Here we are girls. I think we are all a bit shell-shocked at the moment, aren't we?

Thinking of you DHW and wishing life wasn't so cruel sometimes.

Sorry - crashing a little bit... thought I'd see what you guys talked about Catj - Knew you were pregnant, but didn't realise we were only a month apart Will be good to see another pregnant woman when we meet!!!!

coppertop · 30/11/2005 16:23

I've just caught up with the news. So sorry, DHW.

Atomicstockinghanger · 30/11/2005 16:36

Hi! A lot of you won't now me but I was on this thread a while ago before I sadly lost my baby

I just wanted to pop on and say Desperatehousewife, I am so sorry to read what happened. I have only just seen it whilst catching up with my March friends. I hope things are as okay as they can be. I am thinking of you and sending you lots of love and best wishes xxxxxxxxx

If any of you speak to DHW, let her know I'm thinking of her.

I hope the rest of you are getting on well. Not long to go now, Looking forward to seeing the birth announcments xxx

Atomicstockinghanger · 30/11/2005 16:37

Oh BTW I was on this thread as Baggybear, sorry name change since then

poppyh · 30/11/2005 17:32

Hi Baggybear, hope you are well.
Just got back from hospital.Had my growth scan, and the baby is the right size!!Hurrah!!
So it just goes to show that my bump size doesnt mean my baby is small, feel relieved and a little bit smug.
Hope everyone else ok today.

romilly · 30/11/2005 17:36

hi girls - another one here who is shell-shocked at the devastating news about DHW. it is just so horribly sad.

munz - you are just amazing with the stats, well done hun.

by the way you got my age slightly wrong still but i am happy that you have undercooked it! also i am SW london, not SE like spiker and poppy, but it doesnt matter!

oneofeach · 30/11/2005 17:43

I haven't posted on here for ages but do try to have a read through every few days. I was so shocked and sad for DHW and like everyone else just can't really believe it. I'm sure she will get lots of support on Mumsnet when she is ready.

On a lighter note, I'm now 36, I hope that doesn't make me the oldest mum on this thread. Glad everyone else is doing well. I'm 26 weeks now and feel that time is going really quickly, I hope the last 10 weeks after Christmas don't drag on. My DS and DD have really been tiring me out the last week or so, and I keep wondering what I'm letting myself in for!

romilly · 30/11/2005 17:46

no, oneofeach you are not the oldest one on this thread there are a few of us who are a little more senior even

munz · 30/11/2005 17:51

now then young rom b4 I update the stats again after my dinner lets have your proper age - i'm sure u did tell me! lol. what are we going for the 21, 22 38, 39, 45?? lol.

poppyh · 30/11/2005 18:10

One Of each,
I keep wondering what ive let myself in for too.(I have one of each as well!)
Im already really tired and hope the lase few weeks after xmas dont drag too much!

Frizbe · 30/11/2005 19:10

Girls age really doesn't matter you know!

Poppy H glad all is well with bubba

Munz, thanks for updating the stats, wondering if we should technically put 3 for me, as ss = 1 and dd already makes 2! so although due no 2 for me, its no 3 for the family or is all that farrrr to complicated!

Well gona dash as dh taking me out for a meal, nothing fancy, just pub, but glad to be getting out, babysitter just on way over now

spiker · 30/11/2005 19:58

munz - dh has own business and we've never had much money, and are only just in a position to buy now (thank-you whoever invented self-cert mortgages). But we want a garden and some space, enough to accommodate the business too, and we certainly can't afford to do that in London. Leeds make sense for various reasons for us and on the whole I'm pretty excited about it, but I'm a bit scared about losing all my familiar kid-friendly activities and friends.

poppyh - what hospital you booked into? I don't have a choice - it's Mayday or home-birth for me (assuming I'm still here), and dh not keen on the latter.

BH contractions have started now. er, does anybody else get a little endorphin rush from or is that just me?

RosiePosie · 30/11/2005 20:55

Hi everyone who hasn't posted for a while. I have one of each too, and failing to feel excited at the prospect of a third, tbh. I'm looking forward to having a new baby, but not to having 3 children, if you see what I mean.

My pelvic pain has got much worse the last couple of weeks, and I am housebound now apart from the school run - thank god I drive. I've had to ask the headteacher for a disability sticker so I can park in the school grounds, as I am literally unable to walk more than 100 yards. So it's daytime tv and online shopping for me for the next three months, but quite honestly - I don't really mind. I know I will be okay again once the baby is out and 3 months isn't THAT long.

OP posts:
laundrylover · 30/11/2005 21:32

RP your pelvis sounds like a nightmare but enjoy that daytime telly whilst you can. Mine too is worsening but I am actually seeing the physio for the first time tomorrow. Not expecting much but allowing half and hour to mince up the hill to the surgery.
Spiker - I had no BH last time but have woken up a couple of times recently and thought I was paralysed so think they are to blame. Was a bit scary TBH. Friends of ours moved to Skipton from Hackney and with the kids found themselves right at home - no regrets. We cheated a bit 'cos we were northerners born and bred and then braved London for a few years before returning to the grim mills and rain!

poppyh · 01/12/2005 08:46

Spiker, I am booked in to Lewisham and fed up with the place already!!
So you must live near Croydon then?
RP, I know what you mean about third.I am now sick of being pregnant!!
Was told yesterday bubba weighs 2lb, which made it seem much more real.

romilly · 01/12/2005 12:59

lol laundrylover @ you mincing up the hill!

rosiep - sorry to hear you are suffering from pelvic pain. i have terrible rib pains on my right hand side but no pelvic....yet...

dont think i've had braxton hicks yet either

friz - hope you had a nice bit of pub grub with d/h last night

i keep thinking about DHW, it is so so sad i hope she is okay.

Frizbethebumpedupreindeer · 01/12/2005 13:30

Oh fab grub thanks Rom, in fact too much of it, ended up with rotten heartburn later, that'll teach me to be such a pig
Also made the huge mistake of going to get a glass of water at 3.30am, the stair gate squeaked and dd woke up, too us two hours to get her off to sleep again...poor old dh had to go to work an hour later.....was not very happy....oopse.....needless to say she's now fast asleep!

munz · 01/12/2005 15:26

rom have had word from DHW today - here bit of additional support for her I think.

desperatehousewife · 01/12/2005 15:27

thanks girls - i'm fine honestly! Just so glad it's all over.

Have to say though it's made my mind up about what type of birth i want next time round (def c-section!!!!!)

munz · 01/12/2005 15:29

(((hugs))) you are v brave honney (((hugs)). be good to yourself.

Zephyrcat · 01/12/2005 16:00

Hi all. DHW if you're still here I've just left a message for you on your other thread - you are one amazing lady.

Just come back from my ante-natal appt and finally have a date lol

I told her about my crap scans and she agreed that the dates they had written were completely confusing!! So we went with my date of conception -2 weeks (which is the date I've been telling them from day one!) So she's put me down as April 12th. I took off 2 weeks for my cs which is how I got the end of March date but apparently here they do the cs at 39 weeks so will most likely be first week in April-ish. Phew!! Why didn't they just listen to me in the first place??! Still at least I finally know where I'm at now

My next mission is to get a proper scan and find out the sex - although if it's taken me 22 weeks to get a due date I might as well wait til it's born!!

Frizbethebumpedupreindeer · 01/12/2005 20:30

DHW you sure are one amazing lady {{{{{Hugs}}}}

Frizbethebumpedupreindeer · 03/12/2005 19:18
