Are we back on form in the 'ahem' bedroom?

Hello all. So much going on for everyone at the moment. Hope that Monday has been a good one.
Gonerogue - thinking of you at what must be an awful time :(

Hope all those with crampiness are feeling a litle better. I had crampy pains all through my second pregnancy (DS) and it did make me nervous. I'm sure it's just everything shoving around and constantly stretching and adjusting.

Had our scan today and baby was determined to get in the most awkward position possible. In the end it could all be done and turned out to be good. There was a registrar with the sonographer learning all about scanning so we got lots more detail and information than we did with DD or DS - bonus!

Though we had decided not to find out the gender we had a last minute change of heart and we are having a girl. V excited! DH and DS will feel more outnumbered than ever with me, DD, DD bump and 2 girl cats!!

Good luck to all those with upcoming scans xxxx

PamBeesly · 19/09/2011 16:00

Congratulations rnbsmum a girl! How lucky for DS and DD to be surrounded by all the beautiful women!

InnocentRedhead · 19/09/2011 16:05

Mellie I think we have our scan on the same date, 30th? Mines at 4pm so I am going to have a loooooooong day waiting!!

Coffee Of course I will let you know, I know what my ligament pains are - well i think they are sharp shooty pains under my bump - but these cramps I hope is just the stretching. Fingers crossed nothing to worry about. And i hop eyour cramps remain at bay now, I am waiting for mine to go, along with the back ache too. Oh it's all fun and games :)

rnbsmum that is great news! Might like a registrar there now, but won't happen lol!

melliebobs · 19/09/2011 16:55

Hey innocent yerr mines the 30th too. But other end of the day. A nice early 9am appointment for us so no hanging around all day Grin then an afternoon of viewing daycare nurseries Angry

Congrats rnb on the lil girl!

Hey coffee I have 2 numbers scribbled on the front of my notes. Ones for the labour ward and was told that's the 'emergencies' number. Then u have one that is an answer machine for questions/queries and they ring u back same day. I'm pretty sure that's what she said they were anyway!

louby86 · 19/09/2011 17:14

Hello everyone! On my phone so going to try and catch up on the thread properly!

Thinking of you gonerogue x

First full day back at work in 4 weeks so think I'll be in bed soon!

claricestar · 19/09/2011 18:32

feeling no movements yet here. felt DS at 18 weeks but DD at 21 weeks because I had an anterior placenta. I assume I have an anterior placenta again!
scan is in 18 days!

18 weeks today

PamBeesly · 19/09/2011 18:38

I have felt no movement yet either, its my first pregnancy and I'm only 17+3 so I think Ill have a couple of more weeks to go. I do have little aches and pains in my abdomen (particularly at night) but nothing bad, thankfully. My scan isn't until October 26th!

melliebobs · 19/09/2011 19:25

Just left a message for Pip on the wall where DH is about to paper over. It's their due date and a list of the sensible n serious boy / girl names we've come up with. Worryingly on the boy column there's more stupid than sensible

louby86 · 19/09/2011 20:36

Aww mellie our friend has bought us a baby book and one of the first pages is for 'names we thought about calling you' I can't bring myself to fill it in, we've hardly got any decent names between us yet!

Xavielli · 19/09/2011 20:41

gonerogue sending lots of love your way. Must be so hard to process!

mellie That is so sweet! We have more ridiculous boys names than serious, DPs suggestions have included Voldemort and the entire line up of Liverpool and Celtic football teams. This is why I'm hoping for a girl! Name all sorted!

I've been so emotional today, one of my best friends birthday today and her step daughter called her mum for the first time on her card, cried for about 15 mins. DS2 is such a clumsy monster at the moment he fell face first into the stairgate and still has a huge black eye which made me cry everytime I looked at him today. If I'm not crying I'm absolutely furious! Bloody hormones.

19+5. 9 days to scan!

melliebobs · 19/09/2011 20:48

lol xavielli if it's a girl we've kind of pretty much agreed on her being called Laila Emily (surname) But for a boy. Poor thing, DH has suggested Adam2, Johnson2 (johnson is the name of our dog!) Herod, wolf, more sensible are Dexter, Jesse and Beau. DH also wrote a note next to the lists saying something along of the lines "fingers crossed we pick you a good one! I'm sure you'll tell us if we haven't!"

louby what baby book have you got? It's something i've wanted to get, but the ones i've seen are mainly about the first few years and not much if anything about the pregnancy bit. And when you see them online you don't know what's included.

Crazybit · 19/09/2011 20:55

Gonerogue-How completely shit for you and your family. I cannot imagine what you must all be going through. So sorry :(

Coffee-Glad the pain has stopped-is it your first?

Rnbsmum-Ooooh a girl. My house is all girl so far, me, 2xdds, female cat and OH and unknown bump.

Not seen OH to discuss names for ages so no idea what he is thinking.
Re anterior placenta-Am going ot google that as I have hardly felt anything.

Phlossie good luck for tomorrow.

My scan is 2 weeks today.

Any ideas for a name for a new thread, we're going to run out soon.

How about Baby bus destined for Feb 2012
or Due Feb 2012, half way there (or thereabouts!)

18+1

woowa · 19/09/2011 21:53

How about

We're all aching on the babybus feb 2012

?

Took DD to my parents' for the weekend, on the train. She in pushchair plus luggage, and MAN did that make the SPD worse. STrainign to NOT drop the pushchair out of the train door was the worst bit. Fortunately it has improved and I was more careful today on the way home. It's amazing how many people are so busy trying to get on the train before anyone else that they don't notice big pushchairs coming out of doors. humph. HOW am i going to get TWO children on the train to visit my parents???? It's exhausting enough doing 300 miles with one. And that's without the underground. If i move to somewhere requiring me to use the tube ARGHHHHHHHHHH.

DH took me to costa coffee when he picked me up from station. an unusual attack of sweet kindness, and he cooked tea. happy me.

Anyway, everyone sounds more or less well. 20 week scan on WEDNESDAY!! Hoping they'll redate me back to what I should be!

20 weeks tomorrow!!

louby86 · 19/09/2011 21:59

crazy my scan is the same day as yours, exciting!

mellie we've got the forever friends baby record book. I think the page at the back is for the first birthday but everything else is just for baby. There's a page for scan pictures called 'before I arrived', the page for names, what was in the nursery and then loads of first photos with people pages and a little family tree. It's well cute although it did make me a bit tearful when I saw little bears with speech bubbles saying things like 'I'm so lucky because mummy and daddy love me so much'. Was a really lovely gift to receive.

Xavielli I laughed when I saw your comment about names, we've had Steven gerrard, luis Suarez and pepe reina mentioned so far!

ZhenXiang · 19/09/2011 23:22

rnbsmum - congrats on another girl, are your DC's excited?

Xavielli - with DD DH suggested Jan Johannes Vennegoor after Jan Johannes Vennegoor of Hasselink! I just gave him a Hmm look and ignored.

Got 16 week midwife appt tomorrow (although will be 17+1) then only two weeks until anomaly scan on the 4th. Hopefully we will find out whether it is a girl or a boy.

Baby kicking now not just rolling around and pushing, but because of anterior placenta I feel it more upwards into diaphragm/stomach area, at sides or very low down.

BillComptonstrousers · 20/09/2011 04:23

Morning! Awake early due to stupid stupid tiny bladder and tummy rumblings. If I wasn't by myself with the kids I'd be off to McDonalds down the road!
