Hello there... Tentatively adding my name to this list for 15 May (tbc). AM currently 6+1, DC1. Anxious when I get twinges, anxious when I don't!

My head is in a whirl, so much to take on board - for the time being, I'm considering myself just 'very tired at the moment', although of course I'm completely obsessing and reading everything I can find.

I've established quite a collection from my recently-acquired POAS habit, but it still doesn't seem real, despite the achey BBs, overwhelming fatigue, lower back pain, abdominal pulling sensation, bloating, gurgles, frequent sudden hunger pangs and increasing need to pee.

Que sera sera, etc - fingers crossed...

Hope you are all doing well :-)

Hello Cupcakefairy, nice to 'see' you again! Hope you have a better birth experience this time, won't ask for details as don't want to scare 1st timers!

Sorry for your news OhFushchia, hope to see you on a new antenatal thread soon

cupcakefairy · 15/09/2011 12:20

Hello :)
Were you v overdue with your last too then as he was born in June? I was due 19th May but ended up having him on 5th June ShockShock was ridiculous. Really hope this one is a timely baby Grin

titan · 15/09/2011 12:32

Hi ladies, can I join please?
I am due around 16th May. DS is 13 months old and I got my bfp on my second day back at work! Symptom wise I am knackered and have had a horrible cold for nearly two weeks which I can't seem to shake. Think that's due to the weakened immune system. I will try and add myself to the list.

titan · 15/09/2011 12:36

Okay have been poking at my iPad in increasing frustration. Can't seem to copy the list!

titan · 15/09/2011 12:42

Success!

Yorky · 15/09/2011 12:49

19th!wow, he was late. DS was due 24th and I was throroughly fed up of waiting for him, esp as I'd never lasted as long as my EDD before. fingers crossed for impatient ones this time :)
Can't believe how long the list is getting now! Congratulations all

FloydieDoydie · 15/09/2011 13:04

Hi new joiners glad to have you - our list is growing!

So sorry for your loss o fuchsia, hope you feel better soon x

Well, I saw the neurologist last night and he thinks my 'wibbly dizziness' is a type of migraine. Cant do more tests or give me medication until I'm in 2nd trimester, so he told me to remain off work for next 6 weeks with my feet up resting. He was so lovely and reassuring - it's nice to feel like someone understands what's been wrong with me all this time (14 weeks!), and wants to fix me. Smile

Quenelle · 15/09/2011 13:16

Hi titan and congrats. Wow BFP on 2nd day back at work! How do you think they'll take it?

titan · 15/09/2011 13:24

Not sure how they'll take it. Whenever someone mentions something that's going to be happening at work next year I just sort of go along with it knowing I'll either be on mat leave or be about to leave. Makes me feel a little guilty. I don't think I'll be able to keep it secret long though. As it's my second pg within quite a short time I'll probably start showing really early!

goodname · 15/09/2011 14:50

Hi cant believe how fast this thread is moving, can hardly keep up.

So sorry Ohfushia and onlymydog.
Hello all new people. Cupcake and Yorky I also have a 15 month old DS who was born last may. I was on the June thread tho as was due begining of June and he came a couple of days early so opposite from both of you. How are you coping with the pregnancy tiredness and running after toddlers?
With regards the oily fish you can just take flax seed oil instead has most of the same benefits and not as gross as codliver oil etc.

goodname · 15/09/2011 14:51

Oh people who will have two children come next May has anyone started thinking about what sort of buggy to get or is it just me trying to be obsessively organised again?

TooOldForThisLark · 15/09/2011 15:26

For my twins I got an "out n about" nipper 360 which I've used solidly for the last 3 years. Phil & Teds are also good if you've got one tiny one and one a bit older

titan · 15/09/2011 16:17

I'm hoping to get a second hand Phil and Teds for cheap somewhere. I really like my current single MB and I figure I'll only need the double for up to a year or so then I can switch back to the MB.

Yorky · 15/09/2011 16:22

Oh no, you can't start talking buggies already - DH will ban me from here! We have a ridiculous number already, and I fancy a double baby jogger city mini cos I love the single (easiest folding buggy EVER!) but we already have a double red castle which is easier to push than the single graco, especially if I have the buggy board on the back - won't be able to do that when I'm bumpier!

Quenelle · 15/09/2011 16:42

DS will be nearly 3 by May so I'm planning to just get a buggy board for him. Can you buy any make? I have a Jane pushchair that cost a fortune and I don't really want to replace it.

MandaHugNKiss · 15/09/2011 17:34

You've fallen off my active convos. Note to self: be more active.

Well, my tests (I'm still taking daily Confused) have been scaring the life out of me... but I presume everything is going well. Despite a lack of symptoms. Apart from the complete and utter exhaustion. But then I'm still bf'ing DS2 who still latches on at least four times a night.

Little9 · 15/09/2011 17:45

Hello all. Welcome to all the new ladies. I can happily say that I've not had any spotting today and (may be my imagination) but my boobs are ever so slightly sore! keep nearly letting slip that I am pg at work as only my manager knows. Lots of Mums around me talking about babies/children. Today I nearly told everyone about how symptomless I have been so far but luckily managed to stop myself before opening my mouth! That would have raised a few eyebrows! :)

Northey · 15/09/2011 18:05

Hi everyone, and congratulations to new joiners. Today's early scan was less than successful (as you might know if you've seen my plaintive thread in Pregnancy). The sonographer couldn't see anything, so shunted me off for blood tests to help work out wether I've miscarried, am having an ectopic pregnancy, or am just earlier than we guessed, so there's nothing to see yet. Gulp.

PopEsMummy · 15/09/2011 18:25

goodname I have slings so I'm hoping to be able to get away with wearing one baby and sticking the other in a pram (real hard core babywearers can wear two at once but I can't get my head around that). I don't want to change our pram 'cos I love it, and we've not had the pushchair very long (I did nag at discuss with DH when we bought it that it would probably be a good idea to get something that could carry two babies I may have said 'I told you so' Wink

MandaHugNKiss I'm still bf'ing DD, but thankfully not at night, how are you finding it?

little9 I bled last time and had several scans before 12 weeks. I'm sure someone has already said that spotting can be a sign of a healthy pregnancy. Scarey when it happens though ((((hugs))))

northey I had a scan at 5 weeks last time, there was nothing to see at the scan (even the internal - yuk) but DD is fine and dandy Smile

Yorky · 15/09/2011 18:32

Oh Northey, that's awful - worse than knowing one way or the other. Hope you get an answer soon (fingers crossed for the right answer)

MandaHugNKiss · 15/09/2011 19:14

Well, my boobs aren't sore PopE so physically, it's ok (I was also pregnant when we was 9 months but miscarried at almost 17 weeks - that was harder as nips were sensitive that time and he was bf'ing much more than he is now). I'm just tired. Mind you, on satrday we went to a wedding reception and he ran around like a loon for two and half hours... cue him sleeping for seven hours straight that night for the first time ever (I normally get four max). Me though, couldn't sleep for worrying about THIS bean! Typical.

Last time I was fully prepared to tandem feed, but now I'm wondering if he may have self weaned by the time this one comes along as now he'll actually drink from a sippy whereas before he'd do nothing but tip the drink everywhere then come and latch on!

DS2 didn't take to the sling (and I tried - he cried SO MUCH) but it was a babybjorn that killed my back and didn't seem very comfy for him (mind you he arrived at 9lb 12ozs and piled on the weight). I'm thinkng I will have to wear this baby as DS2 is such an active toddler I'm gonna need my hands free.

Perhaps a moby is the way to go?

northey As I said on your other thread, it's likely you're just a tad too early for them to see anything. I really hope that's the case. Hang in there.
