Are your children’s vaccines up to date?
macaroonmum · 16/07/2011 20:27

Big unashamed hugs all round then. It's alright if we cop a feel why we're at it, right?

Alps the first months are all twitchy soreness and stretching so I'm sure it's normal. As for the tiredness...I can't be arsed to do anything now, but i remember the almost catatonic state of the first 2 months.

I'm full term today. Just remembered!

I luffs your visits.

MrBitey · 16/07/2011 20:39

PS Sorry sprocket only just processed your sprout update, so glad you have had good news Smile

yay to full term maccers!

rocketleaf · 16/07/2011 21:40

Thanks for the lovely thought beautiful PESH, it's a relief and a bit of a disappointment at the same time. Nothing to worry about but also hard not to iyswim. Ta foxy its good to hear that from someone who knows a bit about it. TBH i think the murmur was caused by the open valve (cant remember acronym P something?) which has now closed and if that hadn't been heard we might have been none the wiser about the VSD.

Sorry there is no laying yet, hope the sweeps do the trick lady and your cervix plays ball for the next one or you get ET as midwife.

Also sorry pone is getting freaky pains, might it just be the ligaments by the scar needing to be a bit more stretchy?

owlbooty · 17/07/2011 12:38

Whoop, Maccer - today I join you with the full-termness! Now all I have to do is finish laying the fecking carpet and paint the nursery and ARGH.

Bites sorry, you have to wait until the 29th. As we share a birthday I feel it is important that we also manage a clusterlay and I cannot change my schedule otherwise it will mean an emergency dash to pick up the pool early Grin

Pone I too had all manner of random and rather painful twinges in the first 3 months - here's hoping they settle down soon as I recall them being damn uncomfortable esp. when coughing or sneezing.

GG and Ginners this sweep business sounds tricky. Hopefully Tuesday will kick everything off nicely though. I now have something new to fret about as I couldn't reach my cervix and as I have said before I actually do have cartoon massive hands, therefore the MW stands no chance should it come to that point. Fucksticks.

More raspberry leaf sorbet, anyone?

LadyGoneGaga · 17/07/2011 14:33

Although I can only just wipe my own bum now, Owlie. So if you're anything like me the midwife may be better placed to reach than you are.

Happy full term to mecca and Owlie

owlbooty · 17/07/2011 15:08

That did make me laff Grin

I did read up on perineal massage and realised there was no way I could reach to do it. So that's that fucked then, I'm not asking Mr Boots. He's already got sieve trauma.

Medee · 17/07/2011 15:52

Ha, I tried twice, completely impractical. I had an episiotomy anyway!

rocketleaf · 17/07/2011 19:05

I did it fairly religiously for the last 6 weeks although I think if I had gone to 40 weeks I might not have bern able to reach any more. I had a small tear that didnt need stitches so who knows if it was down to that. Sprouts head is slightly under average circ now and, she was early so could be that. Or may I have an enormoflange Blush

BrownB · 17/07/2011 19:55

Evening ladies. I find it astounding that I've had a few days off, and not a single moment to spend on mn. Am now going to rush off and catch up on the three pages I've missed...

MadameBoo · 17/07/2011 21:53

I did it (perineal massage) but I didn't like it very much. It was a bit hurty.

MrBitey · 17/07/2011 22:40

got stuck in the bath earlier, stupid sciatica! Was trapped in the dying fly position, couldn't straighten legs and had to be rescued by husband. Bath had to be drained and lots of me dried as was too slippery to be hauled out. Not my sexiest moment Sad

Have shampooed the lounge room carpet today, perhaps moving all the furniture out provoked back?

Has anyone laid a baybee yet?

MadameBoo · 17/07/2011 23:39

:o @ boozwams

owlbooty · 18/07/2011 10:05

I wrote a bloody message and the fuckering MN thingy logged me out and now it is gone.

Instead I shall write a condensed version:

Ginner: Cervixwatch?

Pilates: Anyone still exercising?

Rocket: Enormoflange or arms like orangutan?

Bites: Don't overdo it on first day off. Sit around on arse. Drink tea.

Cocking MN did it again! But no; I had copied the text first. Screw you, MN. Grin

Ginfox · 18/07/2011 10:25

Same here Owlie. Fucking stupid t'internet.

Nothing to report I'm afraid.

Saw Sarah Millican on TV the other night, talking about her arse forming a perfect seal in the bath, and damming the water behind her. Am close to that myself, and if I can't get my hands behind me to push myself up I will be joining bitey in needing the fire brigade to assist.

How's everyone today? Loving the Boozwams (and quite literally).

I am trying to think of a several-hour long project that can't possibly be interrupted, in the hope that Foxcub will naturally want to interrupt. Best I can think of is making a xmas cake. Any suggestions?

OP posts:
owlbooty · 18/07/2011 10:28

Oooh. Make bread from scratch - that always guarantees interruption whilst it is rising.

I curse the absence of old giffer handles on my bathtub. They should come as standard. That or a winch or Heath-Robinsonesque system of pulleys and levers.

rocketleaf · 18/07/2011 11:04

booty we decided Sprout looks a little like a baby orangutan with her hair (but much prettier) so there is a precedence :o

Off for first ever mother and daughter shopping trip, the weather is horrendous, I must be mad but she is growing out of stuff so needs must. No one lay while I'm out (see that there sods law invocation?)

AlpinePony · 18/07/2011 11:16

Congratulations all you full-termers - where does the time go?

Friends! I have decided to come clean.

I'm having a horrible time "bodily function" wise. This morning I pooped in the bed, amazing really given I've not kept any food down since saturday. I ran to the bathroom to sort myself out, meanwhile JB put his hand in it thinking it was blood! ShockGrin About half an hour ago I puked all over my face... I felt it coming and put my hands up - it just bounced off my hands on to my face.

Can I have a go on the glamour crown please and can you sprinkle me with sequins cuz I'm feeling H.A.W.T! Wink

macaroonmum · 18/07/2011 11:53

oh Alps perhaps we should give a special sympathy prize to JB. I don't think anyone is going to contest the glamour crown after that story

twit-twoo EXERCISE?!!

MrB I can't seem to get off a chair without contorting myself into agonising shapes recently - right buttock sciatica is FUN I don't think i'd even try to get in/out of a bath these days actually.

Ginz what about taking all the books off the bookcase and rearranging them? Or sorting out wardrobes? will defo come right when you are in the middle of it and everything is on the floor around you.

Ginfox · 18/07/2011 12:09

Macca good thinking re: sorting out wardrobe, tho I'm not sure I can go through my luffly pre-diffment clothes without crying. Bread-making was also good, but have run out of flour and can't face going to tesco just for that.

Owl I have been doing differs yoga every other day, just because otherwise my back will remember the strain it is under and give me hell. Also eases the rib pain and heartburn a bit.

Whilst we're 'fessing up, I have lately been unable to trust my farts, and therefore have felt the need to make special trip to loo for farting purposes just in case. Might as well just put mattress in bathroom and stay there.

Good luck on expedition Rocket. Let us know how you both get on in the Great Outdoors.

OP posts:
BrownB · 18/07/2011 12:29

Congratulations for all the full-termers. Does that mean I need four sets of binoculars for ease of stalking Gin, Maccars, GG, Biter (and possibly Booty too?). Good luck on the sweeps tomorrow GG and Gin.

As for you Alps - I thought you had a deal with the universe for this pregnancy? That all really does suck most seriously. I have no words that would even start to help.

In fact, I'm okay. Energy slowly improving and nausea dying down. Am almost 13 weeks now, and have another scan on Thursday. Am hungry ALL THE TIME and my palette is still a little fucked up, but otherwise am fine and dandy. Have put on too much weight, and am trying to ignore the sections of the baby books that berate me for this, and continue to try to eat healthy stuff in spite of the way it makes me feel .

LadyGoneGaga · 18/07/2011 14:20

Yay for Brownie being almost 13 weeks! Ignore baby books on weight gain. They lie. Disclaimer: you might want to ignore me as the woman who piles on 5 stone in pregnancy. Does go again afterwards with minimal effort from me.

I must say though that my face and tops of arms look a little less fat since being on the low-GI kick/giving up cakes. But that might just be in contrast to my enormous belly.

Owlie had my final differs yoga session this morning. Not sure i really categorise it as exercise though. Like Gin more the only way of keeping me mobile. On plus side my SPD seems to have cured itself.

Ouch Bitey, hope back resolves itself soon. Don't want that in labour.

Gin have you filled your freezer full of nourishing casseroles yet? That kept me occupied for a day. Good luck for your sweep tomorrow. Mine is at 10 I think.

Spoke to hospital today and they are not bothered that my blood sugars have been shit over the weekend. Apparently not shit enough to bring forward the induction date. So still on for Sunday.

Talking of shit I do sympathise, Alps. I think I managed to poo myself shortly after MiniG was born. Luckily in my pants though and not so anyone else could put their hands into it. Could you not have blamed it on Bear?

BarbiesBeaver · 18/07/2011 15:33

SO all still here then? Work and house renovations have meant I can't post as much as I'd like but I try to keep a beady eye on you all.

Yay brownie for 13 weeks! That seemed to go past quickly.

Alps that brought horrible flashbacks of vomiting into the toilet that I'd just had an emergency piss in (to prevent pissing of pants) and the vomity pisswater splashing up into my face....Urgh.

Gaga that's good they aren't moving your induction (isn't it?)I must try ot start some sort of Differ's yoga.

I think I have started feeling some movements - little flicks quite low down. Seems early at 17 weeks though?
