ME MONEY BACK TO JULY! Am I going to get paid at all? If I don;t it's not just the loss of that money, but I was counting on that money to calculate my SMP, so I'm running the risk of being screwed coming and going. Hence the stress eating.
I'd offer them round, but they're mine, all mine, even the cyber versions.

fishandlilacs · 11/10/2011 13:39

Cheese and coleslaw roll, pringles and a big glass of ginger beer seems to have done the trick.

OP posts:
MakesCakesWhenStressed · 11/10/2011 13:40

excellent.

mmm... pringles...

fishandlilacs · 11/10/2011 13:58

Now I am sleepy....with much to do.

I have housework to do which will satisfy me the most, but with my limited capacity for movement and pain i'm in it's going to take me 3 times as long to do anything.

I also have pressing paperwork which is less satisfying and could be done tomorrow, especially if the house is nice and clean.

I also have 3 baskets of laundry to sort and put away, which I detest as a job but is well within my capacity, can listen to radio and sit on the bed for most of it. It aslo takes a huge chucnk of time but helps me out in mnay ways in terms of organisation as DD's uniforms are in the pile.

Choices choices..............

OP posts:
MakesCakesWhenStressed · 11/10/2011 14:08

Do the laundry because it won;t wear you out and you hate it as a job, so will be good to get it out of the way. Then do some paperwork because again it won;t tire you so much, but will go towards moneymaking. The clean house is just a bonus - do the essentials like bathroom and kitchen if you still have energy.
I haz a system ;)

fishandlilacs · 11/10/2011 14:28

:) or i could just twat about a bit and achieve nothing very important which seems to be the option I have gone for. Have just tidied fridge and packed a show box for the school harvest fayre out of the food cupboard. Now Don't have time to do laundry before going to get dd.

HI all, I hope am not too late joining the thread, I have been reading for a while but only just got round to signing up. My baby is due on 7th of Jan, we are expecting a girl, is my first child, but my partner has a 15 year old son from his first marriage. We live in Leeds, with a collie/lab cross who is very soft and a bit anxious, and a toothless 18 year old ginger tabby who is so laid back am suprised he doesn't fall over!

Very excited and a bit apprehenisve about the birth and also the prospect of being someone's mum! That's proper grown up that is!

Planning a homebirth, so have been interested to read what some of you have had to say about it. Am only 10 mins from the hospital so from that point of view it feels pretty safe,

fishandlilacs · 11/10/2011 15:04

A very warm welcome brownwolf ahhhhroooo :)

OP posts:
Brownwolf · 11/10/2011 15:29

thanks Fish. Did you manage to get any housework done? I have a mountain to do and can't seem to get off the sofa, is anyone else feeling extra tired this week, I am 27+3, and just can't seem to summon any energy, hoping this is just a blip and not what I can expect for the rest of the pregnancy :(

Wormshuffler · 11/10/2011 15:59

Hello brownwolf and welcome. I am lacking in motivation today as well, and have had a "thick head" all day. My app on my phone says I am now third trimester so maybe it psycological!
What do you mean you havn't achieved anything today fish you have done 5 posts on mumsnet! thats acheivement enough, keeping up with this thread is a full time job!!
I have booked in for my flu jab for thursday. Is anyone considering having a 4d scan? I am currently nagging discussing this with DH, I really want one but he says it costs too much. It does cost alot, but it wouldn't break the bank. DH is very tight when it comes to paying out for something where you don't really get a physical thing to show for your money. What are you views?
Hope you get something sorted re the client who is having cash flow issues makes it's really tough out there at the moment for small businesses........

addictediam · 11/10/2011 15:59

I've done nothing today! Just so tired but I'm only 23+3.

Fish I forgot to thank you for the telephone numbers, I haven't used it yet, but its reassuring to know I have it rather than a fax number!

fishandlilacs · 11/10/2011 16:02

I think you just get more tired from here on in i'm afraid brownwolf This is my 2nd pregnancy and I certainly remember it that way from carrying DD.

I don't feel like I did very much this aft but when you write it down it actually quite a lot:

I emptied all the bins in the house, emptied and refilled the dishwasher, sorted out my plastic tub cupboard, tidied out my fridge, put in some towels to wash, gave the bathroom a brief once over with some dettol wipes, scrubbed the loo and packed a harvest festival box. I did manage to sort the clothes into piles-those piles haven't made it back to the relevant cupboards and drawers yet though.

Why is it when you're skintest something always comes along to make it worse. The central locking has gone on my car I think. I can't open one of the doors. I bet it's going to be expensive. :(

fishandlilacs · 11/10/2011 16:03

Youre welcome addicted- we must get together sometime as were so close-I don't think anyone else is that geographically close to us.

OP posts:
fishandlilacs · 11/10/2011 16:05

..and shhh worm You may well have stumbled upon the real reason I don't get enough done in the house...pls don't tell DH :)

Note to self: Stay off MN during the day.

Welcome brown wolf - 26 + 5 here and so tired I don't feel safe to drive.

I have to go do some knitting (so I;ve done something useful today) but just wanted to stop by and recommend this thread. I know it's sad at the beginning, but keep on with it - there's a light at the end of the tunnel.

Capybara · 11/10/2011 16:32

Hi Brownwolf - I'm 25+4 and was feeling fine until recently but this week I've just been exhausted. In my case I think it's mostly due to disrupted sleep - I sleep fine for about four hours, then wake right up and sleep only fitfully for the rest of the night. I think that - the patchy sleep - is hormonal in origin, although presumably also something to do with my increasingly enormous tummy!

shonnomanom · 11/10/2011 16:44

Welcome brownwolf and congrats on your little girl. I'm a.week ahead of you, edd 1jan. I posted yesterday a link to our stats thread if you want to pop yourself into the appropriate edd gap in the list.

I find that when I'm on my feet I must do as much as possible because as soon I sit the day is gone.

Nanny01 · 11/10/2011 16:55

Had a bad day today as I couldn't eat and then after a short trip to the shops I ended being very sick in a a car park and then almost fainted in Sainsburys. A nice lady (staff) got me a seat and put my shopping through the till and packed it for me. All this happened cause I forgot to take me the renitadine tablet I was prescribed. I was so embarrassed.

addictediam · 11/10/2011 17:45

Makescakes I am laughing so hard I can't breathe! It's not doing my non existant pelvic floor any good.

Nanny hope you feel better soon

MakesCakesWhenStressed · 11/10/2011 18:09

addicted - glad you got the same joy from it I did

Nanny - what does that tablet do? Hope you're feeling better now.

mummyzoe2012 · 11/10/2011 18:32

ive got my 4d scan on the 24th oct so excited about it, we are paying 110 for a 15min scan a dvd of the scan 3 piccis printed out and a cd of all photos taken of the scan which is around 100-150+ will let you all know if its worth the money after it. Ame is being a bit layed back today not as active as normal. should i be worried about slowed movement now. also are you guys finding that you are realy thirsty all the time and nothing quenshes it.

MakesCakesWhenStressed · 11/10/2011 18:42

I feel ridiculous. If my body temp goes about a certain heat I start getting really dizzy and lightheaded. Anyway, was eating my shepherds pie when I started getting warm - it was a hot dinner, I;d been cooking and the oven heats the kitchen up a lot. I ended up sitting in my undies to eat my dinner because I got so hot. This pregnancy thing is making me go mental.

Brownwolf · 11/10/2011 19:57

Evening everyone, thanks for all the welcomes. Had a big sleep this afternoon, but still feeling very tired. Watching House of Elliott, that is about what I can manage this evening.

makescakes I have been getting ridiculously hot also, tho as yet not been reduced to sitting around in my underwear!
