How tired is everyone? I feel like an afternoon sleep every day, and even managed one this week. I am permanently shattered. No sympathy from DP. He is working 'til 3am most days and will be flat out 'til Christmas. I tend to wake up when he comes to bed and need the toilet and then sometimes again about 6am.

DialMforMummy · 23/09/2011 21:36

I started off shattered, then felt better at the beginning of the week and then I started to not sleep so well so I am feeling tired again.

CODwidow · 23/09/2011 21:45

I'm fine til about 4ish then feel shattered usually get ds's to bed by 7:30 and then I'm done and usually lie on the sofa totally shattered!

skinnymuffin · 23/09/2011 21:55

That sums it up DialM - fat, tired and worried! Think I will have to name change to bloatymuffin at this rate...

I'm not a great sleeper in general, Nytol is a last resort normally but out of bounds now. I'm going to look into herbal/homeopathic options I think because I am honestly dreading getting into the insomniac mess I got into last time :(

Saying that, it doesn't last forever and still very grateful to be pregnant obviously!! Don't want to sound all negative. And I do get a nap on my days off work, when ds has his. I am making the most of those while I can. Grab those naps ladies, grab them with both hands and don't even think about feeling guilty!

BatsInTheSnowglobe · 23/09/2011 22:13

I'm shattered too and not sleeping. I'm also waking up at least 3 times a night and need to go wee at least once during night. Most annoying is at 6:30am as i have to get up for wee (again) and then don't go back to sleep and start feeling sick. I'm on my feet all day at work and by mid afternoon just want to sleep. But like you skinny I am grateful to be pregnant and also know it's all good signs. But I can't wait to feel awake and well again!!

Little9 · 23/09/2011 22:15

Definitely with all the ladies with windy bottoms. Had to take a special trip to the toilet the other day at work to relieve myself as had sharp pains holding it all in. Felt great afterwards (tmi?). :o Am in bed by 10pm nowadays (usually don't go much before 12pm) and still feel tired all the time! Still only sore boobs. Have an early evening nap so am up a little later today! Got our new lounge carpet fitted today after taking stud wall down. So nice to have carpet covering the whole floor - ready for rugrat next year hopefully!

Beaniebloss · 23/09/2011 22:15

Hi! Expecting #2 on May 1st. DD will be 2 yrs 9 months and I am worried about her more than anything. My husband is really thrilled, but we haven't told anyone else yet!

DialMforMummy · 23/09/2011 22:16

I don't have sore boobs. I did the first time. I hope it's ok though.

BatsInTheSnowglobe · 23/09/2011 22:21

I don't have sore boobs either really. My left nipple hurts a bit but thats about it and that could be from me prodding to see if they hurt yet!

Congratulations Beanie Grin

mythical · 23/09/2011 22:24

I have told work because of h&s! Quite a few people know now.

BlueCrane · 24/09/2011 07:52

Morning all...well the insomnia and excessive tiredness continues! I was in so much pain with trapped wind and bloating yesterday evening but somehow struggled through an evening with friends and if they guessed something was up then so be it!! Feeling v emotional as well this morning which hasn't been helped by getting up super early (though I was awake!) to take DH to work as his alarm didn't go off and he woke up at the time he should've been getting the bus! But he was grumpy and moany and now I feel v crappy about everything and trying not to panic about life being far far too busy and me way way too tired to deal with it all and v worried about hurting the bean by being too tired and busy, but then thinking about that means I get even less sleep so it's a viscious circle Blush I was dying to tell my boss yesterday but want to wait at least until we've told parents next weekend - only 4+4 today so still very early!! But as others have said I don't want to moan as so thrilled to be in this position at all!

Congrats beanie by the way!

MixedClassBaby · 24/09/2011 08:44

Hope all the bloaters and trumpers are finding some relief Grin

No symptoms here (same with DD 9mo) except weird dreams and a bit of queasiness in the night.

Byrnsie30 · 24/09/2011 10:37

Hey all,

Can't believe how busy this bus is! I won't be convinced that I am really pregnant until I see the scan! Although I am getting some symptoms - tiredness and sore boobs mainly! I don't think my waist line has been affected yet.

As far as telling people goes. We have told 2 couples who we are close with. They knew we were trying and have been very supportive through the disappointments. Last time I only confided after things went wrong, and thought it would be nice to share the good news this time! Plus I also wanted the control, rather than them guessing! We will tell everyone else after 12 week scan (although some may guess before that!)

Dreaming At my surgery they like you to have begun to fill in the relevant paperwork and take along a urine sample for the booking appointment and say it can take about an hour! So it might be worth popping into your surgery to pick up the papers and a sample pot. In my pack there was also some info about what they do at various appointments etc x

Yorky · 24/09/2011 10:57

All my sympathy to those who can't sleep atm, not a problem I'm having atm, I can't stay awake! I stayed up till 930 last night, mainly because I slept for 2hrs Blush in the morning while all the DCs were at school/nursery - I had such a to do list planned and none of it got done :(
Another one with wind here
Anyone else gone off foods yet? I'm drinkning SO much less tea than I was, and without even trying! But more annoyingly a couple of times this week we've had a nice grown up tea after the kids are in bed and I've hard to work at eating it insted of wolfing it down and enjoying it properly as I normally would - but at least it stays down

CODwidow · 24/09/2011 11:40

I'm like you york off tea without really realising and defo no problem sleeping. I'm having to eat more though Smile

BlueCrane · 24/09/2011 11:57

Not as keen on tea here either, think hormones going crazy though as am seriously emotional today...keep bursting into tears over not very much Blush feel like I have a monster hangover too!! Had a nice chat with my Mum though and managed not to tell her which is good as DH wants us to tell her together next weekend. Right...ironing next on the list...back later...

Northey · 24/09/2011 12:10

Bugger. Bleeding. It's bright red, and enough to stain several successive swipes of loo paper, but not enough to have stained my knickers. Does that technically make it spotting rather than bleeding? No clots. No cramps. There's nothing I'm meant to do at this stage other than keep an eye out for clots/cramps is there?

CODwidow · 24/09/2011 12:18

You should rest and I'm sure you'd have cramps if something was wrong, I know when I had my mc I had horrible stomach pains 3 days leading up to the bleeding, hope alls well, fx

BorstalBait · 24/09/2011 12:23

Somewhere between 6 and 8 weeks with #4 so no naps but pretty knackered anyway from life in general so no great change! Quietly excited but, from unfortunate experience, we're the one day at a time until 12 weeks kind of people so keeping schtum mostly.
Congratulations esp to first timers on your fantastic news and exciting days ahead.
Northey (great name, is it from Don't Tell Alfred?) call your Early Pregnancy Unit for advice. Bleeding is very common but always good to put your mind at rest.

Northey · 24/09/2011 12:58

Yes, it's from Don't Tell Alfred, BorstalBait - good spot! Where's yours from?

Thanks for the advice, both of you. I had awful stomach pain the night before last, but thought it was trapped wind (as everyone else here was having the same). And even in retrospect I don't think it was cramps. I will just have a peaceful day, keep an eye on things, not stress (ha) and call the EPU if anything changes for the worse. I've got an early scan scheduled for Tuesday in any case.

Mucho sympathy to all other bleeders/spotters at the moment. And commiserations to those who have gone off tea!

cupcakefairy · 24/09/2011 13:17

Morning ladies... another one who has gone off tea here; can't remember if I did last time Hmm

I'm also needing naps in the afternoon, feel exhausted. Yesterday I snoozed on the sofa while ds watched a recorded In The Night Garden Blush

elizabethtailored lol at 'Saturday lie-ins'...can tell you're a first-timer!! GrinGrin we were up at 7am as always with our ds... all you first-timers enjoy every single weekend lie-in while you can!!

Had forgotten about the endless peeing in pots...I should prob get to the surgery for a sample pot too...and so it begins!

Have good weekends all.

BorstalBait · 24/09/2011 13:39

I'm going to read it again Northey, it's been far too long.
Fingers crossed and all. Keep us posted.

CODwidow · 24/09/2011 14:06

Is anyone else having quite a lot of period type pains?? Starting to worry me now Sad

jenfraggle · 24/09/2011 14:48

All last week I didn't have period pains but did have the feeling I get when I'm just about to come on. It went away this week and I've had no bleeding at all

CODwidow · 24/09/2011 15:40

They seem to be going now, I'm trying to be quite relaxed about things (honest Blush)
