Here we are girls. I think we are all a bit shell-shocked at the moment, aren't we?

Thinking of you DHW and wishing life wasn't so cruel sometimes.

Jackstini and anyone else who lives near McArthur Glen, J28 M1, there is a new (well new to me anyway!) Next Clearance shop up there, with cheapo next baby stuff, managed to get dd some spring shoes for £3.00!!! will be back to attack the baby rails for beanie in Jan, once I've sorted out what we have and haven't got!

No anti D here, although I do have the nice glucose test at hopsital tomorrow am....then hopefully if dh actually remembers to bring me some money home tonight, I shall go Xmas shopping for the kids! argh!

good news is dh painted dd's new room yesterday, so when he finishes off the trickiy bits (windows n blinds) tonight, we should be able to get dd moved into her new room, thus freeing up the nursery shortly! hurrah!!

Hope all are well out there {{Xmas Hugs}}

munz · 19/12/2005 09:37

no anti d here either, i'm rh pos and o pos don't know what diff that makes??

friz - that's where most of our baby clothes r from next clearance/baby gap! lol (we're gonna have a chav designer baby! lol - least till he gets to 6 months when we can't afford to keep it up! lol)

hope everyone's OK.

munz · 19/12/2005 09:38

ooh CT - my great aunt had twins - they didn't realise till they were born (u had an x ray in those days) and basically one twin was hiding behind the other. u sure it's only one! lol.

friz - good luck for tomorrow!

laundrylover · 19/12/2005 22:05

Just saying 'hello' to all the bumpy ladies.
After everyone discussing leg cramp I've bloody well caught it!!! Not a whisper of it last time.
Had to be pulled into an enormous tubi-grip for my SPD by Pete so we could go Xmas shopping on Sat which was quite amusing.
Am starting to feel like I did with PND and crying too much this week which is a bit worrying - reckon it's just being so immobile and Xmas coming up and everything. Come on girls tell me all your funnies....

munz · 19/12/2005 22:56

LL - promise to come on tomorrow with some jokes - been down myself these past 3/4 days. i'm hoping it's normal! lol.

LizzylouDonkey · 20/12/2005 08:51

HI all

Just catching up on my "work day"....am hobbling round with bad pains on my inner thighs...bump is still massive, though am carrying completely different to with DS. This time my bump is totally "out there" (maaan!) whereas it was all round before....hopefully this means will lose the weight sooner! (pah!) My Mom even said that I still have a waist (of sorts!).
Am a bit worried about having a giant baby...but am a big girl so should be ok!
Hope you are all ok xxx

ChristmasgiftCATJalogue · 20/12/2005 10:06

One of my rare visits
Have been a bit up and down TBH (just to cheer you all up!)
On the good side the pains in my pelvis have vanished. Bizarre or what! I don't know if its because the baby has changed position. I was getting most of the movement low down on both sides but its now lying up and down, although breech. As long as it doesn't get too comfy that way up.
Had a trace of sugar in my wee last week but managed to persuade the midwife that it was the two cans of non-diet coke & the chocs I ate at my mates house the night before Oops!
Ps twins are great fun CT!!!

munz · 20/12/2005 10:15

ok first one then... te he he!

Reasons why Santa can't possibly be a man:

  • Men can't pack a bag.
  • Men would rather be dead than caught wearing red velvet.
  • Men would feel their masculinity is threatened...having to be seen with all those elves.
  • Men don't answer their mail.
  • Men would refuse to allow their physique to be described even in jest as anything remotely resembling a "bowlful of jelly."
  • Men aren't interested in stockings unless somebody's wearing them.
  • Having to do the "Ho Ho Ho" thing would seriously inhibit their ability to pick up women.
  • Finally, being responsible for Christmas would require a commitment.
munz · 20/12/2005 10:18

and another one!

It was little Johnny's first day in a new school, so his father looked up the teacher. He told her that little Johnny was a good kid but that he was an avid gambler. He warned her that little Johnny might win lunch money from the other kids if he was not watched closely. The teacher did not seem disturbed, assured the father that she had handled many such problems and was very capable of taking care of little Johnny's urge to gamble. Shortly after lunch, the father called the teacher and asked her how things were going. "Oh, everything is going very well." She said. "I think I may have cured little Johnny of his gambling habit." The father asked her what had happened. "The little tyke absolutely insisted on betting me ten dollars that I had a mole on my rear." She said. "I finally agreed to the bet and took him to the teacher's lounge to show him that I had no mole." "Damn!" The father said. "He bet me fifty dollars this morning that he would see the teacher's ass before the day was over."

hope u're all doing OK today and these cheer us all up a bit!

ChristmasgiftCATJalogue · 20/12/2005 10:25

Made me laugh!

romilly · 20/12/2005 14:14

munz.

hi ladies. hope you are all scoffing chocotes and lounging around on the sofa today.

LizzylouDonkey · 20/12/2005 14:16

Thanks MUnz...cheered me up!

I am trying to force myself out of my cosy house to go swimming...but I'm still at the pc!

Frizbethebumpedupreindeer · 20/12/2005 15:55

Lol Munz, very good
Well have been for the boring GTT test today, zzzzzzz is all I can say, be prepared to be bored in the two hour wait if you need one ladies!
on the plus side, I have managed to buy the rest of the xmas prezzies, YEAH!!!! so am now off to wrap them, so will catch you all later....

Oh and have spoken to midwife about my very itchy lower legs, which I've been lathering in aqueous cream, if they get any worse, she's gona test me for the liver thingy.....booo.....hopefully its not that, its just dry legs!

romilly · 20/12/2005 15:58

friz - eeeek! what liver thingy???? i have got v. itchy lower legs, esp. at night

LizzylouDonkey · 20/12/2005 16:06

Frizbe, I thought that that was for itchy hands and feet? Hope it clears up xx

munz · 21/12/2005 10:16

lol@ LL - ah u don't wanna swim! lol.

eek friz - what's the liver thingy then? there's so many extra probs u can have during PG.

no word on my bloods - am assuming they're fine.

Frizbethebumpedupreindeer · 22/12/2005 09:53

Ah the itchy thing, is alledgedly hands and feet, but article in baby mag the other week, said it can be anywhere! so I double checked with midwife who said it can be anywhere too and if continues to get it checked.....argh! it's called 'Obstetric Cholestasis'P82 of your bounty books girls.... midwife said you often get headaches with it too...so don't panic all, I think midwife is just being on safe side n all that!
Hope your all well today anyway.
We got dd moved into her new room yesterday, and she slept like a dream, loves her new colours of PINK and blue, awwwww, also likes the lots of room as well, managed to pick up a bargin bookshelf for £7.50 for her from Ikeas bargin corner as well, so v chuffed with self
Now have nursery to sort out 9 weeks on Sunday and counting.....argh.....

munz · 22/12/2005 10:02

9 week friz, i'm 10 on sunday till 40 weeks.

glad u got DD settled. our nursery is still full of DH's 'boyz toys! lol' we were going to get it sorted in the new year after visitors have gone and the tree's down etc.

last day today - half day.

good news as well, possibly got a lady to take over from me we used to work together - she's a fab woman but can do this job backwards so I woun't be needed in this capacity

RosiePosie · 22/12/2005 12:07

Hi everyone, we've been drowning in a sickness and diarrhoea bug here, all okay now though and over in time for xmas, thank goodness. Had a MW appointment this morning. She reassured me that bump was a good size, just compact (I'd been worrying about that ) but threw me when she said she wanted more bloods done at 36 weeks to get the go ahead with the homebirth - remember I fainted last time? I didn't say anything, but I'll see how I feel nearer the time. I get a scan too, which is nice . Baby is breech at the moment - that's normal for nearly 31 weeks, right?? I can't remember a thing!

OP posts:
laundrylover · 22/12/2005 12:45

RP - glad the bug has gone just in time for Xmas.
Munz - thanks for the jokes, just what I needed although thankfully my hormones seemed to have calmed down a bit now. Went to friends on Sat night and cried in the kitchen like a weirdo! Pete is being great now as have reminded him that like PND it's not logical and will pass.
Tilly slept til 10am this morning!!! Must be the anti histamine that's she's having for her excema.
Am impressed that you all know how your babies are lying - this one is sprawled out like a spider as far as I can tell! But my bump is def growing and am as big now as I was full term last time. Am getting worried about having to push a big 'un out!
Am thinking of hiring a hot tub for my home birth but it will have to go in the conservatory! What are your home birth plans RP (and any one else)?

Ags · 22/12/2005 13:38

Just wanted to wish everybody a Happy and Healthy Christmas. It seems unbelievable that there is such a short time left of our pregnancies.

In fact, I will probably now be a Feb delivery as I have found out I will be having a C. section. Huge relief all round as I am obviously far too posh to push!!! Just joking, had emergency c.section after 24 hours of non progress last time so very pleased not to have to worry about that again!

My New Years resolution is to keep in touch more often with you all and I always keep my resolutions!! Hopefully will with this one though. Hope everyone is in good health. I am blessed and only have thrush and indigestion to worry about. A very comfortable pregnancy so far.

Anyway, Good luck you all and have a lovely festive time.

Frizbethebumpedupreindeer · 22/12/2005 19:29

Ags you must come and natter on the Feb thread as well then, we're a friendly bunch there's a few of us doubling up, just in case!
My birth plan is pethadine again, if I can get there in time, as going by dd's arrival, this one should just pop out! (knowing my luck something horrible will go wrong this time and it'll end in tears instead)

Munz, don't worry about the job, legally if you want to go back, they have to give you the same job back, or have a damn good reason to move you to some other thing, as they cannot recruit to fill your position, as you still occupy it!

RP glad the bug has gone now, horrible things to have hit the household.

LL, hope your feeling a bit better today, you sound like it, glad dd slept till 10am!

munz · 23/12/2005 00:26

just a quick one girls, just got home from the xmas dinner - why is it ppl think cos u're PG ur tum's public property?? lol. 7 months and not so much as two feels (apart form DH) tonight in one night about 6 ppl had a feel! I mean do we all wear signs saying touch me baby this way?? lol.

also not sure what's happening, feels like baby's trying to push out (I know he's not) but kicks are v low, and also my ahem bit's are feeling rather erm... empty for what of a better phrase - is this the whole BH thingy? - tummy's not been contracting or anything thou. have had kicks etc so not worried on thhat score. any ideas?

newgirl · 23/12/2005 11:25

Hi everyone!

Its been lovely reading all the news and Munz's jokes! I've been swamped with work so I haven't been on here for a while!

Lizzylou/rom - we went to essauria and marrakesh too! Really liked essauria and the cafes and fish grills and i took my dd in a hamman which was an experience. Stayed in riad maizie in marrakesh which was very pretty. seems like ages ago now!

laundrylover - i think the us parks is a great idea. It so easy to drive round there and so family friendly you will have a fantastic time.

to all those feeling a bit fed up - me too!! I reckon its the next phase of the pregnancy along with the itchy legs! I've got those too! Mine feel itchy at night sort of inside rather than on the skin so I think its circulation or something. I think the fed-up bit is mainly to do with lack of alcohol on my part! So I think I will have to have some now for the sake of my sanity!!

munz - I forgot about the 28 week bloods!!! thanks for the reminder - I think I had better book in for a check in new year - being very slack this time! I think my iron will be ok though with all the food I'm scoffing!

love to you all, happy christmas and heres to an eventful new year for us all! xxx

munz · 23/12/2005 11:30

rp - aww honney right on xmas I hope you're feeling better soon. fingers crossed the bloods will be fine for u in a few weeks - just don't let a student m/w do it lol. glad bump's looking good. I think Jessicaandrebeccasmummy was breeech till about 32 weeks (or at 32 week check) with beccy. LO turned around - lots of kneeling on all fours with bum in the air then for u! lol. (I'm sure there's a more dignified look than having bum in the air but it's the only one I know! ) lol.

LL - I saw you on the other anti natal thread as well. I've managed to pick up a bit now, esp after last ngiht was good to get out to the pub and have DH slurring all over me how beautiful I looked PG! lol. bless him! even managed to go back to sleep for an hour after breakfast! lol - most unlike me! a big en eh! lol - what's the m/w said - any cause for worry just yet?

ags - ello good to hear things are coming along wiht you. lol@ too posh to push - will u be doing the tummy tuck as well at the same time! lol - i'm sure it's what celebs do that's why they all have sections I'm positive! lol.

friz - ooh we have to think birth plans soon don't we?? I've got Jakes little bag packed - his copboard was over crowded so I chucked some into a bag for him. I was hoping for just G&A, don't want any of the other drugs, but we shall see on the day i'll prob be screaming for an epidural or soemthing, but the plan's just G&A so far! lol. I know the job will still be mine. the boss was saying last night to DH how the co is in great shape and I knew how to run a business - shame I can't run our own money the same way! lol - other ppls i'm excelletn with! lol. it has been said the job's only for 6 months, but then i'll be back p/t for 6 months (max) then off anyways moving, so I don't know we shall see. got to have a word to the new girl either way after all those 'personal' transactions we were talking about lol - I just shove it to PTE account and say nothing (boss can then take it up at the y/e with the accounts/auditors)lol - what do u think can knee high boots be classed as work shoes for an 80 yr old lady! lol. but just to forwarn her as if they do appoint my ex-collegue she is a little more erm reserved.
