Well, are we?

Has the sickness abated?
Are our locks shiny and luscious?
Are our nails long and strong?
Are we back on form in the 'ahem' bedroom?

No? Well we soon will be ladies it's The second Trimester*

phlossie yes loads of..stuff..down there! way more then i remember from first pg!
Also i im having a boy, because of my sweet cravings = girl, salty cravings = boy theory. I cant imagine myself having a boy though at all.. :/

Oh and im with you on the boob thing too.! Really need new bras but no idea what size to get, and they might grow more :/ Popping out all my old bras.

gonerogue · 10/08/2011 21:02

Hwllo ladies

Lovely that all the scans are going well.
I had a doctor's appointment and heard the beartbeat again so it was deadly.
Told most of my family and friends now - we are waiting for my in laws to come over in September before telling them. It'll probably be pretty obvious by then. Grin
Told work - mellie your boss sounds like a wagon to be honest. I hate people like that who have it perfectly sorted and think that its the norm for everyone - everyone was happy for me. Haven't told my boss's boss - he might be a bit like your proper boss.

On another note my lovely DD has started walking - she'll be a year old at the end of this month so it's great. I might even get away with a buggy oard before this one comes.

Phlossie I'm thinking girl from the sickness which is the same as last time.

Right need to get some sleep. Sickness is abating but tiredness is still there.
Hello to deemented and enraha

Talk to you soon - I'll try and post more often from now on.

13+5 today

Sugarkane · 10/08/2011 21:30

Yes im also ine the excess vag snot and loving my boobs same as you phlossie ive breastfed two then lost weight (putting it all back on now though) really they have seen better days, infact when im not preg they can mainly be seen propped up under my armpits when lying down. DP thinks it great that I can breastfeed round a corner.

mellie Your boss is a right cow well done on not pulling her up, unfortunatly I wouldnt have been able to help myself asking for examples of where id let it get in the way of work.

Everything about this pregnancy reminds me of my DD, im depressed, evil, short fused etc etc, didnt have any of that with DS so im going with girl. Inlaws disagree and said boy though.

woowa · 10/08/2011 22:07

Hmmm. Did someone mention salty food? Now I fancy crisps... Fortunately i cannot be bothered to get out of bed, so that craving will ahve to wait for breakfast.

2 terrible nights' sleep has left me feeling dreadful. Hoping so much to sleep throough (and DD, please), (and DH too, for that matter!) and feeling better tomorrow. Might shoot the cats if they wake me up again. last night it was someone else's cat fighting one of our cats, in our kitchen, which woke me shortly after i'd got back to sleep from being woken by DD. Calpol has been administered, cats are on final warning.)

What a grump.

night all

15+1 (or 14)

Evening all!

Not been on for a couple of days as I've been glued to the riots on twitter/bbc/sky news, it's horrible horrible stuff and I've been in tears about it. Not sure if that's the hormones though.

I've drank a whole bottle of red alcohol free wine today trying to recapture some kind of normality but it tasted like shit and I don't feel merry. And I'm going to be up for 10 pisses in the night now, what on earth was I thinking Confused

I'm away for a week on saturday and seeing though it has been raining non stop for days in durham, and I have mounds of washing and ironing to do, I rang the lovely local man who comes and picks it up, washes, dries, and irons it and brings it back on hangers for me. Don't use him very often but he's a bloody godsend when I'm snowed under and if I've got the spare cash.

DH bought loads of baby clothes in next the other day, but I've said no more till I make a proper list, MIL has been in M&P today and I bet she was sweating to buy something but I think she has refrained!

The name debate that has been raging through the house and is also settled and I've got names for both so thats sorted!

I've got my next scan on the 18th sept, and a consultants appointment on the same day to sort out my horrific PND from the last two times, think they are going to give me a massive jab of hormones to try and keep me on the right track!

Shit that was a masive post, hello deemented nice to see you around, was going to send a link on another thread to send you over here but totally forgot!

morning everyone! :)
regarding entertaining young children when feeling like crap, I managed to get DD excited about getting ready bed and sleeping bag out and 'camping' on mummys bed once all afternoon with nick jr on.......is it mean to play hide and seek and not find them??? LOL
scan at 4pm.....to confirm there is something in there making me feel this rubbish LOL
12+2
mellie i would have struggled not to quip back a smart arse comment :) what a cow!

lilyrose123 · 11/08/2011 09:46

phlossie just read that post.... PMSL what you like???? you made me giggle nearly snort and vomit with that post LOL hope you are well x

pinkhollie · 11/08/2011 09:53

Feeling really rotten my sickness which up to now had just been nausea suddenly became real sickness on Tuesday. I have been expecting to start feeling better sometime soon not worse! It could be the start of a cold as coughing and sneezing occasionally - would that make sense?

To add to that our 2 dogs seem to have a case of unkillable fleas and our dog groomer said I shouldn't be touching any of the flea treatments. Cue a very reluctant DH being forced to sort it out on his afternoon off. When he then grumpily pointed out to me that the whole house was a mess and why did i never finish a job and I replied with "did you notice me running off to throw up in the middle of changing the bed?" he said "well YOU wanted this" which obv resulted in floods if tears from me.

He was then very sweet and comforting and apologised as I did as I am rubbish at starting jobs then leaving the Hoover in the middle of the room etc. I just don't think either of us had any idea how emotionally and physically draining pregnancy would be.

Oh well scan tomorrow then we're off on holiday next wed.

pinkhollie · 11/08/2011 09:54

Btw 13+2 so when will I feel better?

Sugarkane · 11/08/2011 10:24

lilyrose123 I play hide and seek and when I think its been long enough I send 1 of the dogs to find them, they love it even more than me moving off the sofa.

Everyone is ill in the house ive got a couple of kids with stomach upset and a cold and a DP with man flu...god help me.

pinkhollie My DP had been known to say the you wanted this with my first two preg, I think its because they cant put themselves in your position, for years people have told them preg is not an illness then your preg and its like your ill, nothing becomes real for my DP until the baby is here.

Good luck for the scans

Sugarkane · 11/08/2011 10:25

Oh 11+5

lilyrose123 · 11/08/2011 10:26

pinkhollie poor you, you should hopefully start feeling better soon :(
i have been blocked up and sneezing but I remember being like this last time, think you more prone to it when pregnant, sinus problems as carrying round more fluid and vessels not used to it......anyone else agree or am I making it up LOL
I have bought some menthol sweets which have helped and got piriton from Dr for when hayfever kicks in but they make me super tired :(
Men just dont get it, my hubby moaned when camping last week that i hadnt made any of the evening meals and had had a nap every afternoon!
I must pint out there were six adults camping and i didnt actually eat any of the evening meals cooked anyway!
I just nodded at him and said yep that's right, I wish you could feel how I feel for just one day, then think about how that would feel for a whole week, then 6-8 or even 10 weeks, and you havent got to go through stretch marks, labour birth, and after birth feeding etc.... so .....yeah i think you can cook dinners! Wink

phlossie · 11/08/2011 10:35

Gosh, my DH is a saint - he takes it on the chin. But I did make sure he heard me puke a couple of times just to prove I wasn't making it up! That said, I get cross with him for not being excited and only suggesting joke names!

pinkhollie I totally sympathise with you - the first pregnancy and first baby are the hardest because you don't know what it's going to be like. I thought I'd have a cute little bump and big boobs, I had no idea I'd feel pregnant from head to toe.

Just worried you'd always look at me and think 'vag snot', lilyrose! Mind you, I just remembered our topics of conversation when we did our training... you're right! Nothing to worry about! Love your hide and seek tactics.

I love the idea of you drinking a whole bottle of fake wine, billcomptontrousers!

BillComptonstrousers · 11/08/2011 10:49

It was pitiful phlossie

OP posts:
pinkhollie · 11/08/2011 11:44

Thanks for the support I knew a good moan would make me feel better. As for DH he felt awful for upsetting and rang me from his evening shift to sing "I just called to say I love you" down the phone also gave me and the bump a big cuddle and told "titch" he loved it.

Off to see a friend for a bit now don't actually think being on holiday for the past 4 weeks has been helping as I've got really lazy and demotivated and all i've been waiting for is tomorrow's scan. Oh well another 2 weeks and then I'll be cursing the responsibility of 8 staff and a thousand kids maths results. You just can't win can you Grin

babycarmen · 11/08/2011 12:44

Ahhh how i love hormones, went in a grump with DP in Asda because he wanted to buy beer instead of flowers, my god how DARE he, i was maybe a bit too harsh on him..i think im just jealous i cant drink, i dont want to drink when pregnant (although MAYBE one on christmas day - be rude not to) but to be honest the thought of it makes me feel ill anyway.. and the alcohol free wine ive heard tastes rubbish? And i need to pee enough already so... But if anyone finds a nice one let me know :D

I have not been sick today and even went for a walk (round of applause please - ) but i think if i came off the sickness meds id be in the bathroom all day again.

lilyrose are you supposed to find them..oops :D

Sugarkane · 11/08/2011 12:48

Heres the stats for anyone wanting to update, ive added myself again because I keep going missing so best check your still on there Grin. Seems everyone on the 25th seat is having their 3rd.

CoffeeOne · 11/08/2011 13:52

Sugarkane I'm due on the 25th, my dates got changed after an early scan, I went from the 24th to the 16th then back to the 25th. However I've amended the list about 5 times and people still keep copying from an earlier post so it gets changed back and people disappear off Angry Grin so I've stopped bothering now, but I'm on that seat in spirit with my 1st child!

11+5

CoffeeOne · 11/08/2011 13:53

I think there may be some people copied back on the list who have sadly left the bus too :(

Sugar80 · 11/08/2011 14:00

I'm the only one due on 26th!

Have gone public today. It's lovely - everyone's being really nice! Not getting any work done at all!!

QueenFee · 11/08/2011 14:09

Hello! I'd lost you all on the old thread I am so ditzy at the mo! Thanks Lily for pointing out the obvious that you had all moved here Grin

Struggling with tiredness here but have to say dh has got better with each pregnancy.

I am following the french guidelines for pregnancy (much more relaxed than ours and they seem to have just as healthy babies!) Don't forget you can have soft cheese as long as it's pasturised :)

QueenFee · 11/08/2011 14:11

Oh and pant snot yes! A disgusting amount lol and sinuses yes...

13 weeks yay!

Jeezimacasalinga · 11/08/2011 14:29

Hi all, had nuchal scan today and all seems good, baby fine and active and low risk too. Nausea has abated but still dreadfully tired, I guess I'm a bit older than I was with the other 2 though! EDD is now 21 Feb so shall amend the list. Hope everyone is starting to feel a bit better, we really shall all soon be glowing and full of energy!
